- Broadcast live from the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C., the National Memorial Day Concert has become an annual salute to the men & women who serve in each & every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
With over 20 years of concerts, everyone in the audience who has served, or who are currently serving, is asked to please stand, & join in as their song is presented.
Never forget the terrible sacrifices made by so many, for so long, in order to continuously secure our freedom.
My mom is a Navy commander, and my dad is a retired U.S. Marine. Always super proud when I hear their songs play.

I am Kiwi born now holding dual citizenship in Australia. Grateful for the American help in WW2, and enjoy your celebration of your forces.
Please assure me you look after your veterans, I have heard so much to the opposite.
This is My Favorite Part of The National Memorial Day Concert
Who has the audacity to dislike this video?!
I'm sorry, but I have enough knowledge of biochemistry, from my many hours of studying, that I can make another you, it would be crude and most likely die in three days, but nonetheless, it would be another "human" with your DNA. Now, who here has the weak mind, mister conspiracy theorist? Take a look at the word theory, it mean "an unproven possibility." When I call you a conspiracy theorist, I am calling you "one whom believes in an unproven, yet possible, conspiracy." The only reason it's even remotely possible is because of Murphy's Law, which states, "what can happen, will happen." But don't get your hopes up, Murphy's Law applies to a multiverse, which means an infinitely low chance of it happening in our own universe.
Maybe there are 19 North Koreans.
***** Hey it's Luka!
***** Hello Kirito
Archangel 777 And what shithole of a country might you be from that gives you the balls to say that kind of shit about the US and its allies?
" Semper Paratus "
- We're always ready for the call,
We place our trust in Thee.
Through surf and storm and howling gale,
High shall our purpose be.
"Semper Paratus" is our guide,
Our fame, our glory too.
To fight, to save or fight and die,
Aye! Coast Guard we are for you!
" The Air Force Song "
- Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun! (Give 'er the gun!)
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off with one helluva roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey!
Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!
" Anchors Aweigh "
- Anchors Aweigh, my boys,
Anchors Aweigh.
Farewell to foreign shores,
We sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay.
Through our last night ashore,
Drink to the foam,
Until we meet once more.
Here's wishing you a happy voyage home.
" Halls Of Montezuma "
- From the Halls of Montezuma,
To the Shores of Tripoli;
We will fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
of United States Marine!
" The Army Goes Rolling Along "
- First to fight for the right,
And to build the Nation’s might,
And The Army Goes Rolling Along.
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won,
And the Army Goes Rolling Along.
Then it’s Hi! Hi! Hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong!
For where e’er we go,
You will always know,
That The Army Goes Rolling Along!
SEMPER
I like how the Air Force one is just called "The Air Force song"

1:33 anyone else notice the Medal of Honor?
Rob Malite Yeah, I wonder who that is. Thanks for catching that. He looks to have served in Korea or Vietnam, wouldn't you agree?
You would think that the Air Force would be one of the branches with almost no Medal of Honors.

USMC Sgt. (Ret) ((At the time of the action, Cpl.)) Dakota Meyer is a living recipient of the CMH. Check out his story on 60 Minutes.
The story also explains that due to the standard SNAFU in the military, 2 others on that day were also to receive the medal...but did not. Their process had to start all over again. You will soon see these 2 men live on television receiving their well overdue medals.
our grade is singing this for veterans day
my band play this for veterans day, with the air force reservist band of the midwest
I am proud and lucky to have been called a United States Air Force Airman.
Thanks Gary.
Each one is what is called a "Campaign Ribbon" Each one symbolizes an action that service has participated in.
The navy is probably the most recognizable song, because of its catchy tune, followed by the army
Damn that makes me proud. Well Done, Brothers and Sisters.

RIP grampies! Best navy captain ever!
Air Force!
Black in the Navy looks familiar....lol happy I found this video.
The order is from least lives lost to most / ARMY THE MOST LIVES GIVEN TO THE NATION
+Luis Velez, No the order is from the youngest to oldest branch.
No hooey Mary Jane, simple truth and if in fact you LISTENED to the man in the beginning of the video you would hear him say from the newest to the oldest.
+73seabee Incorrect. The Coast Guard was formed in 1915. The Air Force was formed in 1947 (it had previously been part of the Army). Since the Coast Guard is presented first, and it's older than the Air Force, it is NOT going from newest to oldest.
+73seabee fun fact, it IS going in order from highest to lowest of the minimum ASVAB score required to enlist. Coast Guard: 40. Air Force: 36 Navy: 35 Marines:32 Army:31.
The modern Coast Guard was formed in 1915, but it dates back to 1790. The order is likely just based off of the song arrangement but the ASVAB score trend is quite funny.
The guy who played Lieutenant Dan in Forrest Gump!
RESPECT!🇺🇸💪🇺🇸
Saving best til last
Blood is thicker than water.
Merci! Friends and Allies forever.
i like the medley of coast guard and navy
than my country(philippines)

Actually by regulation there is an order by which the serrvice song and flags are presented, it's done in reverse order for the concert
Coast guard didn't get any love. Also I'm proud that I served and got a dishonorable discharge. I would do it all again in a heartbeat :')
Anchors Aweigh. HOOYAH Future Navy Officer!
Anchors Aweigh! Future US NAVY HM!
The United States Coast Guard was activated on August 4th 1790. The Navy was activated on October 13th 1775 and thought to be to expensive to operate so it was unactivated in 1790 then activated again in 1797. You got the Air Force, Army, and Marines right.
Semper Fi, USMC also rocks!
Ok then...right on. You have the spirit. The military is definitely not for everyone, but I wish you luck in your endevour to join the CG Aux.
Put this in the UA-cam Search bar "The System ExistentialPilot", it should be the first video, the channel user is ExistentialPilot
ARMY FOR THE WIN!!!!!!
No but I support the Military and my Dad retired from the Navy and other family members were in Military (My GP was in Navy in WWII with E. Borgnine) I wanted to be in the Navy but many reasons why I can't, but I just found out about the Coast Guard Auxiliary. I wish Florida had a State Guard but CG Aux is great fit for me. I'm very much in love with the Ocean. I was in MC JROTC in HS but that doesn't coun't. I think that's why I would cry cause I wan't to be a sailor so bad.
hi,hi,hey the armies on its way
ITS LT DAN, im joining the marines, and my dad is a master chief petty officer in the coast guard
Anyone notice the Air Force veteran at 1:32 wearing the Medal of Honor?
WildBillKelso194 not until you mentioned it!
Navy's got the best theme song.
Lieutenent Dan got his legs back. He should salute the Army
,, THE ORDER IS THE LAST TWO GIVE THE MOST LIVES FOR THE NATION
+Luis Velez, No the order is from the youngest to oldest branch.
+Luis Velez the coast gaurd is the oldest branch and the air force is the yougest
ryan sanders The Army and marines are the ones that kill the enemy face to face . When a casket is carried of a president , army and a marine at each end . places of honor
the coastie are the youngest followed by the chair force the Navy, the Corps and the Doggies. The coasties were a wee not considered a true military branch until after the formation of the Air Force.
73seabee SOO what Coast guard are NOT a combat FORCE , they save rich people lost at sea and catch drug dealers ..
well done
3:20, who knew Bilbo Baggins served in the Army? 😂 all in good fun, thank you to all who have served and currently serve 🇺🇸
