cristal silva im happy i made your day :* week lol I think the only thing that will make you get new handles is the fact that the black might not come off. but you can't say that we didn't try. I personally don't use cleaners on my bags but you might reach out to some of the ladies in the purse Forum because they might have had good experiences with some of the cleaners. And I would probably try cleaners if I got a pre-owned bag which I may do in the future. Victoria I actually saw a video from little mommas house, and she had a video on using saddle soap on one of her preloved bag handles, it worked well for her so I’ll give it a try and then consider sanding depending on how it turns out after saddle soap cleaning. I think it’s just dirt that has accumulated throughout the years and has not been cleaned..., we will see! I’ll let u know my outcome ;)
Sandi Stroud yes that's understandable. I either thought well I'm either going to sand it and get it right or I'm going to replace the handles and start over. But luckily it worked for me perfectly. I wouldn't sand my bags on a regular basis as the leather is not very thick to begin with. And trust me it was scary uploading this video because I know everyone is going to think I'm crazy. But at the same time I love to show people the way I do things because it puts new ideas out there that might work for others thank you for watching😍😍😍😍😍
Can you do an update of the handles now that some time has passed? I've seen a lot of pictures of cracked and dry leather after using abrasives. Even Magic Eraser does this (and its less abrasive than sandpaper), so I'm wondering how your handles have held up over time. TFS.

So I’ve been watching your Patina Champ method videos &those of other UA-camrs and I decided to go with your method 😌😃so got my new LV neverfull mm and put her outside one hour (rotation once within the hour) Today was third day in sun this morning but I want to know can I just go ahead and do water wiping today instead of tmrw because I really wanted to use bag tmrw since we have somewhere to go. That way all I would have to do is wipe her down tonight overdry theu night and come tmrw which be Monday morning just soft dry cloth buff her bit for final part?? Please let me know if this is okay I would greatly appreciate the info . Thanks again for these great videos!! Hope mine look just as awesome as yours!!💕

And any time it starts getting a little bit dirty or every 3 or 4 months I would wipe it down again just Softly. At least that's what I do with mine. I'm glad you love my video. Victoria I had no idea to use sand paper. I really love how well you have taken care of your bag. It shows when you take care of your bad it will last. I just bought mine. I got the speedy damier azur. I want mine to last long and good like yours
Hi Victoria - When my Hubby surprised me with a pre-loved Speedy 25 I was touched, happy and concerned all at the same with how dirty/stained & dark the patina looked. I used Little Mamas method with saddle soap and it looked better but like you said, it looked like the oils had set into the vachetta. I’ve watched and re-watched this method and decided to try it. 😳 It’s drying now. Crossing fingers 🤞🏼Thanks for showing us this method.
Hi Victoria 🤗 I took 220 sandpaper and very, very gently swiped it on the handles of my speedy. I was so nervous (& still am :) ) but the darkness that hadn’t scrubbed off with cleaning it prior has come off. It did leave the handles pretty dry, so after I wiped it with a clear watered down towel I now rub the handles with clean hands in hopes of softening it up. My speedy is 20 years old with a pretty deep patina and has small cracks on the handles. It worked, and now she just needs daily tic. I’m going to stop “ conditioning “ her with the Apple Care products I had been using. I wished I had found your Chanel sooner, but I, glad I am here now 😊 Thanks for your tips.
Fran nLouisV yay I'm so glad that it worked for you. I wish you found me sooner too. I don't know how to spread the word faster than UA-cam. Wiping it with the damp towel will help soften it and it took mine a couple weeks of wearing it before it looked like I hadn't sanded it 😯I try to wash my hands each time I carry my bag so that at least it's clean oil coming off my my hands. Im glad i was able to help you 😍 keep me updated 😁

It works. My handles were black on my Sat Plac, now they are the perfect honey color.

How do you be careful with the corners of the bag ?
I just dont rub my bag against anything. also I never put it on the hard ground :)
