- Evening walk in the rain in Central Park, New York. This was filmed around 7:30PM and features a walk around Central Park on a rainy summer evening. Central park is the most visited urban park in the United States and also the most filmed location in the world. Sounds of people, birds, and thunder can be heard throughout the video as well. Toward the end, I got a little lost and had to make my way back toward the south entrance. Enjoy!

Wonderful video. However, walking in Central Park in a thunderstorm is NEVER a good idea. It’s highly dangerous. I knew someone who was in a group in there. They were hit. One was killed immediately. The others spent weeks in the hospital. Always makes me cringe.

Thank you so much! This is beautifully shot. Back in the early 70s I lived not far from the park. I was one of those Central Park "Fountain" hippies that the movie "Hair" depicted. The park was my haven and my playground. It was where I fell in and out of love, played frisbee, got high, heard great music, and enjoyed being young. Now I am an old man. I have been away from New York far too long, and now I have only one item in my bucket list, to end my days in the city of my birth. The place where I live now doesn't even have sidewalks, and in the evenings I feel like a prisoner. Evening walks used to be my favorite thing. I am doing everything in my power to get back home before my expiration date. This video reminds me of why!

@@cocablack Life can take some incredibly labyrinthine turns! I had planned on being in N.Y.C. for The Year Of The Dragon (2024), which would be my 72nd trip around Ole Sol. On New Year's Day, I got a new landlord who decided to put all tenants with a rent subsidy out of their apartments. After 17 years of being a good tenant, I was summarily tossed like an old bag of trash, along with all other seniors, disabled, sick, and single mothers with children. I'll spare you the details, but it was THE MOVE FROM HELL! At the age of 70 and crippled, I had to pack a lifetime of belongings by myself, and deal with social services that seemed to need a GPS to find their rear end! It was a nightmare beyond belief, with delays and missteps at every turn. The good news is that it's over. I had to find a place here where I am, or take up residence in a men's shelter, every disabled veteran's worst nightmare. After this ordeal, I don't look forward to moving any time soon; however, I definitely plan to return to New York for a long last look. I was born in The Year of the Dragon, and if I make it back, I will be in no hurry to leave again! Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.Thank you for asking, and for caring!

I just read your comment from last year about that move. It sounds like you went through quite an ordeal. That tenant is cruel. Might have had their reasons, but it still was a cruel action that's hurting other people. And the social service people just seem stupid. I giggled when I read your remark of them needing a GPS to find their own rear end. :) I hope it all ended up well. @@katsujinkin60
Funny thing is being born and raised in NYC, I haven’t been to Central Park (to actually enjoy it) in probably 20 years.
