I was assuming he does this with the shink tubing after its already on the line.... but then he takes a torch to the tip! Obviously not doing that with fishing line on it right? So how the heck does he rig a line through it after its full of rubber?
Nice tip, but not sure i totally buy into the tungsten weights breaking off/snapping the line. It may be true with flourocarbon lines, but whenever I'm using a tungsten weight, im fishing heavy cover with 65-80 lb braid. In those situations, I lose more fish to bent/broken hooks or tearing too big of a hole in the fish's mouth than I do with line breakage.
+TLJ236 No - Stupid Point. Think about that for a minute. You think tungsten transmits better sensitivity vs lead....you really think that? Really? What are you fishing for, minners or tad poles? if a 2+ pounder hits you are going to feel it guys.
+Bruce Clay Thank you Bruce. Feeling the composition of the bottom is what I was wondering about. Also, I asked him via messenger on his Facebook page and he said that it doesn't take away from the extra sensitivity to have the insert.
Aaron Martin is one apostrophe short of GENIUS!!!!!!!!!
I've got everything needed. Going to try this right now.
3/32" heat shrink tube worked good for me. Tried 1/8", but I could not pull it through the weight without breaking it.
Thanks for the tip!!!!!!!!!
If I snell the hook, the tungsten doesn’t hit the knot. Is the insert as important?

Great Stuff
When i tried to do this, I couldn't get the heat shrink tubing to stretch out like Aaron did in the video. Any idea whats going on?
I will di this thx Aaron

i use the bass addiction gear tungstens and haven't had this issues
fantastic!!!
just go to the arts and crafts section and buy the rubber balls used to make wrist bands. just easier then doing all this
truth seeker can you please elaborate more on this ? Is there's a video showing how to do it ? Not sure what you mean
2 Bobber stoppers
Doesn't the heat shrink cancel out the extra sensitive you get from using tungsten over using lead???....
Good point. Why spend the money on tungsten if you don't get the sensitivity?

+Patrick Nail It has nothing to do with feeling the bite. It has everything to do with feeling the composition of the bottom and where you are...

Correction: I asked flukemaster, who also did a video on the same thing. He is the one who answered my question via Facebook
