Can we take a moment to appreciate a church singing a Black Sabbath song!
For all of the satanic imagery in their title track, Sabbath also has one of the most Christian songs ever in "After Forever".

This is so awesome, I got a little misty myself watching this, Ozzy, the prince of darkness, in a church having a choir singing one of his masterpieces to him. Fantastic stuff, Ozzy we love ya.

The best ballads are from Rock and Heavy Metal bands and all of Ozzy’s ballads are Epic and beautifully done.

Truth is Ozzy was so amazing at writing lyrics that Tony Iomi once said that he and the band would get together and play a riff they had come up with and Ozzy could make up the lyrics while they were playing.
@@williamleckrone1628 Geezer wrote 95% of the lyrics for Sabbath! Ozzy put the melody behind them!!
Ozzy was pleased whenever he first walked inside the church.
I could see it on his face.
Don't let John Michael Osbourne fool you. He simply has an image he must maintain. He is a very spiritual man just as his father was. Who actually made the crosses that all 4 members of Black Sabbath still wear to this very day. And not trying to be a know-it-all but it was the record labels who would insist there be satanic imagery on and within the album sleeves. Mostly unbenounced to the band nembers.

@@lilmike2710 I've read in his memoirs that when they got the attention of local cultists who were attracted to the occult charade the band was in, they tried to invite the Sabs to their black masses; the band wanted none of it and instead trolled the satanists by playing a sardonic "Happy Birthday" in front of them.
@@blakegriplingph Yes I read that 🤣 in one of Iomi's books he said that while the cultists were outside in their candle circle or whatever that Ozzy would go and blow out their candles. 😆
@@lilmike2710 Ozzy went on to state that while Anton LaVey of the "Church of Satan" celebrated the release of the Sab's debut album, the band thought that was bollocks and Ozzy theorised that LaVey was more into the debauchery than anything else.
Ozzy did write "Satanist" as his stated religion in an immigration questionnaire when he first travelled to the States, but that was more of an immature joke on his part than an actual faith he is practising. He seems to be having shades of agnosticism these days but he is an Anglican from what I know of him.
The Prince of Darkness is but a tile. Ozzy is without a doubt a true child of God. Messed up!? Who isn't but in all he does if you pay attention he always gives the Glory to the Father. God bless you Ozzy and Family. If anyone ever truly deserved to be Knighted Ozzy it is truly you! God bless you Sir Ozzy!

@@stacy3065 hell i cried real bad when i heard Stevie Ray Vaughan had died in a helicopter crash and when Randy Rhodes died when the plane crashed into the bus ...but man Ozzy is my hero ...my high school picture in 1985 ..i am in the bleachers with all the class ...all of them just sitting there ...me i am in the back throwing up the devil horns sign with my hands and sporting a Ozzy for President shirt wearing shades ....ever since i heard him with Black Sabbath i knew he was a born Rock God ....
I dont even want to imagine that, I never had a chance to meet him and yet I feel broken thinking that he will die one day. His music was there for me when my mind was going to dark places and I loved to read his book 4 times in a row.

Ozzy's ballads are SO UNDERATED. A lot of his songs are underated due to songs that are main streamed. Listen to Diary of a Madman and you'll find songs that aren't mainstream, but equally as good. Same with many of his albums, songs that are mainstream are great but equally so are the ones that aren't.
If a song can move you to tears or make you cry, then you know it is written truely from the heart. Ordinary Man is another one that pulls at the heartstrings and took me three goes of watching the video till my eyes were dry enough to get passed the part where Randy is featured and Ozzy’s reaction. Another masterpiece that will never get the recognition it deserves!

Thank u Tina for posting Changes video. In 1970 my husband+I...+7 other friends went to Black Hills SD for our Honeymoon. We checked out a bar in an old Mine shaft-great acoustics! When us weird hippie bunch walked in t band was playing Iron Man, 1st time we ever heard t song. It was an absolutely fantastic+so was the Honeymoon! Ozzy will always be part of it. Great place to hear that song. That memory never fades.🥰🎆✌
