    Alison, I just want to thank you so very much for I have learned alot watching your tutorials especially the usage of specialties paints, I love the finish effects which I know I will use the most and I love resin which I really have to work on. It seems like I just can't get my clay smooth (no air bubbles) My first pieces came out just like your swirl pendant, I even uploaded a picture on Instagram and tag your channel but anyways thanks again ⚘⚘⚘

    You could use a little blue tack to hold you piece while you put the resin on and put the piece under the UV lamp. The blue tack will hold the piece in place and avoid your hands and fingers getting damaged by the resin or UV.

    • @ThinkingOutsideTheBox
      @ThinkingOutsideTheBox  5 років тому

      Kevin Aldcroft very good idea for smaller polymer clay pieces. The larger ones tend to want to curl so I like to have the piece down on the sticky tape. I definitely could have used the tack for this one though 😊

    Thank you again for sharing everything you do with us. It sure would be nice if there were more people out there who make nice comments about the things that artists share from their hearts instead of saying mean and nasty things. I feel pity for them because they are usually sad, lonely people who don't like themselves. You are an amazing artist and the fact that you share so much with the world says volumes about the kind of person you are. My grand mother always told me that people who say negative things about you or the things you do are jealous and wish they could be you. The rest of the world loves you. And I love you and Pumpkin. So does Buster.

    Thank you so much for the great tutorials. Do you have an update on UV boxes? I am trying to find one that has a long timer, but the only one I've seen so far is the 36W MelodySusie UV Nail Lamp. Just wondering if there is one that uses LEDs or that has more wattage and also allows you to set a minutes timer.

Also I have heard you mention hard resin vs soft resin...How do I know when to use each one? Thanks ...I think your videos are great and you are an awesome person!

    If you had some type of hemostat or bodkin (tweezers with a sliding ring adjustable closure) it could hold the piece for applying resin to the edges and under the lamp. TY, Love your tutorials 👌

    One more question. Can UV resin be manipulated, like bubbles popped etc. As long as it hasn't been hit with the black light ? I noticed that as soon as I put my black lite flashlight like yours,the resin pulls away from the sides. What's the lighter for,bubbles?

    I hope you can help me because I wanted to really do this and I bought the easy Dome UV resin by DJ crafts and I have a UV nail gel light dryer by jia di and it's a 36 w, the problem is I've seen you put yours in there for 5 minutes and you bring it out and I put mine in there for like a half hour and it's still a little tacky what am I doing wrong? Or is it my UV light is not powerful enough

    I saw something in the video at the end when you were showing the front and back. It was a storage bin of some sort for your wire cutter tools. Could you please show a video of that or tell me what that is I have so many wire pliers and cutters that I just have them all in a plastic box and have to struggle with getting at them when I need them. I have been trying to figure out what to do with them and then I saw this.

    U bake on the title is that right?
    How do u take the clay off the title after it's baked?
    New to clay n thought u had to take the piece off in order to bake granted i use piece of glass to roll my clay out.
