Tell me more. I’m on a walk with Christ and I’m embracing my natural beauty, I’d like to know more about your journey because there’s rarely people like us
Okay so I can completely relate to this beginning of the video where you said you wore your hair in protective styles all the time and when you took them out you had no clue what to do with your hair. That's is definitely the reason why I quit protective styling with weaves braids and wigs. According to your video I am doing everything right thus far and seem to be retaining length!
Well my dear you don't have that much hair so you can wash it every two to three days if you had waist-length hair then it's a different story and then it's the conditioning in the oiling and the hot oil treatments and making sure that your hair is well moisturized but you don't have that much here as of yet when you have waist length or bra length hair it's a different story you may not be able to wash it as often just take care of your hair protective styling is in for you because it appears that you have very thin strands and you have to make sure that your hair doesn't get dry brittle and break cuz you want to retain length and you're not going to retain length if you don't moisturize and take care of it
I guess I just needed someone else to say it but yeah my hair wants to be washed by like the 3rd day. I also decided not to do protective styling add of last November because PS was thinning out my hair and found my hair did better without it but still needed more. Thanks for the video and the reminder to listen our hair. And I agree your voice is very relaxing lol ^_^
Ha ha thanks on the relaxing voice I guess I get it from my mom she's a counselor. The wash every 3 days is not an absolute sometimes your hair might hold moisture better then other days depending on the weather or products so like you said listening to your hair is the best to do!
Just saw this video first time and thank you for your positive feedback. I never have time to blow dry stressed or do anything to my hair. But I appreciate our positive feedback on our hair. Bc girl this 4c I have is something else and your right my hair is my hair, it’s unique not like anyone else and it’s nice to hear someone say your hair is beautiful. I wear my Afro almost everyday and most times I’m embarrassed and want cut it out but I’m going to keep focusing and keep my hair up in my protective styles. I don’t blow dry it I let my hair air dry and I don’t add any heat. Have a lot breakage but I think it’s bc im postpartum but thanks again. Great video❤️🙏
I haven’t had protective styles in over a year , Just been wearing puff, fro, 2 braids trying to just maintain what I can and I know it’s been growing healthy and ppl always tell me you have nice thick beautiful hair.* have a blessed day
You've been growing your hair for two or three years what were you did you shave your hair off because for two or three years I think that you should have longer hair all your hair is just growing very slow or you just having a lot of setbacks but I would not take advice from you because I don't see where you have any grocery tension so I will have to buy past your video until you have a more positive video showing that you do retain length
I wash my hair on Sunday and co-wash on Wednesday. I also use ACV only once a month (the end of the month) to completely cleanse my hair and use benonite clay once a month(the beginning of the month).
I think there is true confusion of what actual protective styles happen to be. Too many people think that means your hair is never out. That's false a protective style is whatever style you wear that protects your hair. So if you place your hair in a bun, ponytail, etc. in the morning. Then at night moisturize, and twist it up for bed. That's 2 protective styles, you've worn for the day. There is no reason that you should have to wear them constantly. You can enjoy your hair out as well, its not supposed to be restrictive.
Yes totally think that PS with your own hair avoids a whole lot of issues esp with moisture since you can easily take care of that rather than go around a weave/ added hair.
Yup at least 1 wash and 1 co wash but I never do wash-and-go in the winter. I would set in rollers or braids twist ect and dry under a "hooded" dryer (The soft ones that attach to the blow dryer)
Hello have you tried Curly Proverbz Super Hair growth oil? it's awesome 6 friends and family members have been using it me too and its awesome hair growth is amazing check her youtube channel out also I use her strengthening hair spritz. Like your hair style.
I have! I have! I've been using it for about two months. I cut 1 1/2 inches off my hair due to single strand knots the week i started.. went to clip the ends two months later and Holy Cow my hair seemed to be longer then what it was prior to trimming. Its awesome!
I don't protective style. I wash my hair almost daily. I don't blow dry. I won't ever be straightening my hair. And I ain't sorry ;)

Sooo true. My hair does exactly what I want it do because I have regular access to my hair. And thanks your hair looks good too.
Yes girl! I know its not conventional thinking but it works for some of us!

Since I have locked my hair I only wash and that's it. Its such a relief to never have to do anything to my hair!

Yes but they always fall off half way through the night. But at least I try.
girl thanks so much for this!! This is so helpful!
aww you're a sweetie! have a blessed day
Thanks so much you too!
You're sweet 😁 but it seems like everyone thinks protective styling = weave??? I protective style with my own hair! is that okay?
Yes totally think that PS with your own hair avoids a whole lot of issues esp with moisture since you can easily take care of that rather than go around a weave/ added hair.
