I believe "High sensitivity" is when the device responds to Low force impact and vice-versa, but can be wrong 3. I assume the parking settings in this video are shown for Hardwired connection, right? Just to clarify as they can be different depending on power mode (hardwired vs cigarette lighter). Thanks again, super helpful!
Hello thank you for your comment, I am happy I was of help...the title for Mini is so someone using the older camera can also reference this video as some settings are applicable to other cameras...the search also depends on the UA-cam algorithm so as I am not yet that popular my videos do not show up right away, your subscription would be very appreciated. The low and high sensitivity are correct, If you set it to low the camera sensor will react to the smallest bumps with high setting it takes a harder hit to respond. Parking mode you are right, they are for constant power (hardwire required) some cars do supply constant power on cigarette lighter but most do not.. my other video show how to do the hardwirimg if you are interested. thanks it is useful. Is the dormancy mode only wake up by g-sensor? I read the manual it says it will wake up by motion too but when I walk in front my car while in dormancy mode, it did not trigger the camera.
I believe so, however i do not like how this feature works, i feel like it MIGHT record the even after your car is already damaged so no evidence of impact, also i noticed you have to get a pretty hard hit to get the cam to record and any minor bumps to your car will still be dormant.

I have some road trip vids I’d like to save, selecting the time frame then wait for multiple videos in ‘real time’ just doesn’t seem efficient. In previous DDPAI cameras with removable microSD cards, I used to just plug in the card and download videos en bulk. Not sure how to do it with the Mini 5.
My pleasure....honestly I have not tried copying videos to a computer directly from the camera but I would think you should be able to plug the camera to a computer just like an external hard drive to copy files.
@@fixflickss Found out the issue. The supplied USB cable from DDPAI provides "power" only, it doesn't transmit data, so when plugged in, the computer doesn't recognize it. You would need to make sure to use a USB cable that transmits both "power" and "data" for the transfer to work. I've contacted DDPAI through various channels, they were extremely slow to respond, finally (9 days later), one person says to try a data cable (they didn't explain that the included one couldn't transmit data, I had to read between the lines). By the time I got a data-capable USB cable, the travel footage was already overwritten. It sucks, but at least now I know. Hopefully, this info will help someone else.
Thank you for your video describing the various features step-by-step on the DDPAI mobile app. Can you also let us know how many hours/minutes the 64gb internal eMMC memory lasts when recording in 4k, 2k and 1080p before it starts erasing the first loop video? Thank you.
Thank you, sorry I have not tested the recording time limits but in 4K and motion detection parking mode i have a little of over a weeks worth of recorded footage.
it turns off if u leave it on dormancy mode. but it works on normal and time lapse. not sure why it turns off on dormancy. maybe without the IGN wire, it doesn't know if the car is on or off.
@tekstyle38 dormancy mode is supposed to turn off and only starts recording if the camera pick up an impact, i would not recommend as you might miss the actual impact event
So the dormant mode does not work well in my opinion so i always leave it running in the shrink video while parked, if the camera sensitivity is changed to high then the cam will snap pictures will little movement however i don’t like that as the cam snaps too many photos while driving and going over bumps….

Thank you, i am not sure never had to download that much footage. Also you can try connecting your camera to a computer and downloading the footage that way.
I believe if you have a 12v port with constant power the camera reacts the same as if it was a regular 12v using the plug, with a hardwire the cam sees two different power sources vs 1 and uses that to differentiate when it is parked vs driving. So I don’t think you can do it this way.
I noticed you set you impact sensitivity to low, while saying that this would mean it would record the smallest impact. This is incorrect, if you want to record the smallest of impacts, you need to set the G sensor setting to High Sensitivity, as this means it will be more sensitive to the slightest knock

@@tjxoom1 the camera knows when it's in parking mode because of the two connections, one on ACC and the other on constant, when ACC comes ON the camera knows to go into Normal recording and when it's off it knows to go into parking mode. True 8 hrs or so continous 4K but with time lapse in parking mode you get more, I usually have footage for the last 5 days.
Does the same app applies to z40 as well? Especially that show speed toggle on/off
I am not sure, i am having issues with the app after switching from android to iphone :(
Hi... Can you help me... I can't found my ddpai mini 5 on wifi searching....almost all my android phone
Thanks
Try resetting the camera by pressing the side button for 6 seconds. Cheers
@@fixflickss already push reset button 6 sec... My phone is wifi 5Ghz.... Btw... How i know wifi ddpai is on or off... I think wifi ddpai nat yet on....
@@rikoraven the camera says it out loud when you turn it ON/OFF I believe, try hitting the side button once that should turn wifi ON/OFF
@@fixflickss oke will try... Thanks... For you support...
@@rikoraven thank you for yours :)
I can't get a video clip other than gravity sensor video....how to cut a video from previous recording in the app??
Sorry I am not sure if I understand your question correctly, in order to save/download a portion of the footage you need to drag the timeline to where you want it to start and hit the download button.
@@fixflickss if I go to any previous video....then select the duration... Clicked the download...then the downloaded video in the album is the present video clip not the clip I wanted!
@@vishakhkv2512 that's strange, I would try resetting the camera and redownloading the app maybe that would help...I haven't had this issue.
The adas and voltage control options, don't show for me even though I have a ddpai mini 5 gps...
my "Ding-Ding Pai" has alert by purple light (instead of normally with orange light)
what does it mean? what's something wrong with cam?
It’s an error condition, I had it before, just restart the dash camera when it happens
hey bro, I'm trying to find a solution how to make a shrink video (parking mode) became normal speed video? i have no idea what kind video player can reduce that high speed video that has been recorded when entering the parking mode a.k.a shrink video
Hey sorry i have no clue either
ok no worries
The DDPAI app is no longer available on google play store, is there another way to download the app?
That's weird but anyways you can download the .apk file from here: m.apkpure.com/ddpai/com.cam.ddpai_overseas/download?from=details
@@fixflickss thanks this helped, after download I had to give rights to this app manually
@@rds6802 that's correct, there are many apps not available on play store which you can download but have to change permission settings on the phone. Best of luck
hi, i dont see the option of ADAS in my settings. is there anything i have to enable ?
No should be in the settings if you have the same model dash camera, other models might not have it
I am just wondering . Why my dashcam failed to record/monitor 24 hours parking though it is hardwired + 64 gb memory card inserted
The camera has a safety to prevent your car battery from dying, so when the voltage gets low enough the camera turns off to save your cars battery
how may I download the whole preview? eveytime I tried to download it's only 1minute clip??
Hey, the way it works for me is to 1. First drag the time line to the point where you want your download to start 2. Hit download 3. Wait for how long you want your clip to be (minimum 5 sec I believe) 4. Hit done/complete. Hope this helps.
Hey, I am unable to change my password. Hence I am unable to record or download. What do i do
Restore your camera to factory settings
@@fixflickss Thanks. Let me try that out and get back
How to change speed from miles to kilo, please
I believe you have to go into the app settings not the camera settings, so before you connect to the camera go into the settings on the app itself.
Sir I brought DDPAI 5K, but I m unable to pair with mobile. Pls suggest 5Ghz WiFi mobile is required? If so tel me low budget phones which is having WiFi 5Ghz. Waiting
Sorry to hear that, you can probably get a Budget Samsung Device like the Galaxy A21. Or maybe first make sure you are on the latest software update on your current phone.
@@fixflickss How to connect internet with wifi Ddpai mini 5 to mobile data?
@@mugiwarafishing588 I am not sure what you are asking, the camera does not connect to the internet.
I have the same problem...
@@bunajanos bro can is outstanding. Yes mobile u purchase redmi 9 prime and above. Almost all mobiles above 10.k will access DDPAI.go for redmi prime. I m using n thank DDPAI for being my part of life
can you tell me how you format the sd card for z40
It’s in the settings, go to storage and then hit format
If its an external card you right click when inserted to a pc and click format
The one problem with this camera even if you have the global is you need to use the app to take a photograph.
Using a mobile phone whilst driving in Britain is totally illegal!
Yes it would be nice to have a shutter button mounted inside the car...the camera does automatically take pictures in cases of G sensor movement
True but not if you just want to snap something you see.
Is it possible to reduce Speaker volume to 0?
Can I just totally mute it?
Answering to my own question. Yes it`s possible!
DDPAI mini5 not showing in wi-fi list sumsung a20, why?
Make sure the camera wifi is on using the side button.
Is on and the wi-fi is on too, the light is blue
Do you know how to delete videos daily in the dashcam?
The camera automatically rewrites old video footage when memory is full
It’s looping the storage
It’s looping the storage
how do you change the date and time? My camera is 1 day late.
This should be in the app settings, so before you hit the button to open the camera the app has a menu button.
Hi, need some help with DDPai. Recently got into an accident but my phone was not connected to the DDPai wifi at the time of the accident. As it doesn’t connect up with my iPhone 12 i tried connecting it with a Samsung and it was finally connected. However, I am not able to view my history video footage. May I know is there any way I can download my previous video? I had removed the SD card right after the accident as I didn’t want my video to be overwritten. Can someone help please. Thanks all! 🙏🏻
Hello sorry to hear about that, I am not sure what you mean, DDPAI mini 5 does not have an external SD card, it is all internal. When connected to the camera on the DDPai mini 5 you should see a timeline of your recorded footage, slide to where you want the download to start and hit download button. Not sure if this is the same on other DDPAI cameras as I never owned a different one. Best of luck
@@fixflickssNo worries, thank you for your help.
So did u find the video in the SD card after you removed it?
In my camera i am able to see all 10 second videos... but the issue here is, its not continuous. After 10 seconds recording there is gap of 5-7 seconds to start a new video clip... e.g: 10.56.30 to 10.56.40 is one clip... so my expectation is the next clip should stat with 10.56.40 to 10.56.50, but in reality it is staring from 10.56.47 to 1056.57... why there is a gap... how to avoid such gaps... once incident occurred at 10.56.43 and it is totally missing from the recording.... then what is the use of this camera...
The app is buggy but if you connect camera to computer you can download footage more accurately
Will it still work even if I don’t have my phone with me? Thanks
I'm not sure I understand your questions...what exactly do you want to know will work without your phone?
@@fixflickss will the unit work or function properly without the paired phone while driving? Thank you.
@@palansigan ohh...yes it will as soon as it's powered it starts recording before you even pair it for the first time, phone only necessary for playback.

I am facing problem when i tap on connection it keeps on sending to wifi

I tried to reset it for yhe first time it gets connected but after that it keeps repeating the error
Sorry for the long reply, please try redownloading the app and or resetting the camera to factory settings.
You can also try it on someone else's phone to see if the issue is with your device
Mine keep saying sensor not normal what is wrong with it its new.
I would contact customer support for that, have not had that issue
Why is my camera cannot connect to the app? It says no internet connection
When the camera is ON it generates a wifi signal so you can connect so first connect your phone to the cameras wifi signal then go back into the app
Has anyone managed to permanently wire this camera and check if it drains your battery dead? I installed this according to the instructions, and configured the camera to operate in dormancy mode when the engine is off. This is supposed to monitor your battery and stop the camera from functioning if the battery drops below 12.4V. Unfortunately, it measures the battery voltage, but doesn't automatically switch off. DDPAI said it doesn't actually work and I should only use this in ACC mode where the camera is only powered when the ignition is on
I have it Hardwired and it does automatinstructions. When voltage drops below the set threshold, check out my other video for hardwiring insstructions.
Does anyone know how to reset wifi password? After change to new hp i couldn't log in
It is the third to last option in your camera settings.

And also, The camera always recording on fast mode, How to make it record on normal speed mode?
Try resetting your camera by hitting the reset button with a paperclip behind the camera...as for the recording, once you connect to the app and open the camera settings you should see the the settings to choose for normal recording

Hello, I just upgraded from a DDPAI Mini3 to the Mini5. I was wondering whether you could help me with a problem I'm having. I've set the speed in mph but for some reason it's showing km/hr in the videos that I download to my phone. I've tried resetting the camera, uninstalling and reinstalling the app but the speed is still in kilometers. Here's a sample video. ua-cam.com/video/l3RCjKv6zd8/v-deo.html Thanks
Not sure if this will help but there are two setting options in the app, one for the app itself and one for the camera settings, make sure both are in mph.
@@fixflickss Thanks, I'll check that out.
