Thanks for teh video. I'm just trialling iki and mymemo too. I'd be very interested when one of these 2nd brains allows you to import voice memos or recordings from say notability, with automatic transcription so that you can summarrise meetings, lectures, lessons and voicenotes. A 'mymemo' style podcast would then be an awsome way to revisit and revise on the days learnings / actions etc . do you know if any of them do allow recordings imports ?

MyMemo allows microphone access on the phone which works pretty well, but yeah, they both could use more recording options. I really like Speech To Note or Voicenotes for this.

Thx for the video. I would love to use these tools in a professionel context. But whats about the data privacy. I need it to be save in the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union. Otherwise it makes no sense...

One thing I learned as an AppSumo customer: A majority of companies seem to use "GDPR" in the product description as a marketing term, but they have no idea what it means or they do not really care about that. If they are not based in Europe I do not dare to use their tools for managing customer data or personal information. Even some companies moved away from the EU after I purchased their software, which is very annoying. If I use it only for bookmarking publicly available websites it's not that important. But, as a bookmark manager it is too expensive (I use another tool where I collect bookmarks for the past 15 years). IKI is a little bit confusing. They seem to be a Dutch company, then they say they are based in the US, their servers are in Frankfurt/Germany, GDPR terms and privacy information is not existent. And after they redesigned their website recently they still write "Netherlands 2024" on the bottom of the page. Maybe they intend to be confusing. Who knows?

I was eager to see the screenshots on Fabric, but since it didn't work and there was no app available, I settled for MyMemo instead.

Hi Cole. The screenshots on Fabric worked, and there is an app. It didn't work for you?

These are great. But to be honest, they didn't have any special features compare with Notion, Obsidian and Taskade. Anyway, Thanks for sharing it!

@@IdeastoExecution Thanks. Those are different type of tools. In that space I like Fusebase.
