Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on UA-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on UA-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on UA-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Bread was a band for that easy listening ear candy. Everything I Own is a touching song written by David about his father after he passed. Another beautiful song by them.
There's no bad song by Bread❤
David Gates's voice was perfect for these sweet love songs. The ladies loved listening to those tunes when they were on a date. It was mood music to start the night out in 1969.
A lot of couples during the 70's fell in love to the music of Bread! All of their music was good but their love songs were the best! I enjoyed this reaction and I look forward to seeing more!
It's like an adult lullaby ~ who wouldn't want to hear this from the one they love ~
I love Bread. 😊 It's funny how the lyrics come right back to me, after so many years.
Perfect for a 16-year old's ear at the time, and still remains lovely to this day! xo Bread💝💖
This was the first hit. I was a teenager. 15 to be exact. Such great memories.
Bread was the king of "Make out Music" when I was a teenager. Great songs. Nice reaction and they had lots of hits, tho no other #1s.
Bread is a really good group with a big catalog of songs. Love them. Next try their songs If, Diary & more you'll love them.
i was a 17 year old rocker and metalhead in '70 and almost all of my crowd laughed at BREAD then. too soft , too emotional , too much like elevator music. i loved it. david's voice is perfect - amazing harmonies , and top notch songwriting and instruments. too good imo !
Back then, Bread was a “guilty pleasure”. We were not supposed to admit we liked them even though we did. It’s good to see that with time they are getting the respect they always deserved.
@@sandrapeters6064 i'm glad too. i played bass in our high school rock band and to me it was simple - good music was just that. later on it was the same with AMBROSIA - a lot of haters. one of my favorite groups ever.
I agree 100%. I’m metal all the way but still can’t resist David Gates’ voice or Karen Carpenter’s voice. Both have such smooth mesmerizing voices.
@@thehorrorfanx if you are a metal fan like i am then you HAVE to hear LOVEBITES. all female japanese metal band and they are the best band i've heard in about 30 years. they have 2 lead guitarists - midori and miyako - and they are the best duo i've heard in a long time. a next level drummer and a vocalist that will give you chills. and they sing all of their songs - about 60 - in english. don't pass up this chance to hear badass and beautiful - here is a link to their live song 'holy war'. as you can tell i'm really pushing this band along with a lot of other fans in the states. : ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
Will forever love Bread, of course, especially David Gates vocal. Just perfect on every sweet tune these gentlemen had. Beautiful tune...🎶🎤💖
Although he we went to a rival high-school, he graduated long before me, I grew up with his music since he is a Tulsa native. His first band the Accents opened for Chuck Berry in 1957. One of Gates band members was piano player, Claude Russell Bridges, who later be ame Leon Russell. Gates and Russell both have long histories in the music business.
You should check out Aubrey by Bread.
Back in the 70s, we had a saying: If you had the Best of Bread 8-track in your car and didn't get laid, you had bigger issues in play! There was hardly a girl who didn't melt to that tape. Good times.
I use the adagietto from the Mahler 5th, and if that doesnt work she wasn't the one.
I've always noticed, Bread's music, their orchestral arrangements make love to your mind, then drops into your soul, and bursts out thru your spirit. It's passionate (thanks David's tender vocals), relaxing and reassuring the listener is not alone in the experience. Gotta give a listen to "Sweet Surrender", not a top ten song, but it's definitely in their greatest hits!
This is my favorite song by Bread. I wore the hell outta that 45. SO beautiful 💙💙
Some great soft rock.
I was a preteen when they were so popular and I used to listen to their music at night, always made me feel such comfort and peace and sent me to sleep. I was too young to fully grasp what all the lyrics meant ha but also just barely old enough to get the main idea!
One of the most beautiful love songs. That great voice of David Gates. Goosebumps all over. 🎶🎶🎶😍
Large audiences. I have 2 for you #1 Metallica 1991 in Russia on a hot day 1.6+ million people in the crowd. And #2 a Greenday concert at Hyde Park 7/1/2017 playing music over the speakers before the concert with 65000+ people waiting. Then on the speakers the next song plays. Queen doing Bohemian Rhapsody. A 65000+ singalong and the whole crowd sang it perfectly by memory and each part back and forth to each other.
Just a beautiful song from the mellow-yellow summer days of 1970. Claudine Longet did a great cover version on her 1971 album "We've Only Just Begun".
So cool listening to these AM transistor radio tunes on high-quality headphones ✨️🎶✨️
For soft rock their songs have the best drums and bass
This was the 8 track I pulled out while parking at the end of a date.
David Gates is a remarkable song writer. I wore out a few of their albums in college. Love "Everything I Own", and I'm sure many baby girls were named Aubrey after their song by the same name. Blessings all.
I grew up listening to the soft rock music of Bread in the 70's & had their albums. Love David Gates voice. He has one of the most soothing & mellow voices. They had so many hits such as "If", "Baby I'm-a Want You", "Everything I Own", "Diary" "The Guitar Man", "Sweet Surrender" & "Aubrey". In 1978, Gates enjoyed success as a solo artist with the hit singles "Goodbye Girl" (from the movie The Goodbye Girl) & "Took The Last Train".
Gawd- this takes me back to cruising the main drag in the 70’s with the 8 track going -high school days
Next "Everything I own" Bread
Amazing Band. You just don't get Bands making Music like this these days 🙏
❤ your reactions and music choices
Guitar Man is a great song by Bread
“Goodbye Girl” a David Gates good one.
This is such a beautiful song. Bread is awesome. Love your reaction!
THE GOODBYE GIRL. Excellent song, also from a great movie with Richard Dreyfus, with the same title.
Cannot go wrong with Bread.
I just discovered your channel yesterday, watching your reaction to Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and We Are The World. Kudos ! Love your reactions ! Thank you for doing some Bread. David Gates and Bread made music that is like gifts that keep on giving.
Mm. David Gates and Bread were a constant part of the background music of my junior high and high school years. They charted plenty, but the competition for number 1 each week was still pretty heavy, those years in the first half of the 70s. Someone should do a donation request for the song called "If" or the song called Guitar Man, I think you'd enjoy both of them.
(thanks for the shout-out, btw 😇)
❤
Before he was in Bread, David Gates wrote the 1963 Girl Group hit "Popsicles and Icicles" by the Murmaids. (Go down that Girl Group rabbit hole.)
My favorite song of theirs is If
My favorite Bread song is Baby I’m a want you!!!
Need to hit “On And On” by Stephen Bishop. It’s up your alley.
- "Lovey-mushy"! :D
the puerto rican singer mark anthony did a good job covering this song !
I love Bread and this is my favorite …. Thank you ❤
When this came out I was into a different genre of music. The only version I knew was by Ralphie Pagan (obviously a cover).
Pure beauty ❤
David Gates and Bread's songs are pure beauty.
Mother Freedom rocks.
Luv bread . More plez
David Gates' voice is beautiful. Dusty Springfield also recorded this song for a 1971 album entitled "Faithful" that was pulled and not released until 44 years later in 2015, many years after her death. I think it might have also showed up on a deluxe recording of "Dusty in Memphis" later as well. I love her take on this beautiful song too.

Check out Tommy James and the Shondels "Crystal Blue Persuasion" from the 60s.
Do Mother Freedom.
Bread is so good ! in spanish bread means pan !
IF IF IF IF IF!!!!!
Great date song... 😄
💖💖💖💖💖
Nice one ☘️
You gotta be dead not to like bread !
Hey Shawn, here's a new female artist to give a listen, if interested. "Human by Rag'n'Bone Man (Morgan James)" (by the channel: Morgan James) --This song sung by Morgan James is a cover of the original track by "Rag'n'Bone Man" she collaborated with "Post Modern Jukebox" when producing this track and has done so with several other tracks as well. She and "Hailey Reinhart" have some very popular hits from "Post Modern Jukebox" and would be another fun rabbit hole to explore in future, if interested.
You know their music ushered in a lot of babies into this world. LOL.
Please react to If. By Bread, and Diary, and Aubrey. You're the best. Thank you. Until next time stay well and poppin for fresh
