A really great show open/walk to stage. Love how the opening music and lights distract you from Shannon going to his kit...the boys sounded great on this tour & it was extra special in hindsight seeing Paich...I'm looking forward to the next chapter! 2021 HAS to be better...
Shannon and i used to play for some of the same Nashville acts..Sean Patrick McGraw was one..Never did meet him..Only heard amazing shit about him..Now he has one of the most coveted drum seats in music history...Awesome....
One of my favorite tunes! Steve's guitar is awesome, and Joe is doing good on this tune, but I really miss the vocals of Mr. Bobby Kimball on this tune! Bobby owns it!
Love Bobby ❤, but he's suffering from dementia and cannot do it anymore. Also his voice didn't age well, since the high vocals are extremely challenging and he doesn't stand a long tour. Joseph somehow managed to treat his voice very well and it is fascinating to watch him singing the high parts so safe. 👍👏❤

I am shocked at the great quality of this video!! I assume it is shot from a smartphone, but I am hesitant to say for sure, since the quality is great!
WHAT I COULD SAY TO MAKE THE ROLLING STONE MAG FEEL IDIOYIC AN THE ONES WHO don't even have a clue who they've recorded with THRILLER WHOLE ALBUM AN BOUT 6999 MORE THAN THAT SHAME ON YALL FOR NOT ELECTING THEM INTO ROCKN ROLL HOF GUESS WHAT BETTER THAN ANYONE IN IT THATS WHY I LOVE THE WAY I FEEL WHEN I HEAR THEM EVERYDAY ATLEAST IM LISTEN TO AT LEAST 1 SONG ALWAYS
Very cool video footage on your phone. However this is why I never sit in the front section 4 row at concerts because the audio mix is not as good. Obviously you can tell most of the audio is just the electric guitar and it's hard to hear the vocals and some other instruments. But the visual is great.
Lukes decision to go with passive mics did so much good for his playing. He has been playing a whole lot tastier stuff again. There was this shredding phase which gladly now has passed
Devin Williams i waited in line a hour and a half before show and hauled ass to to front as soon as the doors opened.i got that close in New Orleans too. Waited 3 1/2 hours then. Its worth it tho. My fav band.
Billy Jackson I was at the Golden Nuggent in Lake Charles and was so surprised no one was standing well except for me and a couple other people. I felt so bad. The guys were up there playing their hearts out. I am still stunned.
Kim Redman the floor is standing only at the hard rock. They didnt really have a choice. Toto tore it up and it was awesome. I have two other shows from them on my channel. My 5th time seeing them.(fav band) Everybody was singing.
Man these tempos are a bit draggin but they sit in the pocket just the same. A lot of today's "artists" (using term loosely) could steal a page from these fellas!
Chris Chapman completely agree. I saw them a couple of years ago and was completely disappointed at some of the lackluster tempos they chose for some tunes, particularly Pamela. Sounded about 2-3 beats per minute slower than the record. Zzzzzzzzzzzz
Joseph Williams has a great voice but 2016 the same song with Jenny Douglas Foot was much better. Her voice in combination with the voice of Joseph Williams , thats it !! I do not understand why she isn`t on board anymore. And I miss Mr. Mabvuto, too. I will enjoy Toto on their tour in March (Amsterdam) , unfortunately without Jenny Douglas
Ummmmm .... NO! So you're saying that all these bands touring without all original members are just simply "cover" or "tribute" bands? What a dumbass statement!
Shannon Forest is fine. this band has a flat tire without Simon though. so much push and chops that brought the band to a new level for 20 years. now it sounds like a very good tribute band. that's not even an opinion it's a fact. some people like to hear it just like the record...... I like to hear it better than the record when I see it live.
Billy Mac Sorry but I must disagree. I never liked Simons aggressive playing, I think Shannon has the most Jeff Porcaro feel then anyone they have used since. And I also like to hear it like the recording, if not I can go hear a local bar band hack up Toto tunes.
tjrox they were always a band for musicians to watch. brought me to tears many o time! now it's insipid. and yes Shannon does play Parts like Jeff. Jeff is one of my top influences. Simon was a refreshing shot in the ass for the band. now it's like a boat going through the water with the anchor dragging on the bottom. You can disagree all you want. it's not a live show anymore. I saw it twice. not getting it done
Sounds like you are a drummer. As a Bass player, I like the groove. Simon was a drum machine to my ears. But as I heard the other day: "There is no wright or wrong in Music" just opinions and that's what's great about it. As long as we all enjoy something.
next year will be the 40s and I'm so exited!! I really want to see them on stage, but, they're not even close on what they were like ten years ago.. still love them anyway

Yup
Heard them 2022 a couple of weeks ago. Phantastic show, the guys were on fire. The new line-up is excellent. 👍👏❤
I appreciate These Guy's , even More , Every Time I Hear Them . They Never Get old ....!
Legendary guitarist!
My first thought... What a great video! Shot close and steady!
Thanks for sharing.
Luke is great!!
Toto is great!!
I love how the show opens. My all time favorite band.
Wonderful energy and top form again!!
Billy Jackson, you did an awesome job taping this. Thanks
We were there. They were INCREDIBLE!
Can't wait to see them tonight in Chattanooga.
A sincere thank you for all your sharing...great footage, well-filmed & plenty of Luke up front ! Awesome !
This is exciting! Thanks for sharing this.
Delia Murillo your welcome
Shannon and i used to play for some of the same Nashville acts..Sean Patrick McGraw was one..Never did meet him..Only heard amazing shit about him..Now he has one of the most coveted drum seats in music history...Awesome....
Joseph Williams sounds fantastic here!
Thank you Billy.
This might look like "simple poppy Toto music" but to pull this off with such groove & tightness is NOT an easy task !
Hey man, thanks for posting the ToTo videos! Hope they come to Germany soon!
One of my favorite tunes! Steve's guitar is awesome, and Joe is doing good on this tune, but I really miss the vocals of Mr. Bobby Kimball on this tune! Bobby owns it!

Billy, I was there on the 3rd and also at HOB in NOLA. Did you happen to film the band introductions a few weeks ago? That was entertaining.
John Ingram yes
They on my UA-cam
Lukes decision to go with passive mics did so much good for his playing. He has been playing a whole lot tastier stuff again. There was this shredding phase which gladly now has passed
And those improv solos are just amazing...
Roope Mäkelä its also his shoulder injury which gives him severe pain and he cant and doesnt want to shred that much anymore
my guitar god luke....
so i keep my son's nickname as luke
Where is Simon Phillips?
Johnny Smokestack hes been gone. He left Toto
Oh, God, Warren Ham???????

Hey, might i ask which camera you used for filming? thx! ;)
MatrixSpyware iphone 7 plus
Billy Jackson and there was so distorded sound on the mics? that's interesting...
How did u get that close?
Devin Williams i waited in line a hour and a half before show and hauled ass to to front as soon as the doors opened.i got that close in New Orleans too. Waited 3 1/2 hours then.
Its worth it tho. My fav band.
Apparemment il s'est remis aux Granola.
I hate to ask this question, but was the crowd standing up enjoying the show?
Kim Redman absolutely
Billy Jackson I was at the Golden Nuggent in Lake Charles and was so surprised no one was standing well except for me and a couple other people. I felt so bad. The guys were up there playing their hearts out. I am still stunned.
Kim Redman the floor is standing only at the hard rock. They didnt really have a choice.
Toto tore it up and it was awesome. I have two other shows from them on my channel.
My 5th time seeing them.(fav band)
Everybody was singing.
whats up with simon
Bruno F. Simon left the band.
Who's playing bass?
lilygirl@11 a guy named Shem .
Never heard of him
wtf is that at 4:18

Who is playing drums now ?
143Chippy shannon forrest
Ahh.. He grew his hair out for a new look lol Who is the new bass player now ??
Shem von Schroeck
Great musicians, but meanwhile this is like a Toto coverband. Too many original Toto members are missing.
jeff porcaro is alive haha
Joseph Williams has a great voice but 2016 the same song with Jenny Douglas Foot was much better. Her voice in combination with the voice of Joseph Williams , thats it !!
I do not understand why she isn`t on board anymore.
And I miss Mr. Mabvuto, too.
I will enjoy Toto on their tour in March (Amsterdam) , unfortunately without Jenny Douglas
Roger Kőller I really dont know why they are not with them. Jenny has toured with them for years.
I thought it was to try and keep the cost of the tickets down, because people were complaining.
Who's on the skins??
joseph migliore Shannon Forrest
Billy Jackson thank you!
It seems like Steve Lukather has joined a Toto-Tribute Band
You also have David Paich , Joseph Williams , Steve Porcaro all original members ...
Ummmmm .... NO! So you're saying that all these bands touring without all original members are just simply "cover" or "tribute" bands? What a dumbass statement!
Will Castillo E and lenny castro is back there on percussion. He wasnt a actual member but he was there in tge original Africa vid
Shannon Forest is fine. this band has a flat tire without Simon though. so much push and chops that brought the band to a new level for 20 years. now it sounds like a very good tribute band. that's not even an opinion it's a fact. some people like to hear it just like the record...... David Sim
yes I agree and I liked it. this version of total is like slamming on the brakes.
it's still great but just doesn't compare technically
Yes I agree loses a little punch without Simon! Still a great band all in all tho! Who could take Simons place anyway?
Kimball can't sing anymore!!!
next year will be the 40s and I'm so exited!! I really want to see them on stage, but, they're not even close on what they were like ten years ago.. still love them anyway
