i suggest that you do keep the 2nd floor sitting room as a sitting room. Add a desk with desk chair in the 2nd floor sitting room should a guest need to use their laptop and/or edit their video footage if they are a content creator like you. The shortlet is gorgeous. I remember how you had so many bad hotel room experiences earlier this year when you came back to Nigeria after so many years. Now you are decorating this shortlet with top quality standards which is impeccable. It's nice staying in a clean and modern place. Adding real plants is a lovely idea.

Summer you have really moved back.! Well done!..I always say you find a business (let me not say purpose as its the bigger picture) from whatever pain or challenge you had. I remember how you complained so much about the quality of a couple of accommodation you rented. Honestly, the markets are really shifting from the norm..Why stay in a hotel when you are on a short visit with family and can stay in a short let with all the conveniences? Why own a house that will get locked up for 11 months out of 12 if you reside abroad? If you have good hands, monetise your property. For you summer, it works well, because you are on ground and will be overseeing your property yourself( this is the fear of many property owners).I am sure you will make a good host too :). You are neat and pay attention to details. Well done!

The space beneath the stairs (not the smoking area) you can use it as a small bar with transparent glass then for the area you said you are thinking of making a play area for children please put protective wall or glass like wall by the stairs to prevent small children from falling.

Personally, I would never put live plants in an Airbnb due to health concerns. Some people, such as those undergoing chemotherapy, may be allergic to live plants or prone to respiratory infections. Additionally, kids may pick up plants, play with them, or even put them in their mouths.
Live plants also require a lot of maintenance, and since it's an Airbnb, you want things to run smoothly and focus on generating income. No one has time for high-maintenance plants!
