Yeah as a city cop I can tell you from the time you dial 911 to the time we get notified can be 5-10 minutes. Plus we gotta then get to you. Gramps here didn't have that kinda time. Due to my training and experiences I say there's a pretty high chance had he not been prepared, he probably wouldn't be here today. The news clip I saw about this store owner said he had a heart attack right after this happened. I hope he is doing well and this old guy is a real hero.
Criminals will think twice after this. Every time they get away with no friction, they get more confident and hurt/affect more people. God bless this man.
Yeah tell that to cities like Detroit, Chicago, New York city, LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland. Clearly the "catch and release" policy doesn't work.
Good for this store owner to defend himself. Unfortunately he had a heart attack after the shooting but he came back to work the next day. Now that’s a badass in my book and I would have done the same thing as this man.

Oh it's gonna be memory holed especially because they were using non ca compliant ars and because the robbers were bIack which goes against the narrative.
As drastic as this whole incident was, it actually turned out about as best as can be. The store owner is alive, the suspects/robbers are alive (debatable by some), the stolen guns were recovered, the stolen car was recovered, it was all caught on video, the neighborhood basically supports the store owner, etc. Of course, we all know there is a defense/civil lawyer out there just drooling at the lawsuit they want to prepare against the old man. Just watch how much support the old man gets from the community for his personal self-defense. Good job store owner.
The store owner is lucky to be alive... after he had a heart attack after and had to go to the hospital. Most people are not mentioning the stress something like that puts on anyone. Hopefully he doesn't have any new permanent problems from his heart attack.
No, the “best as can be” scenario would be for the idiots to not have attempted robbery in the first place. They gave him a heart attack, that’ll leave a lasting effect on him and probably take a couple years off his life. Nothing about the robbers behavior is excusable
I am amazed at how incredulous the young man sounds as he's running to the get away car, 'he shot me... He blew my arm off.' It's like he honestly thinks only his actions can be justified. The clerk was completely beyond the pale of civil society when he shot the armed robber, defending himself. After all, law abiding citizens should never be allowed to have or carry, "weapons of war".
"The possibility that one's intended victim is armed was evidently a concern to most of these men- the strong majority(81%) agreed that it was wise to find out in advance if one's potential victims are armed, and to avoid them if they are." Those types of people that can't harness their inner ninja to fight an attacker or multiple attackers. This video definitely made my day.
I had someone come into my house all amped up on stuff, luckily for me I was able to trap him in the garage. My neighbor that got home late seen him jump the fence and dialed 911, shortly after he was trapped the police got there. 5 big guys took over 10 minutes to get this guy in cuffs. Love your videos and pretty much always agree with your points and outlook. But, just an FYI...as a southern California resident (with a CCW, for whatever that's worth), living probably 15 minutes from where this happened....AR's are not banned here. I'm building another one right now. Certain features are banned, and can classify a rifle as an "assault weapon". We all know that's a bogus, arbitrary classification. But it's easy enough to stay within the law and still have a functional rifle.
That irritates the hell out of me. The news claims the store owner was protecting his business. NO. He was protecting his life. Tell the truth or quit reporting lies. Great job to the shop owner for protecting himself.
I agree wholeheartedly. Even if someone was just protecting their business and didn't have a gun pointed at them (like rooftop Koreans, for example), I would argue that it's still their life they're protecting, as they've spent the majority of their daily lives building and running their business, which they need to live life. Fuck these low-life scumbags who have no regard for human life and seek to just take what they want from anyone, instead of going out and earning a living and a proper place in society.
These criminals don't want a gun fight and they don't want a murder charge either. They just want the money. This is why they run like little girls when meet with any armed resistance.
This is EXACTLY how such things should go down. And it's good to notice how important CCTV was to this. He had every right to shoot the guy ON SIGHT because he saw him preparing on video, and knew he was facing a VERY dangerous scenario.
Hearing that punk screaming like that is hilarious and satisfying. A great example of someone pretending to be a lion but not mentally being prepared or capable of the things lions actually do. Hats off to the store owner!
I'm not even a criminal, and yet I know that after an armed robbery gone wrong you drop your friend off outside the hospital and get as far away as you can. The fact that they all got busted at the hospital means they aren't playing with close to a full deck. The video showing a 30 round magazine is perfect. I suggest these gentlemen receive a government-paid house next to Newsom's.
That was a poorly executed robbery they aren't smart so not surprised how they got caught. I wont go into how they should have done it because I dont want the wrong people to know.

These criminals already were in possession of a stolen car, and several stolen (and illegal in California) firearms. These kinda criminals don't care who they hurt along the way.
That old man didn't even hesitate. You love to see it. Damn good shot too😂😂
You know he spent months dry fire training and mentally preparing for this, paid off. You love to see it!
No, was nearly a good shot, was off from being a good shot by about 10-14inches.
No meat necklace to dead weight, so...
The prosecutor will probably charge him for not letting the criminal have the first shot, some liberal 🤷🤦
Amazing how quickly they fled when met with resistance instead of a helpless target. I applaud this gentleman for protecting his self. We’ll done.
"You're not peaceful, you're harmless." Perfect prey to criminals and politicians. Firearms are part of martial arts.
The news clip I saw about this store owner said he had a heart attack right after this happened. I hope he is doing well and this old guy is a real hero.
He was back the next day...there is a follow on video where they interviewed him
It’s been reported the robbers were very upset believing the 2A only applied to them.
Of course they did
🤣
The Robber with the AR-15 wasn't used to the prey shooting back 😁
Colion is super intelligent and professional. I could listen to him talk all day.
Criminals will think twice after this. Every time they get away with no friction, they get more confident and hurt/affect more people. God bless this man.
They definitely won’t think twice 🤣 they’re stupid enough to do this in the first place. And back the escape vehicle backwards facing the camera
Yeah tell that to cities like Detroit, Chicago, New York city, LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland. Clearly the "catch and release" policy doesn't work.
Many of them won’t that’s why this gone keep happening to they ass
Good for this store owner to defend himself. Unfortunately he had a heart attack after the shooting but he came back to work the next day. Now that’s a badass in my book and I would have done the same thing as this man.
Good info sir. Thanks.
But before coming back to work he chugged a bottle of Jack Daniels and satisfied his wife twice. 😁😁😁

But I tend to disagree.
You’d better read your history.

Considering how fast douch pointed the rifle at him, he was defending his life first and foremost.

Norco strong. Took the kids in to the store today. Let them know we are praying for a speedy recovery for the owner. He had a heart attack shortly after this took place.
His blood was pumping, so he was also on edge at the ordeal Thank God he pulled through.
This is awesome and most likely will be overlooked by anti-gunners.
It will be on purpose
Last time a good citizen _disarmed_ a bad person he was called racist and ridiculed for months*.
They’ll say he should’ve let himself get robbed
Well of course!
Oh it's gonna be memory holed especially because they were using non ca compliant ars and because the robbers were bIack which goes against the narrative.
They got this wrong. He didn't defend his business. He defended his life
Oh look the criminal is not following the California AWB … who would have thought?
I don't know or agree these four cowards still being alive is a good thing----how long until one or all of them commit another crime?
@@AyaWetts
I think it's a good time for him to retire and sell his business, And hopefully to someone that arms themself!
No, the “best as can be” scenario would be for the idiots to not have attempted robbery in the first place. They gave him a heart attack, that’ll leave a lasting effect on him and probably take a couple years off his life. Nothing about the robbers behavior is excusable
the only way the situation would have been better is if all the suspects died gruesome deaths
I am amazed at how incredulous the young man sounds as he's running to the get away car, 'he shot me... He blew my arm off.'
It's like he honestly thinks only his actions can be justified. The clerk was completely beyond the pale of civil society when he shot the armed robber, defending himself. After all, law abiding citizens should never be allowed to have or carry, "weapons of war".
"The possibility that one's intended victim is armed was evidently a concern to most of these men- the strong majority(81%) agreed that it was wise to find out in advance if one's potential victims are armed, and to avoid them if they are."

That was a great report. Keep your head and on a swivel and look like you know where you are going, how to handle yourself and walk tall and proud and most bad guys will leave you alone

It's funny how the news anchors were saying he was protecting his business he didn't do that to just protect his business he did it to protect his life theres been multiple instances where even tho they comply with the robbers the robbers still kill them
So was the robber going to shoot the business.........Lol
As far as I could see, the AR15 was pointed at the store owner the minute the robber entered. That’s sufficient amount of threat of life to act upon. If it wasn’t for the robbers blood curdling scream his partner would have followed him into the store. Prompt, accurate and decisive action by the store owner saved himself from severe bodily harm or death. Case closed. Great point Michael!

Correct Jeremy ~ He protected HIS LIFE and NOT the DAMN business !!
Too bad he wasn’t screaming “ my junk , he shot my junk” . The real story is the 80 year old is someone to be admired . Beware the man with a gun in his hand, willing and able to take a stand
I will always aim for the crotch.
That is why a gun is called an equalizer. It tips the scales of survivability in favor of the elderly, the 120 pound woman , the physically disabled, or the small guy. Those types of people that can't harness their inner ninja to fight an attacker or multiple attackers.
Some people just don't understand how dangerous a single individual can be!

Indeed. A single individual can be quite dangerous. Whether they are on drugs, or some nutcase breaks I to their house in the middle of the night, or starts shooting at the mall food court where you and your girlfriend are eating lunch
Protect his "business" just like the media to look over the fact they would have killed him he protected his life

"the surprise of their lives". See that's the problem, it should not surprise an armed robber that someone protects themselves. However these politicians work so hard to be sure that criminals maintain the upper hand, and so here we are.
I’m sure Gascon is staying up late looking for a way to punish an 80 year old working man for notwaiting to get hurt before fighting back and being unfair to the poor opresed thugs

The last thing you want is your government trying to take away your guns and leave you helpless and just defensive less against them I am a firm believer in being able to use a handgun or firearm to defend yourself after your video of New York Republican wavering on the house banding semi automatics I am in the process of moving out of New York and moving to Tennessee to exercise my Second Amendment rights after living here for over 50yrs
"A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the way". That is the BEST motto I have heard since "When seconds count, cops are minutes away".
He got way more than he was looking for. Thanks for covering this story
