I'm liking these arcade videos a lot more than the other stuff, not that I dislike them, it's just cool seeing these arcade machines and stuff considering it's been years since I went to a legit arcade.
This! If you got your shit together and can handle it, then you can go have some fun at an arcade. But I think a video like this needs a disclaimer that the odds are NEVER in your favor and everybody playing has to be aware that you will loose money. If you cant deal with that, never ever play there.
I had a horrible 3 days. Like just _horrible_ This video legit cheered me up for 16 minutes. I remember going to the arcade with my dad (PuttPutt, Mountasia, or Nickelmania). My dad loved the coin pushers and he was always just as excited as me to buy some prizes. We'd split our winnings and Id get a brown bag full of kiddie nailpolishes, "chinese finger cuffs", and mini plastic toys, and hed get anything starwars related and a bunch of oversized candy. Really sweet memories, brought me back. I liked the music too. And It's always great to see someone truly enjoying something so wholesome and simple. I feel stupid for finding so much comfort in this video but I did so thanks lol. You should make more. You're really good at making them & its a plus that you truly enjoy most of the things you review. These wouldn't be the same with a different host.
Why do you feel stupid for finding comfort in thus video? Don't. From the way you're talking, it sounds like your dad passed. If so, I'm sorry. Enjoy the coin pusher videos and DON'T FEEL STUPID! OK? If you like, I'll tell you what reminds me of my dad.
These machines are a poor imitation of what a real arcade experience is like. These barely entertain you and you're mostly playing for an external, physical reward. Round1 is the closest thing to an actual large-chain arcade these days because while it might have some of these same machines, they have a large selection of fighting game cabinets and rhythm games straight from Japan. You know, stuff you'll be playing for actual fun.
Honestly really like these videos! Feels a lot more casual, and like I'm actually going to the arcade with you Would love to see more of these kinds of videos from you!
My 10 year old brother has had absolutely nuts luck on it too! He once got the jackpot twice in a row iirc, either that or only with one spin in between the two jackpots. I always have shit luck when I play tho lol
Y'know, I don't know what it is, but somehow, no matter what kind of content you make, it's always entertaining. From gaming, to cooking and to this, it's always good. Keep up the good content, Ian.
I got the chance to briefly visit an arcade just a few days ago and spent most of my time at a Marvel Avengers coin pusher thanks to this video. I walked away with cards for Captain America, Iron Man, and Doctor Strange, which I considered prizes in their own right because of how rarely I get to go to arcades. So thanks for introducing me to this kind of game, BrutalMoose!
As often as I get to go to arcades (almost never) I, too, would've kept the cards. 🃏 I have a soft spot for coin pushers, as I played them at the state fair growing up!
Some local restaurants in my small hometown always had some real deal coin pushers (i.e. cash in , cash out) . My grandma always gave us quarters to play. She also taught us how to play poker and blackjack. Man I miss her...and proper arcades
i used to work at an arcade with a wizard of oz machine, one thing i remember was that the chances of toto dropping were also determined by how many toto cards were redeemed the day before. at the start of the day, we would count up how many had been redeemed, and if that number went above a certain amount we would put the rest at the top so they had basically 0 chance of dropping. idk if that's what's going on at your arcade (the one i worked at wanted ppl to win as little as possible lol) but it's a possibility.
The key game is not even rigged, it’s broken. The toys are held by cable wire, in a position that makes them hard to push, and the key pushes only .5 psi. Also most machines are programmed to only dispense items, at 300 to over 1000 dollars. THEN, in lots of places, it’s policy for store employees to refuse giving the item to the recipient, and then put it back in the machine. It is literally throwing away money
I would love to see a review on the rail shooters! The games where you get a prop gun and aim at the screen. Time Crisis, Terminator, Laura Croft etc. They’re super tough but it feels great holding that toy gun and blasting enemies away. It would be awesome to hear your take on them. This video was pretty great! I’m a huge Dave and Busters fan so it’s sweet to see one of my favorite UA-camrs play the same games as me.

I went to an arcade recently that has the 6 player Wizard of Oz machine with some family and friends. There were five of us and we actually spent a lot of our time on this machine. It's super addictive and fun!
Back in my day, you got to keep the coins a coin pusher pushed off the edge, and they weren't tokens, they were quarters, but 1990s quarters, which are worth about $5 adjusted for inflation.
I really love the ambient smooth jazz you put in the background. That along with the neon lights and dark everything else makes for a really cool aesthetic.

I'm liking these arcade videos a lot more than the other stuff, not that I dislike them, it's just cool seeing these arcade machines and stuff considering it's been years since I went to a legit arcade.
You should remind your veiwer to spend with responsibly! That goes to you too man please don't become addicted! XD
This! If you got your shit together and can handle it, then you can go have some fun at an arcade. But I think a video like this needs a disclaimer that the odds are NEVER in your favor and everybody playing has to be aware that you will loose money. If you cant deal with that, never ever play there.
Cyber Mark Yeah, i might have done that, i didn't know you were supposed to turn the cards in so now i have a pile of stolen cards
Key master/prize locker has a predetermined table on whether you'll win or not. Dont play it.
honestly if Ian made this channel an arcade channel I'd still stan
I had a horrible 3 days. Like just _horrible_
This video legit cheered me up for 16 minutes.
Ian: "What is Gary's best talent?"
Me: "Uhh I dunno, poetry?"
Ian: "It's poetry"
i don't think i've ever been as hype as that moment
These videos are so homey. Also Pop the Lock = REAL shit
Honestly one of the few "modern" arcade games I can stand
You know I never really paid these types of arcade machines much attention before. Thanks for opening my eyes Ian!
I STILL don't. These things ruined the REAL arcade experience.
Any day there is an upload from Brutal moose is a good day :)
Agreed!
Honestly really like these videos! Feels a lot more casual, and like I'm actually going to the arcade with you
Would love to see more of these kinds of videos from you!
Pleaaaase make more content like this. Your channel has so much variety and charm, its a huge rebound from the gaming-only content.
With that Elvis game, it would be cheaper to use actual quarters. That’s just insane.
I think that was the initial use for that one. The payout would be more quarters
Can I put my vote in to call the BrutalMoose field trip series "BrutalMoves"?
Yes
You have my approval 👍
How about BrutalCruise? Or BrutalCools.
brutalmoves would be more suited for a dance video ;P
He needs to review alcoholic drinks. BrutalBooze
More and more this video has become important during this pandemic. A reminder of what it was like to be in an arcades just even a year ago.
5:11 you can faintly hear mj's bell jingle right after ian says "one of each"
That's so cute!
15:28 I'd love a 15 minute video just talking about the Big Bass Wheel, it's my all time favorite arcade machine and I've had some insane luck with it
My 10 year old brother has had absolutely nuts luck on it too! He once got the jackpot twice in a row iirc, either that or only with one spin in between the two jackpots. I always have shit luck when I play tho lol
@@absolutetrash2271 I walked past one once and it just randomly decided to spit out 2000 tickets
@@Karmy. Wtffff you got some insane luck there
@@absolutetrash2271 ikr
Y4123 My cousin (who was 5 at the time) literally won the jackpot twice in the same day. I don’t think I ever got above 45 tickets, lol.
I love arcades. I wish I had one near me. The atmosphere is so chill and relaxed. The sound of the games and the neon lights, it's just so delightful.
You think this is a real arcade? Lol
@@AzrialAlaria how is it not? please explain.
I love these arcade videos!!! They are oddly soothing? This arcade is now my happy place lol.
I have a soft spot for coin pushers, as I played them at the state fair growing up!
My best friend and I spent a lot on money on the sponge bob one lol!! We wanted all of the cards! Btw we are both 24 rofl!
Hey, you can have fun at any age! ❤ That just means u guys had better skills lol
Amber Sweet lol your right! And I don’t mean to brag but we did get all of them 😉
@@joy411fulwhat did it cost you?
"I go to the arcade for some much needed rest. I also work while I'm there."
Never sleep
Liked the vid solely for that "E" moment. I bursted in laughter at that.

9:29 for E
5:44 this transition was so seamless i almost fell out of my chair
hey! it's nickleback!
:Dillon Wingull So it’s rigged
What do you mean refuse giving the item, that just wouldn't happen without a fight

i saw psi in that comment so now i have to reply
literally refusing sounds like fraud / false advertising to me...
@@UBvtuber it sounds illegal!
This is my favorite show on PBS
The songs you picked for each coin pusher were prefect. You put so much detail and work in your videos and I love it.

~Ian Moose, 2019
Ian you are a gem, and I love you very much. You are probably the most diverse youtuber and you're great at all of it.
Sometimes I just watch these for the easy listening piano sections. I adore that kind of music.
I love these videos. They're super cozy. Pretty much everything you make is good in some way, shape, or form!
I feel like a big part of that is his music choice
I would love to see a review on the rail shooters! The games where you get a prop gun and aim at the screen. Time Crisis, Terminator, Laura Croft etc.
They’re super tough but it feels great holding that toy gun and blasting enemies away. It would be awesome to hear your take on them.
This video was pretty great! I’m a huge Dave and Busters fan so it’s sweet to see one of my favorite UA-camrs play the same games as me.
I've been binge-watching a lot of your videos lately, and you are becoming my favorite youtuber. I love your reviews, and your humor is endearing and so funny! Thanks for sharing your experiences and thoughts!
Please do a video on the arcade prizes or one that you're saving up for.
Word. Also, let me know if you find any good skeeball somewhere. I'll hop a fuckin' plane for a solid skeeball lane, with wooden balls instead of the scuffed-up pitted plastic ones.
‘Wanna see me pop the lock?’
‘Wanna see me do it again?’
these are my favorite videos because theyre just so chill and relaxing and calming, i think this is what asmr is like
So did Jesus and Keanu Reeves combine just to form this guy
Mr. Moose, I feel like someday you might wanna open your own oldstyle classic arcade
Thank you for this, something about arcades are just super relaxing, been too poor to go to one, and this video made my day. I hope you make more!
Totally not obvious fact:
Arcades = Legalized casinos
They should be next after congress regulates the video game industry into oblivion
@@lwzeis eat shit EA, your lootboxes will die even if the AAA industry has to die with them.
Only 100 percent more fair and fun.

I wasn't expecting this to become a series!! Awesome! I can't wait to see more, keep it up~
I went to an arcade recently that has the 6 player Wizard of Oz machine with some family and friends. There were five of us and we actually spent a lot of our time on this machine. It's super addictive and fun!
Super interesting video, and the music was great. I'd love to see you review more arcade stuffs
The Gary is not the rarest, there is a very rare Flying Dutchman.
Back in my day, you got to keep the coins a coin pusher pushed off the edge, and they weren't tokens, they were quarters, but 1990s quarters, which are worth about $5 adjusted for inflation.
I need more smooth jazz and simple games in my life. I hope we get more videos like this. They seem like fun to make.
The key master style games have a payout system and will slightly jump the plunger if your in the right position, if it's not due to pay out
I really love the ambient smooth jazz you put in the background. That along with the neon lights and dark everything else makes for a really cool aesthetic.
I've really been loving your videos here lately Ian! Keep it up!
The sponge bob coin-pusher is one of my favorite machines at main event.
Came across your videos from the other time you went to this arcade. I love your editing style. That, and the music choice, give the video a professional quality. Haven't seen the rest of your content but I'm sure it will be good. Just wanted to show my appreciation. Thanks!
Please for the love of GOD nobody tell him about the konami marble droppers
you just did
Oh no. Not The Konami.
I remember playing one of those at a convention many a year ago.
That was a hell of a day.
Pachinko was on a G1 Power Rangers episode. Gambling!
Lucky Leo's in NJ has unique "Emerald City" and "Ruby Slipper" cards that are flat jackpots.
I have gotten the full set ONCE
The machine is also sans "Junk" cards
Awesome! I really wish we had a place like this where I live, such a great way to relax and have fun. You should do more of these!
These videos are my life blood now. I just really wanna know how much you spend in a session and what you redeem with the points
