    Perfect Joe, good to have this type of video for people's mindset as they go forward also. Everyone can blank it shows and you have to analyse what you did if you do, great that you highlighted the positives from your session and how you will adjust to the next. Top draw young man thank you. It also shows how mad we all are fishing those conditions, though I have to say at 71 years old I give those days a miss now!

    Definitely the right call to post this. Really enjoying the whole thing. That looked like a properly horrible day’s fishing! I probably wouldn’t even have showed up in the first place 😂

    Not to encourage you to post more videos when you're not catching anything at all, it's somehow a 'good' thing to see that it even happens to you as well. Love it ! Be real !

    As a pleasure angler used to fishing commercials i have ventured into doing much larger natural lakes, its a tuff learning curve, not blanked so far and have had a few cracking days but on the other hand ive had 2 full days fishing with only a single skimmer on both occasions. Great to see that top anglers also have tough days. Keep it real joe ,

    Hi Joe, again, welcome to the real world.
    Rezza fishing is tough even in summer let alone a freezing November day.
    This is how most of us oldies learnt to fish.
    On a freezing day I would have been at 30 to 40 mtrs out.
    Looked like you had a roach and then a pike strike.
    Go for visual baits instead of smelly ones as it attracts the pike.
    Good on you for showing blank.
    We all had many in the day.
    Prefer canals now, not so much wind chill off the water.
    Tight lines.

    Another cracking video, Joe although you didn't land any. It sounds like it was a Pike that bit you off, mate. I don't understand why so many don't subscribe to your free channel. All the best and keep chucking long. 😂

    Wow Joe, you are definitely braver than me, that is a cold days match fishing. Think your right that was a pike, but as you say it’s a learning curve. Great video again though. Good luck next time.

    Fair play for sticking it out, Joe. As some would say. that's why they call it fishing... not 'catching'. Maybe you should have tried corn perhaps? (Sorry Joe, I couldn't resist)

A good hot flask is a must !!!... warms your hands up ...plus a pocket charcoal burner 😊😊😊..... also blanked a few matches too.😊

    Hi Joe it’s nice to see the top fishermen have off day’s, like you were saying you should post the blank matches as it’s all part of the match scene. As you were looking at the other fishermen’s tactics you learn something, maybe next time bread is the next bait to try? Please keep us posting, and again the content is just right. Thank you, tight lines next time.

    Joe, if worried about the bread staying on, try a punch on of bread plus a punch of crust.
    It stays longer on the hook.

    Yes Joe show Blanks That's fishing, as some people would say it's fishing not catching, the video is very good with nice B rolls, i get almost as many views on a blank, i think people like us as creators of fishing video's, it show's how to fish the venue or what's in the venue, i think you tried to show us were you could of done a bit more to catch something, That's are sport we all love, so yes show blank's, PS my Sunday match was a disaster, i was keeping up with the eventual winner in the next peg, i got off my box to pee and a big gust of wind blew all my seat and side tray in the lake, so i had a short match, , Thank you Joe,

    Re fishing bread in winter, i played around with this last year and ended up using a thin slice of white zig foam between 2 punched 6mm discs on a speedstop or a slice of white pop up boilie under a punched disc.

    Try banding the bread Joe. I was the same as you with no confidence in the bread staying on. ‘Til I watched another angler who was doing well on it. Couldn’t believe he was just banding 2 10mm discs like u would a pellet.
    U need a large band and definitely a banding tool to stretch the band over the bread. Stays on 100% of the time 👍🥳

    • @MatchFishingFilms
      @MatchFishingFilms  11 годин тому +1

      Funny enough I band the bread for chub 👍🏻

    • @kingfisher7687
      @kingfisher7687 10 годин тому

      Try it. The bread swells round the band and covers it up. It doesn’t cut through the bread like the line does if you use a push stop.
      Some of the lads even dob with it like that, on a band.
      It’s the future 👊🥳

    Would 'big carp' maggot and worm tactics like Tom Maker and other 'Carpy' bivvy dwellers use work? Something like a popped up maggot or worm rig with a cage or window feeder to put micros mixed with chopped and maggots/casters.
