The Zeniths are actually quite fitting for the overall theme of Horizon. We are people of the new world threatened by the powerful remnants of the old world, just as it was with Hades.
@@-sanju- I don't think, honestly, that Tilda's death, but who knows. Well, got some theory that some Zeniths could rebelled at Sirius and escaped to Earth after they lost. But between you and me? I don't give a mind that something like that could have happened.
I was quite certain that the Zeniths are aliens or machine-made humans until the stranger began humming “Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star” while beating Aloy up. My adrenaline at that moment was real.
Aliens that look human? How would that even make sense? I figured right away they were a break away civilization from earth. I kind of forgot about the far zenith project and how it failed it's been so long since I played horizon zero dawn. But I really liked that they faked the ships destruction, sounds exactly like something they would do.
Actually it was a major theory the signal was coming from the Odyssey.. my theory it was coming from Vast Silver lol. I swear if Vast Silver doesn't show up in the DLC or the next game, heads will roll.
You know, I got a theory that Faro Plague was not made by an accident but that this "glitch" was nothing more that an illusion. That this error was created by AI developed by Hartz-Timor Energy Combine, which gone rogue (maybe VAST SILVER, but it can't be logic) because of something and determined that humanity, along of all biosphere, seems to be a threat to machines. So it started Plague and this Nemesis is nothing more than a more advanced, created from its code version and that we will fight against both old Faro Plague and this new one from Sirius star system. And I don't think those nearly 12 Zeniths were the only ones which came to Earth. I want to know if some "rebel Zeniths" came to Earth maybe 200 or even max 500 years before events in Horizon. This could be interesting.
What I don't understand is why the writers picked the Sirius star system, it's extremely young at like 300,000,000 years old there wouldn't be any habitable planet there yet, most them would still be like earth in the Hadean Eon I'd imagine and incredible hot still from formation. No way could the Zeniths live there. Plus the system is a binary star and very luminous, definitely not good for Humans at all.
I saved the hunter's bow as the last weapon to give Erik the finishing blow. Full circle moment, the "primitive crap" delivering the final strike in the battle
This was an amazing plot twist. I wasn’t expecting another Elisabet clone AND the ORIGINAL Zeniths to walk through the door. I was thinking maybe their descendants, but boy was I glad to be wrong.
I was mind-blown by this reveal too, but I was disappointed by how flat and one-dimensional the far zeniths were in the game. After living for thousands of year you would think they've grown to be wiser and more complex life form, but everyone other than Tilda seems to be so childish.
Remember they are the same people that contributed to ruining the Earth so I doubt they would have changed much. Plus they were spoiled by their advanced technology so then being childish d bags seems about right.
They were rich, spoiled assholes who left humanity to die and spent the last millennia indulging their fantasies without anything to show for it. The only reason they even came back was because their own hubris bit them in the ass in the form of nemesis. Of course, they're acting like petulant children they've been on a thousand-year pleasure cruise and are now actually having to do something for themselves in order to survive.
I don't think the Zenith's are a thousand years old, they're most probably 2 or 3 centuries years old. Combined with Time Dilation and cryogenic, they're only appear they've been gone for a millinium.
They would only experience time dilation if they traveled near the speed of light and I don't think their ship was capable of that. I forgot how long Gaia estimated their journey took but I don't remember it being only 8.6 years which is the distance to Sirius.
@@LisaAnn777 It took them 29 years to reach earth, if I'm not mistaken. Such velocity would amount to a considerable fraction of c, enough for them to experience time dilation, I think.
Wonderful, just great. So, according to HFW not even a millennia of evolution allowed the Far Zenith/Ancient Humans to overcome our basic impulse for self-destruction (by attempting to further push the limits, now with digital immortality, which backfires and becomes their, and by extension _our_ doom) The future is very bright indeed.
They couldn't have evolved because it's the same zeniths, they achieved near immortality and none of them can procreate they all got sterilized if I remember right from the first one. So they are the same destructive people they were that destroyed earth the first time around.
This was absolutely jaw dropping for me, to see this within the first 1/3 of the game. I'm at least 2/3 done with the game now, so I'm not blind as to where I suspect this will go - I guess I'll find out. That said, yeah, thumbnail and title - no need to spoil parts of the game with text and pictures - just like a LEGO video with a thumbnail of Captain America holding a Hammer a few days after Endgame comes out. You know, I may be the only one but I want a Far Zenith game, set it in their time before Forbidden West or before the Extinction. Make it like how Nier and Drakengard relate to each other but both IPs have their own foot to stand on. I'd love to explore the "ancient world" so to speak.
@@BattlestarDamocles No. Sorry but this is not a helpful advice. I didn't look up Horizon Forbidden West. It was recommended to me. And with the thumbnail and title right on the screen, you can't avoid noticing it.

@@akopval As someone who is about to play Zero Dawn after finishing Forbidden West only recently, I can't say I didn't like the twist. Not knowing anything about the world, the game presented me with primitive technology and tribes combined with advanced machine animals.
