Build the road and forget about those who dislike development but are the first to criticize the government for not doing enough. You can't eat your cake and have it.
Mr Desmond.. thank you. These so-called bought journalists don't know this will save Nigeria's coast line. It will create 500 landmark type resorts. If done only for 50 miles!!! We need this!
@@Andarist042the sea is expanding and the glazier ice is melting and massive erosion is happening across the coast line plus the massive sand filling to reclaimed land so this road definitely will bring the much needed attention to the coastal areas and protected . I hope you get it now?
(4.23) See Landmark beach that the Minister of Works described as a shawty LOL..agreed that a road that intends to pass across the length and breadth of southern Nigeria is more important than a couple of beach resorts..the tragedy is that like so many Nigerian infrastructural projects we are all skeptical about if the project will ever be completed and the amounts voted for this project (in the trillions)..noting the lack of transparency in award..amounts involved and questionable background of the contractor..
New Central, here's some advice: when discussing such a technical issues coastal erosion, consult real experts-coastal engineers and hydrologists-who specialize in this field. While Desmond Majekodumi is an environmental expert, he is not an expert on coastal erosion - related but separate. It is a very technical issue requiring specific expertise. It's essential to provide the public with information based on sound technical knowledge, not just opinions. If you don't involve these experts, you risk misinforming the public. The lady on the panel is not an expert at all. Secondly, this is not a gender issue. Once you genderize it, you distract from the issue.
You know the type of work you do, you know you'll sit down, you're on national TV, you're now covering it, obviously you uncomfortable with it, why do you wear it, serious i don't understand.🤦🙄

I am extremely disappointed with the people who are criticizing this project. Their level of misinformation and ignorance is incredible.

Putting a 10 lane highway along a coast? Regressive thinking.
