It's hard to believe it's been so long. What a lovely ride it has been so far and how wonderful the road looks ahead of us.

My how far the reviews come since this. And yet, as fantastic as your newer reviews are (I never miss one) I always come back to the early reviews every so often. Long live the Ralfy reviews! Truly a high spot in my week. And that's the truth!

Ralfy. Would love to see you do a longer re-review of this whisky. Also, try Gooderham and Worts if you can get some.

Nice review! my father was the founder of Glen Breton (Bruce Jardine). I remember unloading the casks off of the trucks when it was first starting. Thanks for the review!

Brilliant! Just starting my whisky journey. Enjoyed a few reviews so went back to the start. Great to have someone share their knowledge and love of a wee dram without all the pretentious bullsh**!
    Thanks Ralfy

ralfy, this early review just popped up so had to watch. Great seeing the early, faster pace and then the evolution to the 2020s. Cheers!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Glen Breton Distillery near Inverness NS this summer and it was beautiful to say the least. We took the tour and tasted the 10, but I bought a 15 called The Glen Breton Ice and it's even better. Glad you liked it!!

It's odd seeing Ralfy allowed in the upstairs and the light. I only started after he got exiled down to the whiskey basement.

I’ve visited that distillery and drank a few bottles of the 10 years. I thought it was ok but also noticed it was noticeably inconsistent in taste, got one bottle with an extreme green apple taste once and never bothered buying it again. Thanks for reviewing it and calling it best non-scotch single malt.

I live in Toronto and haven’t tried this yet! There is a decent one from St’ John’s, Newfoundland called Signal Hill. Very vanilla forward and quite sweet, but the silky mouthfeel is pleasant. Like a thicker, sweeter, Aberlour 12.

Warm greetings from Belize. Started watching your videos a few months ago and am hooked. The genuine and unpretentious manner in which you present is absolutely refreshing and enjoyable. I've learned quite a bit in the short period and look forward to learning much more along this journey we call life and whisky.
If you ever want to run away to the warmth of the Caribbean, come this way and do look me up. Until then, have a Maltastic Day and keep on Maltiplying your videos!!

How things have changed. A 3 minute video and not going too much into nose.
Oh, how things have changed, 15-20 minute videos and all about nose taste and "intrinsic quality". Keep up the good work mate! May you have many years of whisky reviewing to come

Just as I subscribe to your channel, and being from Canada, I wonder if you will review any Canadian whiskies, and then I find this, your first review. Not only that, but I actually have this bottle in my current collection - almost done. Can't wait to see if you've reviewed more Canadian whiskies.

I am from Nova Scotia too, and have yet to try this whisky. I have heard nothing but great things. A lot of people in Nova Scotia aren't keen on doing this out of their routines, so I can see this taking its time in developing a fan base here.

Just found your channel and this is the video I watched first. Not a big fan of the Glen Breton myself as I find it too sharp on the alcohol and too weak on flavour. To be fair, I’ve only had the 10 & 14 y.o.. Being in NS, I visited Glenora once a year for the past 8 years. Yes, even went during our province’s pandemic break. Every time I come away disappointed with the tour but full of respect for their skills.

Have you had the opportunity to try Glen Breton's icewine barrel cask-strength offering? As far as I know it's the only icewine finished malt in the world, and I've definitely been intrigued by it (but scared away by the $38 for 250ml price tag).

Hi Ralfy. Love your thoughts about the Spirits. Which leads me to a question: Have you tried "Loch Lomond Single Malt Whisky" the blue one. I am truly sorry that i can not provide any further information on the Whisky itself, but the label does not say anything about its age. Keep it up.

Hi Ralfy - How does one develop their nose? When I smell a whisky, I have trouble picking out the individual notes. I have purchased 8 single malts so far, and don't feel like I'm making much progress on developing a good nose, or pallet for that matter! Any tips?

Bought this at bargain a price. Rough, alcoholic, cloyingly sweetish and bitter tannins.... Glen Breton distillery certainly needs some learning and evolving, because they are still very far from a decent, competitive product.
