Radiohead's Paranoid Android, in an arrangement by Matthijs van Dijk mattvandijk.com/ Filmed live in the Bar der Kammerspiele of the Saatstheater Darmstadt, November 2019
I like it. First time I've heard a classical cover of a rock song that doesn't sound tacky. Sounds like a piece that someone might have actually originally written for string quartet.
This is absolutely incredible. Reminds me of all the cool shit you used to stumble across on the internet before it became clogged up with empty calories promoted by "the algorithm." This was so well interpreted and excellently performed, I hope I start getting recommended this stuff.
Amazing how you guys could reach the loud part's similar atmosphere with just acoustic instruments. Held my breath several times while listening to this.
Wow, thank you for performing this song as a string quartet, and recognizing how special and powerful this song is. Your version brought tears in my eyes. Bravo for this performance. 874 views and 48 likes, WTF ????? What's wrong in this this world ????.... A lot, we know....... Keep doing what you are doing !!!!! This is priceless !
Absolutely amazing arrangement, this hits hard emotionally and goes so hard! I wish I could see a reaction video of this was played to a live audience 250years ago
It’s like something composed by Philip Glass and performed by Kronos Quartet…..but they really good musicians with new dimensions on Radiohead’s masterpiece!
Immediately hit like then subscribe then, most importantly, the bell so I don't miss out on any more of these hidden gems! Can't wait to see what else they've got!
Shame on youtube's algorithm for keeping this hidden for so long
NOT 4 me man

Listen to beck cover sound and vision by David Bowie
To be fair 95% of rock songs are 3 chords and a catchy hook tho. Radiohead is different. Bowie too🤘
this is why internet exists
Best thing about it 😊
The fucking noise they get out of those things at 5:26! Brilliant!
I have this on loop and live for that moment 😅
I like how the chaos of the last bit translates so well into strings. Just bravo
It's a crime this has been up for 2 years and so few views and likes.
I agree. Very accomplished! Commenting to give it a kick in the algorithm
check the other string quartets doing this or other Radiohead songs.
Great arrangement but I feel like the tempo was really off between the players.. maybe that's why it hasn't been super successful
True!
Maybe if the audio was a bit better.
I heard the lyrics until I saw no one was singing. 10/10.
Violin mimics the human voice and its beings being played extremely well, so I'm not surprised.
Can't believe I only found this video now! Soooooo sick.
Same here!

This feels like a scene that was cut from peter and the wolf.

I wonder how this quartet arranged and figured out how to play tribute to a Radiohead masterpiece from the past. Well played indeed.
