Sounds like she bonked her sister ship the Roger Blough over the head and snatched her vocal cords!!! The Gott has always been my favorite laker, there’s no substitute for her brute force 19,100hp, even though she was derated from 19,600hp when they swapped her 2 Enterprise diesels for MAC/Caterpillar in 2011... With her new voice, just that much more reason to love her!!!
I LOVE Massive Equipment THIS Major Ton Leviathan is Quite a sight...Yeesh the horn Blew me OUT!! I HAD a train Yard NEAR HOME. Thought the Giant Miles long Union Pacific Trains WERE Massive. THESE Ships ARE Impressive train horns are loud but THESE dwarf THOSE. My Twin Marshall amps ARE no match EITHER.... . Thanks for letting me know what these Lunkers ARE LIKE.....
I suspect you're thinking of the Paul R. Tregurtha, but if unsure you can watch my video that has salutes from 35 different ships: ua-cam.com/video/JFYInGXJZXA/v-deo.html
They can sure hear her coming now! Great video. The sun peeking through toward the end really looks cool on her bow.
Diminished 5th, contrasts nicely with the Barker's perfect 5th.
Yep, the Barker is an Eb and Bb!
He was really showing off out there. A figure 8 outside the piers. Nice!
She's a whopper!🌊🌊🌊🌊🙋♂️ Excellent work sir..
Love from bridlington boatyard England 😘
Thank you!
Gorgeous shots
I just saw her at the Soo on July 1; also at Barbeau, St Marys River.
Man you could hear those things in lake ontario
Right. I heard them in Hamilton.❗️👍👍. Sounded great❗️

What a beauty
A dual horn salute from the Mesabi Miner registered 129.9 decibels on a meter
I need to know that what kinda ship horn is that like what type is it?
What is the name of the ship with a very deep electronic sounding horn ?
Paul. R. Tregurtha, and she has air horns, not electric horns.

Sounds like the Joseph Block!
Have you ever heard the Blough's horns? They're very alike to the Gott's. The block has a similar, but not quite alike. Thanks!
Why do the Seagulls follow the big ships like that?
The propellers stir up fish and other edibles for the seagulls to eat. The seagulls have learned to associate the ships with a free lunch.
1 Long 2 Short I figured it had something to do with fish!! The Gulls have to eat too!!
Sounds more like the Block.
👍👍😎
Mein Gott!
Nice attention grabbing horn!
