I do realize that the GP sounds a bit boggy but I'm sure that if it's a bit over-jetted or whatever then its not going to hurt anything at this point, plus I'm going nice and steady I'm supposed to be running this in remember! Anyway, enjoy.
@@exsoulagent You know it mate. I've got my 28mm dellorto so will give that a go this week. There'll be an update vid on the GP anyway as me and our kid took the scoots out on Sunday with nearly disastrous results haha. Everything's ok btw and no real damage done. No prizes for guessing what happened either. Let's just say he isn't running an engine in again... Thanks for watching and for the advice pal.
Cheers for posting..you've inspired me to have a final go at getting mine going I've had carb issues...had a bez tonight.. finally..40 miles..and loved every minute. My first scooter..learning from these vids..cheers!
@@digger9million its an Italian Li125 special with an indian 185 std on it, clubman, jetex etc. Seems to work alright..just running it in now, 100 miles in.
@@digger9million Argh man! I've sheared my layshaft where the thread is. Just when the carb was working canny too! Got an MB replacement. Fingers crossed it sll hoes in fine!🤞
Yeah it's wierd. It might be due to the shorter front end or something. The forks will be marginally shorter etc so I guess it'll make it feel that little bit more connected? Anyway it's good fun so that's the main thing! Ta for watching.
The GP would be a lot more responsive if you fitted a lighter flywheel . I've got an AF mid weight flywheel on my LiS185 and the difference it made in acceleration was staggering. I think from memory it weighs around 1Kg
I've got a mid-weight one on mine I think. I did have an AF lightened one in the garage for ages but sold it a while ago. Good idea though. I think he wants a TS1 or something really. The way he rode this on Sunday you'd think he already had one haha. I'll see if I can sort this out a bit better anyway. Thanks for watching mate.
Thanks matey yeah it was. I'll go for a proper ride out next time to an actual destination of some kind, rather than just booting it around aimlessly! Thanks for watching as always mate.
Ok mate great blogs by the way quick question what’s the rapido 225 Like to ride does it have enough power low revs and is it fast enough high revs is it any good Keep doing what you are doing mate great stuff
The Rapido is sound mate in my opinion. Ive got taller gearing in mine so it all effects how it rides and how much you have to rev it etc. Overall I think it's dead right. Thanks for watching the vids pal!
To be honest mate I believe that Castrol was originally called the Wakefield Oil Company but because the owner was called Charles Wakefield. I think anyway but I'm often wrong ha. Love you're channel by the way pal, you're vids are ace, they're really informative. Thanks for watching!
@@digger9million You could be correct, I presumed Wakefield on the old signs was the place and not a name ! Been watching your vlogs for years bud. Always a good watch.
before you go porting etc you might find the following video interesting from Dan the man. Its about a series of articles written by Darryl Taylor where he investigates the benefits of porting and matching manifolds etc to improve airflow and whether they actually improve performance. You might be as surprised as I was . ua-cam.com/video/SxQV0xz4q6E/v-deo.html Funny how different scoots can feel so.. different
