    I salute you! I've been teaching maille for 14 years and I have to say that you were very brave to use such small rings in such a tight weave, on camera! Your fingers did not get in the way at all. What a great video!

      She is a great teacher she tells you when its going to get tight. I am sort of a beginner but i have been brave enough to tackle more complexed designs, i don't let things get the better of me. Force of habit for me, i am afraid. I learned from Yvonne Kennedy formerly Yvonne Williams of Back to earth creations she is more beginner friendly teachers. But i have been watching deb now for about 5 months now and i think she is also a very great teacher. Chain maille has always fascinated me how you can use a bunch of rings to make such beautiful jewelry. most patterns i have found look more complexed than others but the history of chain Maille is very very old and it has come along beautifully to keep this art going and i love that about Chain Maille. Great Job Deb!

    Thank you for the explanation of the differences in cabochon sizes. That really helps a newbie like me that haven't figured out things like that yet. You are great! Thanks for sharing

      Aussie Maille I am expecting my fourth box of the Back Catalogue Subscription and am becoming increasingly more skilled. Everyone loves my bracelets and one lady may become a new subscriber! Thanks for making it available and affordable to us in the US!

    Ви така класна. Я прямо закохалася в цю техніку. Хочу спробувати і себе в цій справі. Обожнюю щось створювати своїми руками. Бог мені у допомогу.

    Just completed this weave....and you were NOT kidding about that last ring almost getting the best of me! Didn't cuss at you though I did say a few choice things about the rings LOL Thanks a bunch for demonstrating this weave the resulting pendant is lovely. The cab I chose had a pretty obvious flaw but the chain made it look like it was intentional or at the very least part of the design. Love it!

      @@AussieMaillers Soon as I can get my daughter to take a pic I will :) I'm going to torture myself with a different style of cabochon....I think I have too many rings and not enough sense sometimes. LOL

    Deb, Isn't this the original Chain Maille they used in the medieval times as tunics for the soldiers it looks like that weave of Chains. I just looked at the weave and it looks like the one on the tunics that they made back then.

      If you are talking about the European 4in1 weave then yes, that is what armour was made from.

    Get close up or use a big ring to show how you do the smaller ring

    I love this video. I'm wondering if you can use this to wrap oval cabs also like a 25×18mm cab?

    • @gensmith7532
      @gensmith7532 4 роки тому +2

      I think you could if you use Deb's method of measuring with the paper strip. You'd have to adjust the rows for the thinness of the cab. There are a lot of good points in this video!
