bit.ly/2CHLudt
It's not that Americans think it's impossible to stop, it's that we don't believe making people helpless and unable to defend ourselves is the way to do it.
You're rich, you can hire security guards to follow you around 24/7 most Americans don't have that privilege, so we own handguns, shotguns and AR-15's to protect our families from criminals and our country from tyrannical governments.
You may not like that, yet here you are in America making millions by giving us backhanded compliments and then trying to shame us because we won't bow to the daddy government and say please take our guns away from us and protect us.
The Irony.

My response, non-Americans don't get to tell Americans what to do.
💯 % 👏👏👏
Yeah because we are not use to see those guns
Especially since his homeland is a gun and crime ridden cess pool🙄
Here here!
To be fair everyones allowed their opinion. His just happens to suck.
"I'm Trevor Noah. I'm from South Africa.
I cant imagine a government being so oppressive that its citizens needed to be armed to protect themselves from their government." 😐
Exactly! Violent crime in South Africa is totally out of control, the cases where guns are involved often including criminals carrying around actual fully-automatic assault rifles while the citizens are limited to handguns, shotguns or bolt-action rifles, and that's just applicable to the citizens who were lucky and patient enough to obtain license(s).
If the US implements gun control as Trevor is advocating for, expect violent crimes involving guns to a) get out of control and b) NOT be reported on by the leftist media, especially not by kontkop Trevor Noah.

Hahahahaha. Nailed it
The irony is deafening.
Intense irony
1. Trevor Noah is on Comedy Central. That should tell you everything you need to know.
2. Shouldn’t Trevor Noah, someone raised in apartheid South Africa, know how important it is to have the right to fight a tyrannical government?
Exactly a month American not born here in the US is going to tell me what are rights and what should be banned and passed 😂 skipped all his scenes where his opinion was expressed.

Here's an idea... if laws will solve the problem, why don't we just make a law that states its illegal to carry a gun into schools?
Well, there you go!
Criminals ignore laws.
Too late, they already made that law and the only thing it accomplished was, get this, more school shootings and more victims because the shooters knew nobody could stop them.
Well I mean murder is illegal. Drugs are illegal. But ya know how well those laws work.
As an American who came from Cuba I tell you defend the First and the Second Ammendment even if it cost you your life because living as a sheep, a slave of communism is worse than death.

He's proving exactly what they're trying to do take our guns one step at a time.
Exactly, they won't stop on the ARs, the next time they will ban rifles in general, after it the next is going to ban any shotgun that aren't Double barrel, then auto loader pistol, and when you go to see, a cap and ball revolver will be hard to get as a full auto AK 47.

Food & defense.. but I’m just some guy in the internet I guess..
Chicago instituted an outright ban on new gun ownership/ registration from 1982 to 2012, it had an insignificant effect on the murder rate.
@Culture 25-8 What a totally nonsensical bull*%^% attempt at logic. Just because a man/woman buys a fire arm legally doesn’t mean that there won’t be something in his/her psyche that causes them to use the weapon for an illegal or nefarious purpose. So, you make gun ownership difficult, and for a select few, then within that select few one of them goes off the deep end and unloads on his family and the family next door…then what, you make it even harder until you just ban ownership outright. Btw, criminals who want something will Always find a way to get it…prove me wrong
@Culture 25-8 1. ‘Government is supposed to protect life’ 🤦How old are you. I’m guessing you attended school when they switched out Civics replace it with Social Studies. REAL EXPERIENCE: I came from Brazil to the US 2 years ago because Brazil turned into a huge criminal mess. This happened because of ONE REASON: in 2003 the federal gov disallowed people to have guns, limited caliber even for security guards and people that had proved the real need to keep a gun. After that, the crime in Brazil climbed a lot. My wife had a .38 in her stomach in the middle of the beach on a holiday with the place crowded. House invasions are pretty common there. Like, every day a house in the neighborhood is invaded. They make the whole family hostage and spank you and your kids. If you try to react, they kill you. They stole iPhones, cars, motorcycles... in the middle of the street. They point a gun in your head and tell you to shut up and give them everything. Do you know WHY? Because they know YOU don't have a gun. They know good people are not allowed to have guns. AND... in 2017, 2 guys made a mess shooting in a school. LAWS that disallow good people to have tools to protect themselves and protect their families, DO NOT WORK. Those who have the intention to commit these things will find ways to buy guns on the black market. Or even use another kind of weapon or a truck as happened in Nice, France.
This is the best comment on this post. Thank you!!!!!!
Is the same way in Mexico. Only criminals have guns and if they enter your home and rape your children you’re not allowed to kill these bastards. The regular civilian has no way to protect himself or his family. And every civilian feel defenseless. Only military and cops which are bought ot threatened by the criminals is the ones with the guns. So you are at the expense of the bad ones hoping they just steal from you and leave. Trevor is an idiot that lives in a bubble or is paid off by somebody to say stupid things.

2 advocates for criminals
@Culture 25-8 the same way illegal drugs enter the country are the same way guns enter the country. Only difference is that only the bad guys have guns.
He’s comparing a privilege with driving to a right of self protection!
It's actually a pretty good comparison to use on an ignorant anti-gunner, because they consider driving a right and firearm ownership a privilege. Since they can't grasp that fundamental fallacy, you can use it to your advantage to explain, exactly how Colion did, the parallels between certain guns and certain cars or certain crimes with both.
For example, if someone wants to ban AR-15s because they "can" kill lots of people, then we should also ban sports cars because they *can* speed excessively. If someone wants to ban handguns because they're used in most crimes, then we should also ban large vehicles like pickups and SUVs because they're involved in the most accidents.
Then, when those cars are banned, and accidents continue, we'll ban the sedans, and on and on until everyone is driving a the same, State-mandated car, or all cars are banned from private use entirely.
Anyone sane can see the parallels there. If they don't, then they're a hopeless moron and there's no more point in arguing with them.
I loved it. Thanks Colion. Nicely done.
Every counter point you made was brilliant and informative. Keep up the good work.

what i find hilarious, is 9 times out of 10, whenever you have a celebrity talking about gun control, they are talking to someone who is like minded, or simply talking to an audience, majority of the time they will never have someone of an opposite opinion sitting next to them to discuss with, and that's cause they don't want any of their rhetoric to be pointed out for the holes that are in them, they want to sit there, sound smart and make people feel like if they aren't agreeing with him, something must be wrong with "them"
Also love how they make comparisons to things that are privileges and not a right. Quit comparing apples and oranges.
I love when they say "its an impossible conversation" during a monologue with no opportunity for people to debate it
play China during the last lockdown s in my pet was taken from my home and killed on the street locked in my house I wish I had a gun. talk to people who know what it is like to be a puppet for your government
Trevor: its impossible
Why?
Trevor: because I made it that way
Anyone ask Noah how his home country is doing after heavy implementation of gun control a while back. Isn't it like the 5th most dangerous country now?
Good point
Only dangerous for white people. I bet he loves it.
SHHhhhhh.... don't burst the bubble... Trevor has a script & a teleprompter...He's an ACTOR from South Africa...
@@ADarkRogue
No wonder he was roasting Biden that one time and actually making sense. Mans is just another puppet
Which country is that?
Colion is a a great spokesman for our 2A Rights!
Beautiful. Good job. Thoughtful and well spoke.
I’ve never heard a pro gun person say “we should ban this gun”. My god is Trevor ignorant but most of the people who want these measures taken are completely out of touch with reality.
He's not ignorant. He's just flat out lying.
@Bustin Bieber Sadly, he's not actually out of touch. He's simply lying, or more accurately he's being disingenuous. It's becoming more and more obvious that these late-night hosts are on the DNC payroll, promoting their message instead of being funny, which is much more difficult anyway.
Unfortunately I have seen those people... strongly disagree with them tho
@@arinerm1331 The late night hosts and 90% (conservative estimate) of mainstream media. It's stunning people do not realize this but I guess you actually have to pay attention to politics, be informed, and be able to be objective about things, which is apparently asking way too much for most people.
Actually I have he claimed to be a marine and said he's a avid gun owner and shooter. His words were noone here needs a ar15 or a ak47.
I remember a similar discussion. "First we vote out Trump, we'll deal with Biden later." We are living this disaster in real time.
OR with Obama Care, let’s first pass the bill, then you can see what’s in it.
We should just make murder illegal! Ohhh…..🤦♂️
It’s crazy how someone from South Africa doesn’t understand the need for firearms.
This the same dude that left his own Country that has guns basically banned for law abiding citizens yet has some of the highest crime/murder rates?
Indeed. Licensing process in ZA from scratch to having it in your hand takes anything from 12-18 months depending on how competent the cops choose to be on the day.
Bruh... My father is a PH (professional Hunter) and even just applying for a hunting rifle with all of his credentials can take 2 years.
It's absolutely ridiculous, not to mention all of the taxes in place to make guns expensive. It costs about 6 months wage at minimum wage to buy a crappy second hand handgun.
My stance on gun rights boils down to a single sentence:
NOTHING in the world is more important, than your ability to defend yourself, WITHOUT having to rely on someone else's charity.
We d0 need to stop the killing of children and innocent people. Gun control would help. Unfortunately it isn't guns that kill. It's those who possess the guns. People!!!! So we need better background checks.
Not even you kids?
If you've watched any of his other videos he's explained background checks. Universal background checks can't happen without a national gun registration which he's explained that those will never happen...why cause they don't work. Hitler used the national registry to go after political opponents and then eventually Jewish people. It would be no difference here if they are allowed. As long as the 2nd amendment exists the government stays weary of those that can challenge their authority.
@@debrabey4955 ok define "better background checks" seriously I'm curious because all I hear is this "better background checks and gunshow loopholes (which there is no loophole) and ban guns outright" how do you make it better?
@@debrabey4955 the idea behind background checks is that we have people in our society who are dangerous to others, and that we know who they are. The solution is not to prevent them from obtaining firearms legally, since they can obtain them in other ways, but to lock them up where they are not a danger to anyone.
Thank you for standing against those that are trying to restrict our right to defend our families and ourselves. You have my full support and respect.
He’s so smug and sure that he’s right. I’d love to see him refute this video. He’s living and working in this country because he loves all of the privileges that the constitution affords including the 2nd amendment. But he’s not bright enough to realize that the “gun reform” that he wants would lead to many of the freedoms he enjoys being stripped away.
I wonder what would happen if someone bum rushed the stage like with what happened with Dave Chapelle. And the attacker was only charged with a misdemeanor.
"he's so smug 😂😂😂😂"
“We solve problems with incremental solutions” says the guy who opposed a border wall because “it wouldn’t work.”
Boom!
Over half of the illegals in America flew here... Not to mention that there's countless evidence of those on the ground easily circumventing the existing wall. A border wall is pointless and a waste of money. What's needed is people and surveillance.
He just said "it's not a slippery slope" (to total bans) "it's just where we start"(to push for total bans). They don't even hear themselves when they lie out loud.
I really appreciate these videos Coloin. We need more sanity to combat the overwhelming amount of lies told.
It's wonderful how people from other countries love to dismiss our 2nd amendment right as if it is something that is not important.
And I'm not gonna feel one bit sorry for them when the hammer falls and they get handed a shovel with which to dig their own grave.
@@cog7795 they come to this country, establish their platform, make money and tell America how backwards our country is. Funny how America is always called to help bail out or pressure other countries. South Africa, England, France, Ukraine, Soviet Union, China to name a few, yet we are always criticized later as imperialist and war like. God bless America.
An he should know better, he's from South Africa, where crime and racism is taken to a whole 'nother level
Never give up your 2nd ammendment, AUstralis is under tyranical rule. Melbourne went through the most draconian lockdown where you were only allowed to go out of your residence 1hr a day.
tl;dr South African hapa saying the fuckups of his parents should be repeated for his comfort.
I can totally understand why immigrants like me have thoughts aligned with Trevor. As grown up from a country been controlled by the government, we have the mindset that guns are bad and calling police is the solution. I didn't understand the power of 2A given by the founding fathers of the United States.
As I was from Republic of China, we also had gun violence mainly due to gang activities. Surely enough, it's a gun free country. I have no idea why some American people believe what the politicians told them that gun free equals to no gun violence. Not only criminals are gonna criminal despite the tools they use, but also disarmed sane, sober, moral, prudent law abiding citizens. We then have no abilities to defend tyranny nor abilities to even protect our homes, our families, or even ourselves.
Thanks to many people on UA-cam like Colion educating how important and precious our 2A rights. I am happy for you Americans and I am blessed to be an American now. Let's preserve our 2A rights and pass on to generations.
My problem is, he comes form a place with insane crime problems murder rates escalating and people need the right to defend themselves. And that government is trying hard to remove that right from us.
When the corrupt ccp police arrives you'll already be dead. Self defense is a human right
Welcome to being an American my friend! We're all Americans that love this country no matter where we came from! And also thank for bringing us what a tyrannical government can do.
The fact that he cites Nelson Mandella, who was actually a heavily armed, pro violence freedom fighter before he became a famous anti-apartheid figurehead in the West says it all. Putting him next to Ghandi is just as absurd, speechs or nay, there was nothing non-violent about Nelson Mandella, he advocated violence, there are picture of him proudly holding the guns he used to fight with! ...Pure fictions, I only recently found that out myself and it shocked me actually, after Mandella's name being upheld for all these years like some kind of figure of saintly virtue - but in this case its completely inverted - it was the guns he took which meant he could fightbback against tyranny.
@@JesseP.Watson so because he held guns to fight for freedom he shouldn't be held next to pedophile ghandi as a Saint. Well if that's your perspective I completely agree
They can always move to a country where guns are banned... how many countries allow for it's citizens to protect themselves from their government and criminals with a firearm I can move to?
man, you attacked every analogy with precision. My favorite point was the civil rights argument. Good work.
That's the difference between him and Trevor. Colion attacks the *argument* and does it very precisely, seriously, and provides evidence and accurate, up to date statistics. Trevor attacks the people by mocking them and the argument without providing any solid evidence for his claims.
I don't think the car analogy worked, guns are designed to kill, cars are not, that's why people don't try and ban cars.
@@dts7824 Unless you hijack a truck, drive it into a busy area of town and begin to move down pedestrians as fast as you can, so many will also die.
@@ifirespondiamstupid7750 yes but my point still stands, trucks are designed to transport stuff, not kill people.
@@monsieurtarzan4249 because universal background checks require a gun registry to work and govts use gun registries for gun confiscation
"Most car enthusiasts agree, we should ban certain types of cars"
-Trevor Noah
Trevor this aint even your country f outtahere
We do ban certain types of cars. There are many cars, engines, and types of fuel that are banned in the United States.
Or maybe we should ban teenage boys. The firearm couldn't do any damage without the teenager. Was it the firearm or the teenage boy?
@@bliznik You missed the point completely. How many car enthusiasts WANT certain cars to be banned?
@@oceanwaves83 That is a strawman argument. He never said most gun owners would ban AR-15s. He said most gun owners want laws to change to improve gun safety, like closing the loophole that allows citizens with mental health problems to buy guns, or having consistent background checks that prevent a violent felon in one state from buying a gun in another state.
As a South African I would like to say Trevor is a poes, and I’m a gun loving South African who constantly fighting the system against this tyrant government that have armed guards but don’t allow us to be armed.
You fighting which system sir ? South African system? All these ignorant Americans will believe that nonsense.
He is a poes but the US put him there and he can and will stay there. I hope for our sake, we've enough kak to worry about.
As a potato, I like to think Joe Biden represents us well. He's got eyes, can't think and no matter how hard they try to wash him...he still has some dirt on him.
@Mo Why wouldn’t we believe him?
@@chuckscott4661 cause I am South African as well and I know how South African whites are always complaining about everything, first they were paranoid about when the former president Mandela got released out of prison that we would revolt and kill whites . That never happened, secondly they were worried that soon as Former President Mandela dies we would kill them that never happened. Thirdly it's farm killings, the stats of farm killings don't mention who gets killed. It just says farm killings I am sure the majority of people getting killed are the farm workers. They are still busy playing military games planning how they would defend themselves should we attack them .
As a member of those named Trevor, I DO NOT condone this Trevor's behavior and stance against guns. Shame. Shame. Shame.
I'll take living with "the problem" than living with "the solutions".
Maybe we should address how guns haven’t changed but culture has and we need to shift this country toward the values it had when this wasn’t an issue.
Abso-fucking-lutely
You mean back before we had youtubers spreading hate, condescension, and tribalism via 10-minute long rants repeating the same point using strawman arguments? Yeah, that would be nice...
What a values hopefully not Christian ones. I’m a gun owning atheist doesn’t jive well with. Plus the sky daddy was one murdering bastard .
The conversation is that leftists and democrats are godless heathen savages and deserve no say in any matters.
@@bliznik 1) Could you define hate for us less intelligent people.
2) Could you indicate where such hate was espoused in this video?

"We did this to cars, that to cars, they are safer" Yup, guns got better safer designs, better metallurgy, better combustion materials, easier safer loading practices, safety's, chamber flags. Trevor Noah has lived the horror of strict gun control and left, hes a sick person for selling out to the people peddling this knowing EXACTLY what it would bring.
he forgot that all of that "safety" doesn't prevent drunk drives like 2A infringement doesn't stop criminals.
Trevor Noah and any anti-gunner wouldn't understand anything you just said. Just try to explain what a chamber flag or loaded chamber indicator is or how a safety works to an anti-gunner and watch their eyes glaze over as they tune out everything you say. They don't _want_ to know about guns, because then they might learn that their beliefs are wrong. Because that's all it is: belief. Not logic, fact, or reason, just willfully-ignorant belief.
Guns got safer much faster and sooner then cars did
Uh-huh, so what stops a demented maniac from taking an F-150 for a test drive, then going all Death Race 2000 with it?
Common sense truck control legislation, of course.
He actually had a comedy routine when still in South Africa talking about how foolish some miners were to even think about standing up to state security forces at the mines because the security forces had guns and miners had mining tools. He is a moron
After all these years watching you I just realized I never subscribed!! Good thing UA-cam always recommended you. Subscribed now!!
And there has been a lot of other things done too: SRO’s on campus, DL checks for campus visitors; locked doors, etc.
It comes to one simple fact, we either accept the risk of citizens owning firearms or eventually accept government tyranny that rules with an iron fist.
😂 😂 😂 what a paranoid take - you've already had some restrictions on firearms ownership since the 1920s, how come over the past 100 year's America hasn't devolved into tyrany?
@@davidhughes4089 because even with all the bans and controls we still haven't given up our rights to this corrupt government. Ask yourself why the US government hasnt rolled through our cities and killed citizens the way the CCP did on June 4th 1989 at tianenmen square. Because we can fight back.
When someone who has a security detail tries to tell anyone how they don't need guns to protect themselves every thought every opinion they have on the matter is null. You don't get to tell me what my rights are and how to protect myself my family and friends.
