Thank YOU for the excellent videos! 👍🍻 I knew over 20 years ago not to own a BMW or Mercedes - was always told, "nothing but headaches"! Ain't that the truth! 😂
Ivan, I could care less about a BMW 750 (fancy problems...) but I watch these types of videos because of YOU - thank you! I look forward to seeing the videos of your efforts on SI. Say hi to Keith and the gang for me and have a good time driving the refurbished XL-7. God bless Paul (in MA)
The Steering angle sensor is integral to the SZL on that vehicle. Mounted under steering wheel on upper column. The clock spring, turn signal, wiper and cruise control stalks plug into the SZL and must be swapped over. Easy job to do but the SZL must be coded to the vehicle after replacement. The steering angle sensor must be initialized/taught in after coding. Made a lot of money over the years on SZL’s across all BMW models.
Just subbed this channel!! I already watched like 10 videos and still watching. Love to watch problem solving and electrical problems. Also DIYer here as well. I fixed few cars myself. I self taught. but wanna learn more about electrical or tricky problems. You and Eric O are smart.. holy crap... I’m a woman btw.. lol. Keep making videos. I love your channel.
Well, that's a blast from the past, lol. Now thanks for the update. Hope we can see update progress on XL7 during your trip to Staten Island. Plus good vids of weird diag and Keith mopping you up, hahaha!!!
Great job Ivan, no matter what the manufacturer!. You may have to work on a Ford Model T to satisfy your domestic subscribers though 😬🤗😬🤗. Thanks for sharing.
It seems like BMW and some other European vechile manufacturers go out of there way to make vechiles unnecessarily complicated, 6 pages of modules is that really required to go from point a to point b
There has to be water in the system somewhere along with some green crusties. Ivan you should of taken a look at the connector. Lol 👍👍👍 very true I would never own or drive one.
Ivan! Bill from Mustang Stables Bensalem PA. I spoke with you in June about coming here for a couple diags/repairs. You said July but July came and I could not get a hold of you. Tried multiple times no reply. You should come here and have Mustang Stables express! Plenty of work please lmk. Good content
Hi Bill! I'm coming down to Philly this Friday for the Super Saturday training event, and am planning on staying for the weekend. Would you be available on Sunday?
Bmw x6 f16 the steering raise and lower stopped working can only hear a click when trying to operate the teliscopic in and out adjust works fine. I stripped motor down cleaned and greased it has started to work again but now both teliscopic and raise / lowering stops after a few testing adjustments then starts working again after waiting a while and turning engine off locking doors and restarting engine or ignition is there a settings I can set for continuous operation.
My bro has a shop only works on euro trash cars... Insane expensive constant issues.. He has newer Rolls Royce, Bentley,Masarati...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ break as soon as they leave shop a code pops up... You need Ista or Inpa software a good source is Bmw doctor Dean he's one for Bmw 's help me maintain my Bimmer.. I use'd a autel 808 after a O2 sensor replace the CEL would not reset after I cleared code I plugged in my lap top and did a readapt on the DME an no codes. Ista is a diag and all you need for repairs it will tell you how to fix plus all torq spec's an repair like a dealer can.
That's been the standard in the USA since the 80s! I've disabled those chimes in all my own vehicles by the way. The only useful one is the "lights ON" reminder :)
If it was my own car (which it never would be haha) I might try this repair. But this was just a diagnosis, and I'm glad that I don't have to perform the repairs or coding :D
Euro-trash and diesel trucks meet my "Park them and sell them" criteria. I would never take the chance of actually driving them anywhere, even if I hit the lottery. It seems people are more concerned with image rather than dependable transportation.
You are right! But here in Brooklyn and SI relatively poor people can drive such cars... they can't afford house for 1.2M, but used Boomer after lease for 45K they can...
For a company named, Bavarian Motors Works, why do there motors suck? A four thousand dollar 40,000 mile tune up, that is not a better vehicle but a poorly engineered experiment, a fool and their money are soon parted.
Thank YOU for the excellent videos! 👍🍻

I love watching you Ivan Keep up the good work!
Being bmw, i would imagine the sensor was not cheap and special tools had to be purchased to fix the dam thing lol :-D.
Beat My Wallet lol.
Can't wait Ivan bring them on
Oh boy Staten Island craziness.

There's more to it than just "going from point A to point B..."
rock had one,got tired of celebrating the lug nuts just to go get a six pack

Yes, the steering wheel air bags is a bit tricky with the screw driver, this is also very common with the E90.
Nice! A trip to the SI Express!! Always a fun time! Must've had a fluke on the BMW from the past... they're never that easy in SI! Lol 😉😉😂😂
I guess I know where to bring my BMW to if I buy one. Seems like Ivan can fix anything.
Really looking forward to it, Cuba! See you at Super Saturday next weekend!

Its nice to have a easy one here n there 👍
Nice job
Thank you Ivan!
That was a great thanks BILL N LINY
I can't remember if this SAS is part of the clockspring or not on this car.
I have a horrible feeling it's on the rack on this model.
and let me guess, to change that you replace the rack, after pulling apart the car starting at the right rear tail light assembly :))
Grasias por Los videos
Want a BMW? Lease it!! you never want to own a BMW.
Travis E, you forgot to add, "and never buy a used one!" It only gets worst!
Nice !
BMW: Broken Mechanisms Within

A+ good job
That starter motor sounds quite loud
At least it turns the engine over!
Got me to thinking... Ever have a 400+ pound customer with a complaint you can't diagnose because you're...not...400+ pounds? :D
BMW...Burns Money Wontanley.
where's part two ?
Ask Keith!
Nice cars but expensive parts!!!
Next time turn it lock to lock with the engine running and it may reset the module.
East bound and down!
How's the clutch in the xl7 ?
Butter-smooth :)
