From Australia 🇦🇺. To Mischa and the incredible BC Helicopters Team, Thank You! The past months of training have been the realization of a dream, a blessing and an absolute privilege! I doubted we were going to get up for this flight as the fog rolled into Abbotsford , but it turned out to be a perfect day in the mountains! We have loved Canada 🇨🇦 , lived deliberately here and immersed ourselves in these adventures! We’ll be back, With thanks Andy and family!
I waited 20 years to have the opportunity to share this with my son and I am so grateful for the pictures I have of us atop a BC mountain. Amazingly beautiful world! 😊👍👍👍
Outstanding video Mischa thanks for the share, brings back "alot" of fond mountain flying memories for myself. Were very blessed to have had that opportunity to see and experience what many others haven't. Thank You. :) NC
Amazing video. Thank you so much. We are so lucky to have you share this incredible view and that you are able to show us what is really going on in those flooded areas. Stay safe and all the best.
Love your videos including when you 're playing hockey in the nature with your buddy, travelled with your wife, and all adventure on the air. It's even more beautiful from up there!
My home and native land. I don't feel home without these mountains and trees and lakes. Thank you for the up close experience. I hope one day I may ride shotgun with you!
If I were going to learn to fly a helicopter--too late for that now, I guess--I'd want this guy as my instructor: great clear and encouraging communication with his student, supportive and also precise ("21 inches down")...I"m going to send this video to friends overseas to show them the mountains (not that I get up there). Would love to fly with this pilot for photography sometime.
Absolutely beautiful! I love being up in a helicopter. My son took me up 2x when he was practicing. We flew up through Allouette River then cut East & headed to Harrison Lake. Dropped down on the Lillooet River. Then flew back to Abby. Was amazing, we did the 1st flight in May. The second at the end of June. Will never forget it! After seeing this, It makes me want to go again. If I win the lottery, that would be the first thing I would do, get a helicopter licence & buy my own chopper. Thanks! glad I found your stream.
Wow!!! Absolutely one of the best videos I have ever watched!! Stunningly beautiful scenery with informative and interesting instruction. Thoroughly enjoyed every second. A thumbs up and a new subscriber. Thank you!!☺
Hello, Mischa, Amy and family, as well all of the crew at BC Helicopters! Wow, the flooding in BC was devastating! Our prayers are continually there for the residents, the emergency personnel and the aid, relief workers who have been effected by all of the flooding! I have watched a few videos of search & rescue, plus aid being flown into the Nicola Valley and they were heartrending! Has BC Helicopters participated in the aid and relief efforts? This man and his family, had a blessed first experience of flying in the snow covered mountains with you! As he said at the 2:28 minute mark, "He cannot believe the blessing of getting up here this morning!" His wife, also made a statement of incredible value to their trip, "You can't bottle this!" Their daughter summed it up for the trip, "I did not plan to get out on top of a mountain this morning when I got up." May his career in helicopter aviation be a blessed endeavor for him and his family! Maybe use some of your older equipment, it was that equipment that brought the beauty of the BC Mountains into my home through your adventures in teaching! This one made me nauseous with all of the cameras continual focusing. This was a very good video, otherwise, except for your cameras continual focusing issues.
Wow! Amazing. I look to the north when I am out and about Abbotsford and see those peaks in the distance, but have never seen it this up close a personal like. Absolutely gorgeous. While I know this video wouldn't be here if all had not gone well, I have to admit to moments of anxiety as I watched you go through the V of the mountain and then land. Thank you so much for sharing this. What a treat!
so awesome thank you so much for showing us this, i got to have multiple copter rides around nothern BC, and thousands all over canada's artic and yukon as well as Iceland and Greenland. most awesomest trip in a copter i rode along with Leo and his engineer from Inuvik to calgary. it was the most awesomest trip i ever got to go on, we took time on that trip to fly over my parents farm north of Stettler alberta, and had lunch with mom and dad. chuckles i can still see dad's eyes when he came out of the house to a hellicopter landed on his front lawn. that was epic since he had no idea what ever we were coming.
Thank you for taking us along on your flight into the beautiful mountains! Thumbs up for the South Africans! Ons is ook van Abbotsford - Sterkte vir wat vir julle voorle!
the little holes in the lake are from methane and other gasses from decomposing veggies. the gas pockets act like a magnifying glass and heat up the water tip layer just under the ice and melts the ice slowly.
Brilliant vlog you dare devils it looked a bit dodgy in places but awesome views. Take care and have a awesome festive season phil. 👍🇬🇧🇨🇦🤘keep well and safe phil.
Absolutely thrilling to be on board with you all here. What a spectacular day you’ve had for it. Where I live between the Rockies and the Purcells I watch the helicopters come and go and stand and watch with envy that someone, not me is piloting them. My son is a back country guide who helis in and out to lodges and now I know what it’s like. My two year old granddaughter and I watch them and now she wants a heli for a present. I’m encouraging her to think about flying them.
The only time I went in a helicopter was from Pitt meadows airport with Sky Air Helicopters. We landed in beside widgeon creek in it's chanel as well below snow line. This video was great.
Wow that's incredible scenery and it looks like he's a pretty good pilot. Thanks for the video cheers from Regina Saskatchewan. I've been flying the r44 on Microsoft flight simulator and really enjoying it.
I made many trips flying over northern BC in September and October, same type of view but no people down below, just moose, sheep and caribou. I have some flight stories as well.
Is Harrison Hot Springs still intact ? I am in Australia but spent many years in Alberta and BC back in the 1960's .Love the videos , brings back lots of memories .
@@grosvenorclub Unfortunately? I'd think just a traveler would be better than what I was thinking. Still Australia isn't really a desired destination these days and why would a person want to go there unless they were among the privileged.
@@gmw3083 Ha ha , anything but privileged . Left school at 16 and basically supported myself and family since then . Been fortunate to have lived and worked in the UK , Canada and Australia and travelled a bit . People are pretty much the same everywhere depending on their governments . Government of B.C, you should channel water from the mountain through culverts. Build bridges where the water parts the highway, walls to help prevent repeat landslides with steel, gravel mixed with the toughest cement you can find.
can live with out power for quit a while, its heat and potable water is the issue i would see. i was homeless in Connecticut for 9 years in the winter time. coldest night "camping outside" was -20*f Christmas morning 2015
Great stuff. You would be amazed at just how many that live in Van and the burbs and can actually see this stuff right there, never go there. This is home brother.

Andrew, good luck - have fun in OZ, good job getting AYQ back in over the clouds.

Nice to have the process explained
This is amazing.
Great distraction from our current, flooded reality! Thanks guys, these videos are good for the soul.
amazing videos! this one as well. Thx!
Not sure if it’s possible, but would be nice to see the rockslide north of hope on highway 1… can’t seem to find any footage of it online.
His last video has some footage of the highways near hope
@@tommyh3102 I was hoping for north of hope, his previous footage was more of the coquihalla and south of hope where it becomes highway 1.

91% isopropyl in a catfood can with a toilet paper squire in it crumpled up will heat up a small area in minutes.
jet fuel A kerosene will burn on anything wet wood will burn with 109 octant on it.
should have done a signal fire distance test to see how far away a signal fire can be seen

Very nice flying.
Someday go past Mt. Slesse. That's A nice area also
Awesome job. What’s great experience for the completion of his HCPL, sand with his wife a daughter to boot! Good guidance back over the top boss. 😁
in the middle of the mountain is a lake what a beauty
Awesome, I watch you fly by and over Bevan ave all the time ,, maybe one day you will teach me how to fly
Could you actually land the helicopter fully on the peak at 8:30 and get out, or are the conditions not stable enough?
Meanwhile Floods Created havoc in others parts of BC
South Africa has many mountains 5000' to 7000' feet. 2500 -3500 Meters.

if at all possible, an overfly of hatzic lake would be a blessing...
Those "bubbles" in frozen lakes are methane gas produced by lake bacteria after consuming organic material.
