Vantage versus Jaguar F-Type V8 SVR?! Well, greetings from New Zealand. I had a 6-cylinder F-Type, enjoyed a full day out in the hills in the Vantage and wow, what a difference!!! I then enjoyed a test drive in a Jaguar F-Type V8 SVR... A better car in most respects, except.... the Vantage is so SEXY!!! Oh, the driver, Matt, is so cool. Most UA-camrs focus on the description of the car, but barely drive it. Particularly Americans. So I am absolutely positively thrilled that I have at last found a channel where the car is driven and the focus is on FUN! Thank you!!!
Reynout de Court - I’m from Tauranga, seriously thinking about buying a later model AM V8 Vantage or Vanquish as I think they are just so gorgeous to look at and sound fantastic. As you will know having the fastest car is not important here as we have a max speed of 100 kmh or 60 mph you just can’t use the power. Regards
It's amazing how quiet the engine is, it's all exhaust noise isn't it. The dog leg manual will bring back some serious character to this car. It'll make it feel a bit old school again. It's interesting comparing ma 2014 with Big Dogs 2019 :P I just don't understand why they didn't get the screen to fold away. It would have kept that Aston feel and also hindered interior ageing. The car looks amazing in the flesh too, I don't think pictures or video do any of the new Aston's any justice.
You guys don’t realize that new vantage is competition fo Porsche 911 owners ! I own a Porsche 911 convertible and love it but I will definitely test drive the vantage coupe when I upgrade next year
With all the beautiful exterior colors to choose from and the wonderful leather combinations, it's a damn shame this one is bland white with an all black interior!
Great video, hard to hear the difference in sound to the AMG GTs (which are far more capable on track and feel just as special on the inside) on video. The manual really is the seller for the new Vantage imho
Make it lighter (350 pounds more magnesium parts please), ........... make it lower (18" 45 aspect tires), ........... make it wider (widen the wheel wells), ............ make it more aggressive looking ( front lights and grill need the Maserati Alfieri touch).
Most companies do parts and engine share. Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Alfa, Ford, Bentley, Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche.. So you'd never buy any of those? 🤔 I guess you don't like cars then. 🤷
How to improve this car??? Reduce the weight from 3375 pounds to 3000 pounds. Less weight can be achieved by using magnesium in body, engine and transmission. Make larger front lights so that the existing does not look like a Mazda Miata. The monitor display is too small. There is too much body roll on turns. The center column of the steering wheel is obscenely oversized which reduces proper views of the gauge cluster.
TheSUPERCARDRIVER I personally don’t like the noise, just design it to be fast efficient or effective. Is all I am saying, yes it’s a new trend since many car enthusiasts is like “THAT sound is amazing.” Just design and engineer of what it is. Anyways the new Aston Martin is amazing, drove my friend car. I want one! LOL I do like the older models with manual gear box like the 2006-2016.

The whole car feels "very AMG".....and that's the problem. Aston has become a coach builder like Zagato. AMG with pretty body...sigh.

We’re keen to try the manual but it’s a 7 speed dog leg which takes some getting used to. Video didn’t do the sound justice
