Oh goodness me, how gorgeous is that piece and the resin finish? That glitter on the back is divine!!The whole piece is scrumptious!! Saw the previous video too and am in love with these pieces and this technique. You never cease to amaze, Alison!! Thank you!! 🤗😊🤗
Alison, I just want to thank you so very much for I have learned alot watching your tutorials especially the usage of specialties paints, I love the finish effects which I know I will use the most and I love resin which I really have to work on. It seems like I just can't get my clay smooth (no air bubbles) My first pieces came out just like your swirl pendant, I even uploaded a picture on Instagram and tag your channel but anyways thanks again ⚘⚘⚘
Very helpful video! I am just starting to work with polymer clay to make jewelry and this really helps. I was struggling with what lamp and uv resin to get and this helped so much especially about the uv lamp! Thank you
You could use a little blue tack to hold you piece while you put the resin on and put the piece under the UV lamp. The blue tack will hold the piece in place and avoid your hands and fingers getting damaged by the resin or UV.
Kevin Aldcroft very good idea for smaller polymer clay pieces. The larger ones tend to want to curl so I like to have the piece down on the sticky tape. I definitely could have used the tack for this one though 😊
“I’m being a really bad influence.” 🤔 Gary said if I’m not shopping, you’re not a bad influence, so it’s all good! I’ll come grab the links when he’s napping. 😂💜💜Thanks for another great tutorial!
Thank you again for sharing everything you do with us. It sure would be nice if there were more people out there who make nice comments about the things that artists share from their hearts instead of saying mean and nasty things. I feel pity for them because they are usually sad, lonely people who don't like themselves. You are an amazing artist and the fact that you share so much with the world says volumes about the kind of person you are. My grand mother always told me that people who say negative things about you or the things you do are jealous and wish they could be you. The rest of the world loves you. And I love you and Pumpkin. So does Buster.
Bonnie Kreger Thank you Bonnie 💜 You are one of the sweetest, most giving and most caring person I know. I love you and Buster too. Pumpkin loves you both too! 🤗🤗💜💜🐾🐾
Absolutely love your videos! Thank you so much for sharing your skills. I’m just starting out with polymer clay and I think I’m hooked! Could you please advise what wattage you recommend for the UV lamp? I can hardly wait to buy one so that I can play with UV resin on my pieces. Thank you from Australia. 💕
So beautiful, just wanted to let you know I got my Resin & UV lamp. Haven’t tried it yet, because I had my second cataract surgery today. So maybe by Sunday I can get up and Resin.
Thinking Outside The Box my son was here today so I showed him how it worked. I also went and bought 4 small tiles so I can put them under the UV lamp. Thanks so much for your help. ❤️
Thank you so much for the great tutorials. Do you have an update on UV boxes? I am trying to find one that has a long timer, but the only one I've seen so far is the 36W MelodySusie UV Nail Lamp. Just wondering if there is one that uses LEDs or that has more wattage and also allows you to set a minutes timer.
I’m so glade you did this video, I watched the tear drop earrings, they are gorgeous. I’m gonna try to get all my supplies, then make some pretty earrings. I just love them. Gotta make room in my craft room. How long Have you been doing this? I love the colors you use. Just looks amazing. Do you sell your work? I may be Better just buying from you, my hands are pretty shaky now days, but I love painting and making things. You’re work is just beautiful, thanks for sharing.👍👍💕💕😃😃
Jennifer Reid Thompson Thank you so much Jennifer 💜💜 There is only one vid for those hearts. This is the tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/yPiZVKZstFw/v-deo.html
You're fabulous! I was just wondering if you could add paint to that glitter mix, like black? I have some pieces from another project that I want to color in the backs better.thanks again!!! I truly appreciate you and your great tutorials😍
I'm just wondering Alison...I bought the Tiny Pandora and EZ Dome resin based on an older video by you...Why have you switched? Do I need to know something new? Also I have heard you mention hard resin vs soft resin...How do I know when to use each one? Thanks ...I think your videos are great and you are an awesome person!
Thanks for this great tutorial. I love resin but, unfortunately, i have a severe allergic reaction that’s taken forever to heal. Have u never had problems with resin? Sadly, I’ve had to find other ways to get an added finish.
If you had some type of hemostat or bodkin (tweezers with a sliding ring adjustable closure) it could hold the piece for applying resin to the edges and under the lamp. TY, Love your tutorials 👌
If I remember right we used to use fun tack to hold our hearing aid custom ear shells when repairing with the UV cured plastics under light. no guarantees but you could try it
How do you clean up any resin blobs that form on the edge? I noticed one on this piece -- did I miss the clean-up part? Thank you for the tutorial -- very nicely done!
Thanks for the tutorial! Love your videos. I was wondering how you actually made the piece as I'm relatively new to PC and was wanting that kind of effect in different colors. Do you perhaps have a tutorial showing how you made it?
One more question. Can UV resin be manipulated, like bubbles popped etc. As long as it hasn't been hit with the black light ? I noticed that as soon as I put my black lite flashlight like yours, the resin pulls away from the sides. What's the lighter for, bubbles?
I hope you can help me because I wanted to really do this and I bought the easy Dome UV resin by DJ crafts and I have a UV nail gel light dryer by jia di and it's a 36 w, the problem is I've seen you put yours in there for 5 minutes and you bring it out and I put mine in there for like a half hour and it's still a little tacky what am I doing wrong? Or is it my UV light is not powerful enough
I saw something in the video at the end when you were showing the front and back. It was a storage bin of some sort for your wire cutter tools. Could you please show a video of that or tell me what that is I have so many wire pliers and cutters that I just have them all in a plastic box and have to struggle with getting at them when I need them. I have been trying to figure out what to do with them and then I saw this.
JK Digital Creations oh they are wonderful. I purchased two of them! All my jewelry pliers fit perfectly plus it has a nice size drawer for storage. Here is the link: etsy.me/2Myf09O

This came out PRETTY‼️💜Love ALL your Creative Tutorial’s‼️👌🏼🥰
abigail gonzalez Thank you Abigail, you’re the sweetest! 💜 no matter the thickness of a piece, I bake my clay at 275 degrees for 60 minutes. I mostly use Sculpey Premo. 😊
I love your video's, I love your calm way of speaking, no rush and I love all of your items. From Amsterdam I say a big thank you.
Thank you so much!! 🥰💜
Thank you for showing how you resin the edges. I have never been sure how to add a gloss effect to the edges.
You are a wonderful teacher and very patient. Thank you once again. 👌🏼❤️

@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox Thank you so much. Perfect
Great video!!!!!!! I was only curing my piece for two minutes and it was always tacky, do you think it was because I didn’t cure for five minutes ?
Georgina Pulido thank you 😊 I always cure 5 minutes or more. You can’t over cure so best to cure longer.
Thank you so much for showing how you do the sides. Where would we be without silicone when working with UV resin?
EllenJB Right? It’s awesome stuff 💜
Do you find your pieces bow/distort slightly when using UV resin?
Hello, Can this resin be used over wood jewelry painted with the interference paint?
Yes 😊
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox Yay! I am heading to the hobby store!
One more question. Can UV resin be manipulated, like bubbles popped etc. As long as it hasn't been hit with the black light ? I noticed that as soon as I put my black lite flashlight like yours, the resin pulls away from the sides. What's the lighter for, bubbles?
I've been using Gel polishes for a while now so I can say with some experience that an LED lamp is far better and quicker to use. Hope this helps.
Cole Talbot maybe when my six UV lamps I’ve invested in poop out on me I will get a few LED 😊
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox They take half the time to cure!

Hi Alison i fo have a question iv noticed you can buy 80w uv lamps is the 36w the best to use
🧡
I'm curious what do you do with it once you are finished? Can you drill a hole in it to make a necklace?
Cathy Rezba You sure can. It makes a beautiful pendant
would like to see how you setup your new shop

Can you use he uv light to cure resin on tiles?
Josephine Miller Yes 😊
Quick questions

How do u take the clay off the title after it's baked?
New to clay n thought u had to take the piece off in order to bake granted i use piece of glass to roll my clay out.
Thank you very much in advance
Kristie Sutton the tile I use is ceramic and you can bake the clay on it. To remove after bake, I just run my blade under it and it comes right off 😊
That is stupendous!!!!! Thank you. Where did you purchase the title
Kristie Sutton you can find them at Lowe’s, Home Depot or Menards. They are bathroom tiles. 😊
No links showing but good to know about the one part resin
Loyce Hake Oooops! Thanks for this comment. They are there now 💜💜
I went to the link to get the cosmic glitter and they only have 3 colors like red etc
Anyone have another source
how do you get the swirl ????????
Another thing I've seen is using a fidget spinner as a lazy susan to turn your piece for doming! Hope this helps. Love your ideas though.
Cole Talbot Ahhhh! That’s a cool idea!!

La base di pasta polimerica sempre nera?
Is the polymer paste base always black?
lighter color?
Maria Di Miceli the color looks best when used on a black or dark base.
