Excellent i made it on my 380SL and it was very dark with same kind of dirty filter. Amazing that it is forgotten considering as it it is cheap and easy DIY. I used transmission fluid (which was advised by MB for r107).
@@sophiathe380sl you’ll see it when you search, it’s basically a cone that slips over the coil. Your wires may not be oriented properly from what I saw on video, not sure. If not simply unbolt and reorient them so the cone slips over.
@@sophiathe380sl remove the 5mm torque converter drain plug (turn the torque converter with a screw driver to align) drop the pan, remove the filter and old gaskets and put it back together and torque the plug to 124 inch lb (have to guess as it is nearly impossible to put on a torque wrench and refill

Thank you for uploading. Looks like your Brake fluid is due as well.
Haha. It totally is. Thanks for reminding me.
Another excellent video. Get a plastic cover for your ignition coil, it’s missing and dangerous without it. They are still available and inexpensive.
Thank you. I don’t even know what that is but I’ll look into it. I appreciate it.

Good job, now you know what you have got
Thanks for encouraging me to do it. Trans is next but I'm a little nervous.

You can loosen the return pipe and turn it up and tighten it down to prevent the reservoir from draining
Ya, should have done that. Thanks 🙏
