Paul, you have become one of my all time favorite channels. Your narration and time spent for a quality video have created an amazing video. Keep up the great work of continuing to inspire the next generation and inspiring those of us who took other avenues in life but still love aviation. ❤

Thanks, Paul (and Austin)! For years, I have seen photos of "the airplane in the woods" but I have found little information about it...or its owner. Your 20 minute video and meeting/interview with Bruce resolved everything I always wondered about this! Thanks for all of your vidoes -and I appreciate your efforts to share. Best Regards, Bill M. Easton, Pennsylvania USA 🙂

That was definitely a unique home, you’ve definitely got me scratching my head wondering how he got that aircraft out there.
Dunno if you remember me, but I commented on a post of yours saying that I work for another airline (same one as Big Ern) as a ramp agent, and that I was going to do a discovery flight. The first one I did unfortunately was more of a sightseeing tour, but I did one with another aviation school this past Thursday, and was pretty nervous, but eventually started to get the hang of it. It became very calming and enjoyable.
I wish I could start flight school right this moment, but have to square a few health related items so that I have no issue with the first class medical.

Ok, so this was a great video!! I have heard about this guy living in a 727 in the middle of the woods, but you took us there !!! To say he is eccentric is an understatement and an electrical engineer at that ! You and your FOs facial expressions say it all.......and the history of the aircraft... who wouldve thought ..... Awesome he let you climb up into the fuselage and walk on top. Your drone shots were great also. Thanks for video; I have always wondered who lived in that plane.

At 8:30, there's an issue of Airways magazine, at the seat. That issue has an article about Bruce and how he got the 727 to that place. The article includes a picture of him. It was such a shock to see him 20+ years later on this video.
I have that same issue right here with me.
    Excellent video, as always.👍👍

Brand new to your channel. I do believe I seen this “home” featured on HGTV Unique homes a good number of years ago. It is cool in an odd way. I love aviation. Flying is my thrill. I’ve been in small planes 2,4 seaters, and 737 down to Austin Tx to see my son and his clan. I have flown gliders too. Oh how I wish I could go up in a jet (military style) but…I’m not a VIP. I look forward to viewing some of your other videos. Thanks

Hey @My Layover Life, love your videos, been watching for a long time! I am almost 24 and starting my pilot career as I am planning a career change from engineering to commercial aviation and I am working towards my Private Pilots license here in the next year or so. Do you think it would be too late for me to transition to the commercial side or become a pilot and what would you recommend the path I would take to get me to fly with some of the big carriers? If you have a chance, I would love to pick your brain about the career and opportunities as well as some questions about the finances and what you did to make it through it. I am based in Denver so my goal is to work at United so I would love to pick your brain, if you are able! Thanks and keep up the great vids!
