I used to only buy samsonite suitcases, as they were the only manufacturer who made suitcases without zippers. This in my opinion made the suitcases more secure, it now seems that they are now like all the other designs, so i can not see the advantage of paying the extra costs of this brand.

They are still producing luggage without zippers such as Magnum or S'Cure. I cant say about zippers on their modern lines but I have a vintage Samsonite that I use since 90's and its zippers are the most smooth and robust zippers I've ever known.
