Do you think Ken's Kara bmk throw is worth it? It's less range than down mk but that is much harder to do... and back mk might lose some distance from moving backwards.
for me its a yes, i use it all the time, takes time to get good at it, but definitely useful. ofc it aint no chun kara, but its better than nothing

It's necessary to use his kara throw with back medium when you cross up. The normal throw will whiff if you are walking back to defend reversals.

Ken's back.MK is his best kara throw and actually one of the best kara throws when you consider that Ken's backthrow is borderline broken, takes you to the corner in most positions on the screen.
In terms of P1/P2 advantages, there are definitely differences between the two the most obvious being P1 Ken has a very easy ambiguous post-SA3 left/right on the shotos, but there's also P1 and P2 "corner" advantages. Basically, in some cases you can cross under or crossup the other character if it was done in the corner side that your player responds to. These situations are very difficult to block if you don't know.
Back MK is his best back throw , cr mk has the longest range for forward throw .
I thought the P1 vs P2 crossup differences were only in A3 and CvS2. IIRC in 3S it's left corner vs right corner regardless of player side
ken vs ken definitely has that post super superjump setup that is only ambigious when you play p1
pretty crazy how often the chun downforward HK cross up was used in this tourny and how effective it was. It seemed like something that chuns were all using just for this tournament to catch everyone off guard in these ultra tense sets.

Yeah I always assumed that Chun 3HK crossup move thing was just bad/an easy parry, probably only because people said it was! It having weird player-side crossup rules sounds like some dank SNK game shit
Anyway maybe another example of how word of mouth assumptions about our old games can be a problem. Need more truly understanding (and experimentation/just doing the move sometimes, which I'm a fan of)
