This is the first smartphone reviewer I know of who truly understands how much different of an experience would be with a powerful autofocusing system that can fit in your pocket. You can do shots that are simply impossible to recreate with other smartphones currently in the market especially candids and action shots.
@@mr559 and Kai. Yeah those reviewers leave nothing behind as well. They also review the product for what they can bring something new on the table and evaluate the pros and cons instead of treating all the products in a cookie cutter fashion.

This seems like a really great phone. I've been so underwhelmed for years with smartphone offerings, but this makes me feel excited about a new phone like I used to before smartphones... when new phones truly were new and offered things previously unavailable. I'm not in the market at the moment, but I would love to own this phone. I'm definitely going to check out Xperia the next time I need to buy a new phone!
Great review, I would say your review covers most of the very important aspects of the phone. You didn't mention a couple of things, such as the HS Power Control during gaming and the fact that the internal storage is only 256GB (they don't nickel and dime you for stupid memory upgrades). Also, the price is technically about $200 cheaper since if you pre-order right now, you get free true wireless ear-buds with it (worth about $230ish). I'm personally going to sell them when I get them through my pre-order because I don't care for ear buds (even though Sony's are indeed the best in the business). One thing I'd like to mention is, the fast charging speed and wattage was carefully selected by Sony engineers to reduce battery degradation. Yes, it's easy to upgrade the circuit to allow the entire device to re-charge in 1 hour or less, but you end up hurting the battery life and performance in the long run. Sony very much wants you to use this phone for a long time, and they have implemented features to help you preserve the battery's life as much as possible (unlike Samsung and Apple who want you to ruin your battery as soon as 6 months into the purchase just so you'd buy the next flagship when released).
Apple's charging has been even slower than Sony for the most part, and they also implemented a battery care type thing, so I don't know where you got that from.
@@RennieAsh never trust them, they said it but in reality apple is a mid-range phone with flagship processor and great software. Apple hardware is not premium, they don't last long. I have been fixing phones for 15 years and many iPhone users complain about battery, mic, screens losing quality over time.
@@RennieAsh in my experience, the battery is the first thing that "goes out" on most iPhones of all generations. Every single person I know who owns an iPhone complains about the battery life. Apple doesn't do much to maintain that battery properly (like Sony). Samsung is even worse, because they implement the super fast charge feature, which basically nukes your battery cells very quickly. The last Samsung phone I ever owned was the Note 3, and it had a user replaceable battery, I actually changed it 3 times during my ownership.
AlTheEngineer well of course the battery is the first thing to go out if the phone is well built. I’ve had Sony and battery was puffy and useless after 4-5 years. I don’t think the difference is that great between the two these days. It depends how much the phone is used, what it was used for, whether it was used in hot environment etc. The iPhones also have optimised battery charging now, which is the same thing as battery care.

Sony Xperia 1 ii has the highest Pixel per Inch(PPI) smartphone in 2020. This makes it the most eye convenient phone in 2020 due to the sharpening image produced. Also, put in mind that this phone display producing 1 billion colors!!! which not provide in any flagship in 2020 until this day. Does the night mode Work only in photo pro or just reglar camera app? 😊
Its in auto but sony should release a night mode in a future update
Best flagship phone from Sony with amazing features.Your review of this phone is outstanding.Kudos.
Thank you very much!
@@TechLineHD Thanks for your reply.Go ahead.
If you would watch this on CNET or Everything Apple or others.. they will tell you apple looks better, apps feels smoother, camera is better, overall they are paid well for Apple to tell you why any other phone isn't worth buying
I mean, those guys are not photographers, so obviously if they had this phone for a review video, they would say that "Apple, Samsung and others have better dynamic range" which is why this phone definitely needs people who seriously know about Sony alpha or photography to review this thing properly.
Great review!
Just a correction. The phone comes with a 15W charger and supports 21W fast charging
the best and very informative video about this phone on youtube thanks
I really appreciated this review
Not available in Australia.
I've been waiting for your video, one thing is for sure, not even Sony can show their device like you do.
Wow, hope Sony sees this comment! Thanks a lot for watching!
@@TechLineHD Not that its bad, but I think the thumbnail is not doing enough justice to the video. Personally, I think 10:52, 7:44, 7:46 or 1:18 would be awesome for a thumbnail.
How is the head phone audio quality compered to LG V60 as my options are LG V60 or Xperia 1 ii.
Sorry, I don't have an LG V60
@@TechLineHD ok,.thanks for your fast reply..
I am waiting for long time for your review, I am your fan for your review style and video quality. I already order for this mobile. Thanks
Thank you very much! Really appreciate that, Pavi!
I really like your reviews
Best video 📹 you are only one that understand the new technology ⚙in camera 📸 smart phone given by sony co.Nice to watch this video. 👍👍
Great video man these are my top 3 smartphones in 2020 not sure which one to choose
4K vs 2k vs 1.5K for the iPhone 📱 please help
Also I thought iPhone we’re using Sony lens for the cameras is that not the case if so which company are there using now?
Because they all 3 are 12 Megapixels?
I preordered mine but I hate that the selfie camera sits at a fixed focus (no af)
Great review! I look forward to your future tech reviews.
Much appreciated! I'm glad you like my videos!
This or oppo find x2 pro idk what to choose
I've cracked my s10 screen and am looking for a replacement phone. I love my music and am seriously considering lg v50 as it has the quad DAC . But this is tempting too. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?
I bought fujifilm xt-3 for around 900$ and brand new! Smartphone manual system is pretty bullshit! And those selfie from 1200$ camera is pretty poor!
got the original sony xperia 1 here:d Brilliant phone
Perfect review love it man.
Much appreciated!
Good review but I'd like to see this phone up against the current smartphone camera king, Pixel 4 XL. Those photos are unbelievable and from there we might see how good Sony Xperia 1 II really is.
Thank you, this is a great review .. You talked about everything in detail and with all impartiality .. Therefore, you deserve to be followed and admired..I see you more fair than some paid reviewers .. I only have one note I think that wireless charging is 15 watts according to my information so please kindly correct my information If I am wrong .. Accept my admiration 😍😍
Glad you enjoyed it! I really appreciate your kind words! According to my research, it is 11W but there is no confirmation on the official site for now
Sony Xperia 1 ii has the highest Pixel per Inch(PPI) smartphone in 2020. This makes it the most eye convenient phone in 2020 due to the sharpening image produced. Also, put in mind that this phone display producing 1 billion colors!!! which not provide in any flagship in 2020 until this day. Also, it produces a 90hz equivalent refresh rate in the highest resolution mode in the phone without the need to reduce the resolution as competitors did!!!
Wow - nice review thank you! Lovely production and great information.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it!
@@TechLineHD Info was so good in fact, that I've just ordered one!
You missed on HS mode, the special feature for gamers.
But as always, a great nonbiased review from you.
Anyways, very few not so intrusive shortcommings, but so many special extras on this phone. I prefer it as a complete package over any other similar priced competitor.
Steep yes, but worth it...again, yes.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I could have mentioned that but I wanted to focus more on camera and I didn't want to make this a 20 min long video
We need comparison with High end camera.
Am in love with xperia have to get one
extremely well done review
Thank you kindly!
battery only 4000 mah? :(
It doesn't support face unlock?
Support
