They are handsome locomotives, and their livery suits them well. I have fond memories of them at Kings Cross, thankfully the station is far more appealing these days..thanks for a cracking video 😊
I'm in cramlington just north of Newcastle, live by the railway. And used to take the 91s for granted speeding back an forth. Miss them now as we only have the boring a😴😴😴umers
I like them a lot better than 125's, they're quieter and they don't burn fossil fuels, and they can move faster. They also have more carriages than a lot of other trains, with only 3 or 4 of them. I'm not sure about azumas because I've never tried them.
Can anyone provide a listing of each individual class 91 total mileage please? I would hazard a guess at 8 million per loco for those that have already gone?.
I will miss the Class 91 Intercity 225 stocks as LNER have placed an order of 10 brand new Class 897 Civity Tri-mode units that are to be built from next year. To enter service in 2026.
I really like the livery they have applied on these trains.
They look marvelous! Still a few years left for them yet

I like the new introduction format with the station clips etc.
Thanks - Hopefully more of that to follow 👍
Im gonne miss these when their gone... great video!
And a lot more comfortable than the Azuma
I think you meant 'they're' (the abbreviated form of 'they are')? a computer's auto-correct function often makes this error.
Did Doncaster to Kings Cross on one last Tuesday, much nicer than the Azuma we came back on.
If this was 2/11/2024 I was there ,great to see them and come on one set from Leeds 😃👍
Marvellous video
Gran video 😊
Great video as always 👍
The Intercity 225 Class 91 Mk4s are to be replaced by the Class 897 Civity Tri-mode from 2026.
Great Video 👌👌👍

Azuma are not only boring, but also uncomfortable to sit on for two hours
@@pipandkitty2004You speak truth my friend
Yes often fancy a cheap ticket to York an ride a proper train to Peterborough or donny. The ride quality so superior
Did they ever reach their full potential and run at 140mph (ie Inter City 225)?

I got told by an LNER driver that 91s are going to run up to Newcastle in 7 car formations soon.
At least they cant come via Sunderland
Do you know if there will be a farewell tour for them? 😮
Good question, I'm not sure.
2027 earliest
Bit early to be planning their funeral just yet.

LNER have said 2027 at the earliest for entry into service, but the 225 sets will probably stick around until 2028
Ok. Didn’t know that. Thanks 👍
In my mind, ghey are still new .
Wheres the diesel fuelling point gone 😂😂
Kings x doesnt look right anymore 😢
Looks much cleaner now
The Train are Loud 7 out of 10 of those train
They dont Roar like a deltic but just whine
Nice looking locos but one trick ponies really.
Exactly as they were specified, what were you expecting?
@ They’re fine, but nothing special really. Particularly when you consider their relatively limited usefulness.
