Vixx are my 3rd love, just after EXO and B.A.P, whom together with BtoB all debuted in 2012. I am a 2012 fan. Vixx are sadly underrated 😔, right now specially cause they lost members, including the main deep voice rapper. I think you will like Scentist and Fantasy. Fantasy use "Moonlight sonata" as a sample and is spectacular and the concept for that video is Greek mythology. 😊

The instrument that sounds and looks electronic but is not, is called Gayageum. The artist is an acquaintance called Kyungso and she is really talented. 😊
VIXX is an older group early 3rd gen/ late 2nd gen they debut around the same time as EXO and BAP. The traditional instrument used is the gayageum and the song itself was styled with traditional elements as is the choreo and their outfits. The song itself is about a dream-like love and the concept included birth stones and flowers. VIXX are known for their concepts going from video game characters to voodoo dolls to cyborgs. Each comeback they are exploring a new concept, and while they often have a lot of darker themes in their stories, they are always changing and bringing something new to their music.

This song is definitely on my traditional/synth/dance with fans playlist lol. The live version of this very good too. The Boyz did a gorgeous cover of Shangri-La for their Kingdom performance, and Verivery also did a nice cover. Vixx had a dance challenge for this song so there’s a really good mirrored dance practice (do not do whilst drinking wine). Luna by Oneus is another dance with fans song.
