  • In this episode of HUNTR Podcast, we bring on our friends Eric Reger & Angelo Testa of Eastern Woodlands to talk about our roots as outdoorsman. Everyone starts somewhere, whether it be small game hunting, trapping, or the early days of chasing whitetails. Eric and Angelo do a little bit of everything when it comes to being outdoorsman. Going back to the history of archery, they have found many ancient artifacts such as old arrowheads, fossils, and even human remains ranging back to 1500 years ago. While chasing whitetail deer is their passion, they also show a lot of interest in trapping for animals such as fox, coyotes, and more. Overall, just being in nature and practicing conservation is what keeps them going. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this episode as the guys catch up and talk all things outdoors.

Luckily happened across this podcast. I'm from Fayette City, which they guys in this video would know is just down the road from the "famous" albino lived. I have hunted the 28 acres of land that was this bucks home for many years. I had 4 encounters with the buck while in the stand. I messaged my buddy (the land owner) and said, "I have the albino at 45 yards and closing in" " can I take him?" To my supprise he said "ya, sure!" followed quickly by the message " if you NEVER want to hunt my property again!!" I watched him walk by at 15 yards. Most spectacular sight I've ever experienced in the hunting woods. Shame he was poached by a guy a few houses down the same year.

Jared, not hating on you but you interupt your guests a lot. Many times in the middle them making a point and they get cut off with another question. I may be alone on this, just trying to help. I do enjoy the podcasts and wide range of topics. Congrats on the big buck already. Trey

Keep it up Jared. The interruptions with movie references is part of the show. It would be weird if you didn’t do it. Just like it was weird when you didn’t have a hat on hahaha. Get Brett Joy on!

He gets excited and can't help it. If he couldn't speak during a deer conversation for 10 minutes.... one of his eyes might pop out of his head lol

An episode with Keith Snider from Southern Ohio would be a great one if he would be interested. His episode on whitetail cribs was one of the best.

Piebalds probably are one of the coolest things to seen. I live in Southwest Washington we have Colombian blacktail and we have a few running around every now and then. Some look like somebody threw a bucket of paint on them others just have little patches and chunks.

Just came across your channel and enjoy the hunter/hunting banter. That said, this may be crazy, but I think my German Shepherd and I may have ran into you two in Osage County, KS shed hunting this spring. Of course, it could have been two other fellas crazy enough to drive from PA to KS to shed hunt. 😂

Absolutely right about big woods mt bucks! They want to be alone 99% of the time. That’s why they get to 6, 7, or 8

I was going to say it's a family event when I go down to my little small hometown and Kansas they'll take 4 to 5 jacked up trucks out and go find coyotes in Fields and straight-up run them down it's quite effective honestly😂 and it's funny you did that in the state I live in they would have you arrested and I'm the news😅😂

I’ve been slacking on comments the past two weeks but I like bringing in those local/regional guys in and I got another bear on a property I got mine off of last year and I’m curious to see if I can get close enough to him in bow season. Question for Jeremy, is there any studies that show bear are more of a predator to fawns than coyotes? I’ve heard that by some people and maybe they are just talking out of there ass and they are just saying that lol good pod boys I love Tuesday evenings!!

      Bears are opportunistic fawn predators

@@easternwoodland okay cool, you guys seem to be really in touch with trapping even though it’s fallen off the deep end, I loved checking traps in middle/high school before school and still do beaver trapping on our property to try and keep the numbers in check
