There was a funny (🤔) piece in the Times a while ago about what it’s like to live in these buildings. Turns out what glitters is not always gold as they work out all the kinks. For example the plumbing and garbage chutes are incredibly ornery at such extreme heights. But they now meaningfully contribute to the skyline so they are interesting to look at and think about their place in the city. Alas, this is as close as I’ll be getting anytime soon 🤣
I’ll be the crazy guy on the street taking pictures of everything 😆 I hope it’s a great trip. Definitely see the Brooklyn bridge, high line, and little island / pier 57 rooftop. Let me know if you need other ideas 🙌
