Merry Christmas, Peter! I think that Bachmann rolling stock in general has always been pretty good in regards to freight and passenger cars. Their locomotives have come a LONG way in the past 15 years from the absolute garbage of the 80's and 90's. Especially the diesels. 🎄🎁
Love them Kato Rs-2s. I have a number of them as sold under Atlas name. Love them to pieces. Those and their RS-11 brothers. Sorry for magic of Bachmann. I have a number of Spectrum F units that look nice but have broken gearitis of course.
I have both Bachmann's Christmas trains and no problems with them running or staying on the track. The couplers are a problem though. I replaced all couplers with Micro-Trains. Maybe check the wheels with a gauge to see if they are correct. Make sure the locomotive is oiled properly to run smoothly. Just a thought.
I had many bachmann n scale trains in the past. I learned an old lesson....run Bachmann trains ONLY on Bachmann track, Kato on Kato, everything else....on various snap track made by others, lol. Haven't had any troubles since i started doing that. I do have one question. Being that the coaches are so light weight...can you possibly fit a single one of those 1/4 oz. "tire/wheel weights" with a sticky backing into the coaches?? placed in the middle of the floor. I did try it with a combine coach, but just that one and left the others as is. It did work for me.
Merry Christmas dude! I've got a question for you and a suggestion. I volunteer at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo California, San Diego County. We have a rs2 from Kennecott copper Corporation . As far as I know no modifications were ever made to it but I have heard you claim there are no pure RS2 in preservation so I am curious what is a pure rs2? We are also in the process of restoring a ALCO RSX-4 (MRS1 military road switcher). USAF 2104. I'm not sure if you have heard of the Military Road switcher program but it was GE and Alco versus EMD and ultimately GE and Alco won and got the contract early in the Cold War in case we ever had to fight in Europe. Nobody's ever done a video on this whole program and I think this would be something very interesting for you to do and we have both the EMD and GE versions are Museum grounds that I can provide images and video of if you ever wanted to cover it. Ozzy
Sorry! My mistake on the rs-2's, I meant to refer to operating examples. As for the military switchers, I would be very interested in Making a documentary on them, especially if you could provide me footage and pictures of those locomotives. Please contact me via my email address noted under the about this channel link on my UA-cam home page.
I'm sorry, but it looks like a conductor / engineer failure. Not the train. You're blaming the train, but to be honest you didn't even fix your own track and then blame the train. Not good..... Try it again with honest effort.
Awesome... Love your n scale layout.... Merry Christmas 🎄
