I hate catfish too! So far today I caught two keeper Mangroves. One at the Jetty and one at the Bridge. Both on shrimp. I'm going to take the cast net out here shortly for the minor bight time. I'll probably try big pass.
I just watched a video where cut bait is actually better than shrimp. It allows the smaller mangrove to eat at the bait which then brings in bigger mangrove. The shrimp get pulled off by the smaller fish.
