Hi, I love the tutorial. I really wish you would explain how to do a size L-XL in a tutorial. I have a hard time reading patterns why give free for smaller sizes and not for larger..
The pattern she made is very confusing to use. I’m constantly having to come back to the video to see wtf she is talking about in the pattern.
It's not just her pattern it's everyone's they're all for smaller sizes and I just want to look cute without having to create a whole pattern off of someone elses

So....Im not sure what the written instructions show as far as making the pattern larger, but in the video( I think around the 22:00 mark) she explains that when doing the wing there will be 3 shells up top ,2 on bottom for size small medium and for larger sizes you have more wing\for more coverage. with this in mind i just made the wider body longer by continuing it up 4 extra rows. Then when I initially made the wings .I made enough chain spaces to account for the number i wanted to make. I made a total of 7 so I can have 4 on top 3 on bottom and instead of following her placement i just spaced them out evenly. I then followed her pattern to finish, adding in a few extra rows to accommodate the extra coverage and it worked. Just remember to count your rows on wings and make both sides identical. I know it is confusing but I hope this helps some since not everyone can afford to buy a pattern and its also NOT fair to charge only for larger sizes.

I bought the pattern, and for large-xl it says to continue with the repeat of rows 3 and 4 from rows 5 thru 8, but then when you jump to 18the next page, it says starting the upper wing you start with row 7 doing the 3 dc ch1 3dc in the shell and doing the bpdc. Rows 8, 10 and 12 doing the fpdc. You continue this pattern thru row 19. Then just follow the same pattern as for the small for the remainder of the rows/pattern.

Such a pretty pattern! I adapted it for a Smart Doll (24" tall fashion doll) and it turned out beautifully. I used Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread 3 and the yarn was slightly too thick. I had to reduce to 3 shells for the top wing, and 2 shell for the bottom wing. Will try Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread 10 next. Hopefully, I will be able have more shell repeats with this thinner yarn.

Love this pattern so much, doing mine in a size L and this definitely helped as I went along. Definfinitly may not be beginner friendly if following L-XXL but I have no other complains, it was easy to follow and love my top !

Just made this! I added a single crochet border along the wings, and it turned out beautiful. Two things to note, on the strap, I think doing maybe 75 instead of 50 may make putting it on easier, and for those who are larger, I'd recommend 75-100. I'm a solid B cup and, using the size in the video, I found it to be slightly large on me, with some gaping on top of the cup, I'm not sure exactly how you could fix that, maybe instead of doing 13 then decreasing do 11 or 12? Again, I'm not sure

Thank you for the pattern. But you've made alot of videos makinng the same top with the same size . You could've made one if these videos with a larger size . It's hard for L or L plus sized to find good clothes. And almost every pattern we find is not free . It's very unfair
I'm not saying you shouldn't sell your patterns 🤗 but consider making free patterns for L plus people as well sometimes

very sad that just because someone is bigger or has a larger chest they have to pay?!? skinny privilege is very real and quite obvious here. you seem like a nice person and all... but this is ridiculous. if you want to sell or make a profit off the pattern why is it just smaller people who get a free (quite literally) pass? how hard could it be to take 5 extra minutes to explain how to adjust the pattern for larger sizes?? very very sad.
Or even to write the pattern in notes below the video as other instructors do.

Just finished the top and it looks great! It took me less than a day. I just wanted to mention that towards the beginning of the video there is a part of it that glitches out completely and its really hard to tell whats going on.

Hi Shyler! I just purchased your pattern on Etsy. I have made several of your tops from the video, however, in making the XL, the instructions are a little vague for the bottom wing. I am having trouble with it coming out evening and coming to a final shell. Could you please instruct me on how to finish the XL lower wing??? I understand that you said in the video to "continue the same pattern with the extra shells" but it still isn't coming out. Any suggestions that you could instruct me on? Thank you.

How do take measurement for this top very confused what part to measure on my body
As much as I love this top, I wish all sizes would have been either free or paid. I really do not mind paying for patterns, I know how much time goes into this and the pattern is very affordable. But to fully explain the smaller sizes and having other people click on the video and get started only to find out they have to pay for something that others who are smaller than them do not have to pay for felt off. Especially since the video claims to cover all sizes. I don't think it would have taken much time to explain simply needing a few extra rows. Again, I do love this top and seriously thank you for making this video. Next time I'd love a bit more size inclusivity!

I did size 4 yarn with a 3.75 hook, but it is more of a medium/large size. So if you are wanting a size small I would get dk weight yarn.

Just a timestamp for myself lol
Just wanna share the modifications I made for a size L-Xl/ DD chest. I looked at the picture in the thumbnail as a guide because it’s different than what she makes in the video. For the body, instead of doing the 3slst, I just decreased for two rows (still ending up with 6dc in the last row of the body) I kept the same amount of stitches for the wings (11 doubles, chain 1, 7 doubles) but I used the entire length of the upper body for the top wing. I just tried to space out the stitches fairly evenly(ch3 1dc, 2dc, 2dc, 2dc, 3dc, ch1, 4dc, 3dc). Then just follow the tutorial. Happy crocheting!
Super upset that I didn’t see to increase shells for the bigger sizes because it’s written all the way at the end of the pattern.. I wish the pattern was better written. Now I have to start over😩 I was doing soo well
