    Do you continue to use the ray holes saddle butter instead of the apple guard to maintain/waterproof your vachetta? Or do You use both?

  • @Purseonfleek
    @Purseonfleek 5 років тому

    Wow this saddle butter applies like blackrocks leather and rich even similar tub! But i can see what you mean it barely deepens the vachetta where as blackrocks does deepen the vachetta about 2 shades darker. Only problem will be can i buy this in aus🤔

      @@LVReLoved hahaha ill check if i can find a place on amazon that ships to Aus. Thats usually the biggest issue not many ship to aus! Am keen to test it out as im hoping to get a Vavin PM with at most medium patina so i dont want to be using blackrocks on that if i can avoid it

    very informative
    Can you please do a video on how to do the mixture of vinegar and water?

    • @LVReLoved
      @LVReLoved  4 роки тому

      Ariel Morales Thank you! It's simply a solution of 1:10 in a spray bottle. So 1/2 cup white vinegar to five cups water or 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to 10 tablespoons of water. Hope this helps!!

    Hi!! I love your video and how informative it is. I've watched almost every LV video on UA-cam and your method has the best results. I just got a new neverfull in monogram and I have been too afraid to use it. Will the saddle butter be good enough to initially protect it? I don't need to clean it yet since it's new but I'm also not sure if I need to condition first then go in with saddle butter or if the saddle butter is enough to condition and protect the vachetta. Please let me know what you'd advise. Thanks so much!

    • @LVReLoved
      @LVReLoved  5 років тому +1

      jeannie hoang Hi there! Thank you for watching! I’m so pleased that I can offer a tip or two. The saddle butter is a conditioner. For this speedy I sprayed with the apple guard on the new vacchetta. If I knew about the Saddle Butter when I first got this bag I would have done that instead. Of course you still need to take some care like I try to avoid applying lotion right before I grab my bag and I never put my bag on the floor. Definitely get both products and spray the interior to help prevent stains. And then you can decide which you rather use on your vachetta. A felt organizer insert will also help protect the interior of your Neverful. Please feel free to ask more questions. Happy to help.

    • @jeanniehoang6296
      @jeanniehoang6296 5 років тому

      Ahh! Thanks so much for the quick reply. Does the apple guard leave any smell long term if I sprayed the interior? I know this is redundant but the saddle butter has the water protectant properties as apple guard? I'm just making sure. I am so scared to ruin my bag. Is there anything you recommend to do to prevent cracking of the straps and top trim of the vachetta on the neverfull since it's sooo thin?

    • @LVReLoved
      @LVReLoved  5 років тому

      jeannie hoang yes Saddle Butter it will protect from water spots. No lasting odor with the apple guard. Yes the neverful straps are thin. I would say don’t overload your bag! But also keep in mind the straps can be replace if necessary on your neverful.

    Hiii I’m so glad I found you! You really know your stuff here 😍 I’m a two month old collector 😅 I have so far just new pieces but recently got a 1990 Keepall 45 😃 It’s a perfect medium/lighter pátina and I want to keep it that way as long as I can. You mentioned the vinegar are water lightens it a bit? I would love that! Does that work on vintage ones too to lighten? Ty!! 💞

    Will the saddle butter help with just dried out leather? I don’t have any cracking but the vachetta that’s on my canvas (not the handles) feels dried out- I have a speedy that’s from 2005 - thanks!

  • @VoluptuousLocks
    @VoluptuousLocks 4 роки тому

    I have the Apple guard spray, but I've been nervous about using it on my new Neverfull. Should I use the Apple guard, then use the leather conditioner? Just to be sure, Cadillac is only for the canvas right? Do I use the same process on Damien ebene? Sorry for so many questions!

    • @LVReLoved
      @LVReLoved  4 роки тому

      Do either or. The apple guard spray if you already have it will be absolutely fine. When you clean your bag use the conditioner if you like. Cadillac conditioner is a leather condition but yes I prefer to use on the canvas only.

    I just bought my first lv piece pochette metis im debating whether to protect it with Apple Garde or let it patina naturally I live in Scotland so it’s always raining I’m just scared that the chemicals are going to disturb the patina process what do u recommend
