Her English it’s simple amazing, the way that she talks 😍
My teacher to speak of the form simple, that i understand very well, a big prof. Thank you Alisha!
This is a very useful video, many of my students ask me this question and it is vital to know if you want to pass an exam. It may be useful for students to know that ‘restrictive’ and ‘non-restrictive’ can also be called ‘definite’ and ‘non-definite’ relative clauses (just in case you see these terms written in a coursebook)
Brilliant!!!! Thank you for this lecture!!!
Wonderful class!
I understood everything and found that this rule for the use of "that" and "which" is exactly the same in Portuguese, including the use of commas in sentences with "which".
Great class!!!
Great lesson as always! Making difficult material clear.
Yes, doesn't it. I was confused but now it is clear.
You made it very simple. Great work!

I thank you very much for your lesson, it,s very helpful.
I,ll wait for the next one. Greetings.
Perfect lecture. Thank you!
For me, the last two examples, which are "the lesson, which is being recorded, ..." and "the lesson that I just taught ...", make me more understand than the previous examples.
It's clear that the speaker doesn't really need to explain that "the lesson is being recorded" because the listener can see that. On the other hand, the speaker must explain that the lesson is what he/she just taught to direct the specific lesson meant by her/him.
Thank you ❤
Your lesson is so helpful 😊
Totally excellent!!!!!! I really appreciate it!!!

It 's a good explanation, though sometimes it is hard to use which/that in complex sentences.

Hi ! I’m a new subscriber to your channel :o) Your lessons are awesome.
Could you please tell us when we can use That instead of Which or Who ?
thanks a lot 😊
Your explaining tachnique is very good,😄😄
Thank you. You best of the best :)
Great explanation ❤
Thanks, i got it !
It's a nice lesson.
tomorrow I'm having my English exams and I had a lot of doubt on this topic but I think I'm really lucky today for that reason you have posted this video on this topic, thanks a lot
I think the comas are the key. If I want to give extra information I have to use "which", if I want to point what I am talking about, I have to use "that".
Great...!
Yay Aisha 🙌, Thank you for the session. 👍
Thank you
Thank you so much, teacher Alisha! Now I know the difference between That and Which 😁.
the best teacher in internet!!
What if we're asked to fill in the gaps with which or that, is it correct to use which in the second EXAMPLE u provided? I think 'which has a tennis court' is an essential information and it cannot be removed without leaving an ambiguity concerning the school meant. If fact we can use both which and that in restrictive clauses, but I am just asking about the placement of the commas and about u saying that it is NOT a necessary information. Thank u.
Thank you....................
I LOVE YOU
Very good Alisha!
Thank you 🤓🤓🤓🤓💖
Superb!!

The difference between who and that is the same?. Very interesting class, thank you
Thank you for everything
I have one question, what is the difference between restrict and limits
Tea, u were wonderful... thnx
Good 👍
Thanks 😁👏🏻😬
it was always stuck in my mind but now it's not thank u so much ma'am
Thank you for your interesting lesson, but I don't understand the difference between the two phrases : The car that/which I bought ..... if I delate the reltive clause , the phrase is the same. How can I decide if using wich or that?
It depends on what you want to convey. The car that I bought...means you own more than one car, while the car which I bought...means you are just providing some additional information.Hope this helps=]
Nice class mam
Mind blown 😱
Dear Alisha, thank you for the lessons. I want to know if there should be a comma somewhere here: "This demonstration shows that measurements taken on the image of an artwork are reliable provided that the image complies with the original shape of the artwork."
Superb ❤️💕💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️ lesson
Thank you, but a have a question, i was reading this sentence "use the past sentence to talk about things which started and finished un the past" and i noticed this characteristic, it use "which", in this kind of situation how can i recognize when to use that and which?
Thanks
Great! 👍🏻. Just need a big words on the white board! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hello mam
Would you please help me clarifying the following confusion??
Which pens do you want to buy? Or
Which pen do you want to buy?
which one is correct? Or both are right
Tq Mam
Hi, sometimes we can omit that however we can sometimesuse use that or witch and the meaning does not change
I think telling second-language speakers to remove the clause to check whether the meaning changes is unhelpful, unless they already have a strong grasp of the language. For some languages, eg Japanese, the meaning would translate the same in the “car having trouble” example.
I think more, clearly worded, examples would be more helpful. And adding pictures to help imagine the different situations would make a big difference to the viewers’ understanding.
May plz help me!
Eg)The building which/that was destroyed in the fire has been now rebuilt .
Mam which is correct option : which or that ????
Hi, Alisha would you mind explaining Which in this sentence is for adding or necessary "previously in my life i tell my mother i'd be happy not to marry which i think she was fine with"
Thanks a lot for your time
This presentation would have been much stronger if it had taken account of the fact that many admired writers use “which” to introduce restrictive relative clauses.
Para quem fala português, that é o equivalente a oração coordenada restritiva, e which equivalente a oração coordenada explicativa.
Obrigado
