I really loved SiEun as an actress, she could play both main roles and grey characters well. It sucks that jype stopped their district of idol-actors and she had to join StayC
It sucks??? That's actually a good thing. At High Up not only is she an Idol, but she's also an actress, she gets the best of both worlds. I don't see how that's a bad thing. What would of have really sucked, is if she would of have been one of those lost talents where after JYP closed their acting department she would of have not been picked up by another agency.
@@themastermind5638 I'm happy where she is currently dear, I meant in a sense that had she debuted in jyp then there were chances of even better promotions. Don't get me wrong, StayC is a well established group now but sadly isn't as mainstream as groups like Aespa, NewJeans, Fifty Fifty, etc.
@@Tooba-K123 See, here's the thing, besides Fifty Fifty, the other 2 groups you named literally come from a big company, so of course they are going to be more mainstream then StayC. However, StayC is also a very recognizable group, they literally have more music show wins then Aespa with 17 to Aespas 15. in JYP Sieun would of have more then likely only being an actress since that's what she was in JYP for only. Her being in High Up, is what led her to explore her singing talents which is why she became an Idol as well.

I'm not dissing on nmixx talents, but it seems Rado composes better songs than JYP did for nmixx.
@@Tooba-K123it’s unrealistic to expect stayc to be as successful as them and fifty fifty got a viral hit, biggest kpop song in a long time but their company ruined it. stayc may not be #1 but they’re under a company who promotes them well and gives them good music.

Sixteen? greatest survival show? they had some of the contestants sleep in rundown apartments (with literal poop on furniture), they had them go around promoting themselves on the street because no one was watching the show, the less popular trainees only having access to training facilities at night (leaving them w even less sleep) and getting far less food than the more popular ones… sixteen was anything but legendary. sure it created one of the biggest and most legendary ggs, but the show itself was def not legendary.

Man why JYP ent didn't just debute her as a soloist is the million dollar question. She went from JYP to YG (Black Label) and she's killing it. Love her new song and please Black Label this girl needs to have her own soloist concert.
They don't handle soloists well. If you want to debut as a soloist, its better to debut with a different company other than JYPE lol
JYP is always all about groups, however she's too overbearing to be put in one and JYP knows it. She's meant to be a soloist in other labels where she outshines no one.
@@_saesae_1 their marketing strategy doesn't fit well with solo personality, SM (and now BL as well) are better at handling solo artists. She was almost debuted on Twice and ITZY but somehow didn't make it despite being popular at I.O.I as well, and I'm glad she went to a label that fits her best. A lot of trainees are stressed when they're not debuting after getting so close to it as well. Thankfully she's still friends with all of her ex trainees and teammates, it's a win-win in the end
@@NdoeliciousWrong she didn't almost debut with TWICE, only with Itzy, she joined SIXTEEN and unfortunately lose(was hoping for her to win), if she didn't left JYPE she would be in Itzy right now but she did and is now doing good as a Soloist.

@@uc6758no..its not like jyp letting them go..eventually when jyp has decided to debut a group, they always promoting their other trainees (who didnt get to debut) to another company...its a way to help the trainees achieve their dream. In this case, high up ceo is friends and also producer for some of jyps groups. Therfre, park jin young offers sieun and j as well as yoon to the ceo...

@@ninewice Somi has always been in the line up and they even had pre-debut photos. Yuna replaced her eventually when she left and decided to go solo. Mashiro was in the Girls 2 Team that appeared on SKZ's survival show so she's possibly one of the trainees which JYPE considered to debut in ITZY. For Sieun, even though she's an idol trainee under JYPE, she's mostly focused as an actress during her years with the company. And as for J, she's training to be an actress.

@@onjoinp9566 J is a very good idol. I think she's as good as other jype artist today. But jype may think she isn't fit into nmixx or other jype groups so jype sent her to high up which is fine and there is nothing wrong with that.
And i know how bad the chart of jype groups today. Idk what all divisions of jype (except division 1) think when they give theme and songs for their artists. Its frustating (for fans and to some extent to the artists), but at least they still sell a lot of albums, merchandises, and concert tickets. They still get a lot of money from that.
