Love these. Honestly, it’s so refreshing to see semi-recent CODs. The whole “grass is greener” thing is definitely true. I wouldn’t mind a slower few games like MW2 once in awhile, but at the same time I’m having a great time camo grinding on BO6. Also, coming from a long timer, we would to see some of the staple guns you used again. Things like the 2019 SPR, Grau, (FMJ) VAL, and CMAX, Vanguard Anti-Tank Rifle, Cold War Marshall’s, etc. I go back and rewatch those videos a lot, and it would be fun to see you relive those times.

I didn't mind the slower movement/lack of slide canceling. For me the thing that I hated was the visual recoil and the perk system. Other than that it was fine. Infinity Ward is the better studio on the technical side of things, especially netcode and hit registration. Edit: Never mind, I lied. I was curious and went back and played it today, and I didn't like it. It's too sluggish and unresponsive. MW2019 and MW3 are the best CODs for movement. Black Ops 6 is too fast, its kind of insufferable to be honest. There is a balance to movement that they need to figure out. I think Handler is right that the faster time to kill is also better. I really hope Infinity Ward keeps a fast time to kill in their next game.
And the delays / lags between inputs. There's a delay when trying to mantle, jumping and landing delays or slows down all your movement options. A lot of deaths is simply trying to maneuver the map with the very systems and mechanics the maps are designed around, like ledges only accessible from platforming and climbing ladders.
I have problems with MW2's movement, sure, but honestly I much prefer the slower style of gameplay similar to older CODs compared to the hyperspeed, "ADHD-style" gameplay in something like MW3 or BO6

This is my favorite modern warfare for SnD. That slow movement and bad slide makes it feel more realistic. No I don’t like the visual recoil but it does add to the realism. The perk system made rewarding for the players who popped off early rounds.
I’m in a minority here, but something about this game grabbed me in a way previous CODs just havent. Tied with the lower ttk, almost every gun has a feeling of weight and impact that makes them feel very powerful and satisfying.
It sounds like megatron sneezing. It's so over the top haha. But yeah it's cool, and I'd love to be able to choose old hitmarker sounds. I'd probably put the one from MW19 in everything.
I personally really enjoyed this COD like the rest of em, my mindset is they all have something different to offer, from MW19 all the way to BO6 today. If I want to be a Movement Demon I’ll play MW3&BO6, i say MW3 because certain gear does give you even more movement, If I want movement but not so insane but more of a classic feel I play MW19, if I want to slow it down, i play MW2…. I love the differences

Crown raceway, hotel, Mercado las Almas, and the rainy map were all fun to play on search n destroy, people also hated border but just don’t run in mid at beginning and map was fine
I miss using my silly gun builds and they were actually viable. I had the most fun in that game with friends. I also miss my smoke flank routes and no having to worry about enemies being behind you five seconds into the match.

i love mwII theres some hackers at times aim tracking you behind walls(no snapshot) but it feels unique. its dissapointing the cheating stuff never got solved when you realize this game isnt too old mw3 came out too soon. and thats my grips with the cod franchise they gotta let it breath a bit longer imo . feels like im throwing money in the air when none of that ever gets solved.
BO6 could never be worse than this game lmao. Most COD CCs do the exact same thing at the exact same time every year; return to the old CODs for a while to get clicks in the seasonal downtime.
I actually recently got my brother & I back into MW2. We were both so done with omnimovement this, slide cancel that in BO6. I unironically think MW2's slower paced, more grounded gameplay is peak out of all the latest CoDs. Also the gunsmith & the sheer number of customization options are great.
i just reinstalled today, been having fun. Mainly installed to play DMZ and thought id try the multi too. I like slide cancel just hate omni its such a gimmick. Next cods will have wall run and omni, idk if im gonna buy them just for that alone

It would be interesting to know why they thought it would be a great idea to increase muzzle flash and visual recoil to a point we can't see where we're shooting at as soon as we press the fire button (in a game that alerady have poor visibility by itself). It's the "shoot nametags and adjust the aim until you get a hitmarker" FPS philosophy.
I miss this game so much. I was the guy who liked using all these silly gun builds and I'd actually do pretty well here and there. It seems to me people were more interactive and the gun balancing actually made it so I could do well with stupid stuff. BO6 and MW3 just feel like you can't do anything without a meta weapon that kills instantly. I can't even enjoy the snipers anymore in BO6 (though I bet that is partly because I stopped playing). I miss actually having timings in SnD that made sense and being able to use smokes to flank. In BO6, people are behind your whole team in 7 seconds and moving all over the place. Recently moved to Hell Let Loose and games that came out a while ago.

Loved it. Great maps and game mechanics. Felt balanced and more technical focused. You'd get humbled with its movement but nothing Shotzzy couldn't figure out! TTK was a blessing. Ranked was another level.
crazy thing is, I've never gotten to experience this, cw, vanguard and mw19, but based on what i saw, those games are good, lookin forward to play it in the future
I still actively play MWII, HC only and I just treat it less like a Call of Duty and more like a casual tactical shooter. Like when I'm in the mood for Ready or Not or something but don't really feel like dealing with that kinda mechanical intensity. It's really fun peeking doors and clearing with flashbangs like I'm actually playing a proper MilSim game, and that playstyle works more than you'd think haha

Say what you want about the movement or weapon balance, but the MAPS were so good on this game imo... They all seemed to have a lot of effort put into them from a design and layout perspective and I think they really got lazy after this cod when it came to innovating. Hydroelectric played like nothing else, lighthouse was a beautiful change of pace, and the throwback maps were all done really well. Very fond memories from this game, love the gameplay
I'm personally like this MW2, time to kill is fast, slide can't cancel and no movement demon, just pure tactical, gun shake quite bad but ok with equipment
They made it so there was less delay and you could shoot towards the end of your slide, that and dolphin diving, you can still get away with some pretty insane movement tech diving off of counters and random props on the maps
You know what? Since Activision doesn't address game servers, I think I just pretend to play MWII; it just feels tight, and I have a lot of advantages, like strafe jump and tight corner since "Sentinel" are coping from the corner, which I can use drill charge. I think this game somehow gives me "Quake Paradox," so the speaks.
maybe its because its the first cod I've really played since bo3 or because I'm not the most amazing with movement but I really didn't hate this game. actually quite enjoyed it. And ever since mw3 has been on game pass I also enjoy that game (getting bored of bo6 which is unsurprising).

I like the slower movement but to me it was TOO slow especially before they buffed weapon tuning and adjusted the sliding.

MW22 may be a downgrade from MW19 to me I really enjoyed it and it is considerably better than CW, Vanguard, MWIII, and BO6 mp to me.

My Dad got hooked on playing Invasion on MWII. We used to play Rohan Oil and snipe. It was fun. Sad MWIII didn’t give us more Invasions Maps all year.

Not really. It’s completely different from any cod we have ever had in every bad aspect. Bad players seem to stick with this game more
They made it so there was less delay and you could shoot towards the end of your slide, that and dolphin diving, you can still get away with some pretty insane movement tech diving off of counters and random props on the maps

You know what? Since Activision doesn't address game servers, I think I just pretend to play MWII; it just feels tight, and I have a lot of advantages, like strafe jump and tight corner since "Sentinel" are coping from the corner, which I can use drill charge. I think this game somehow gives me "Quake Paradox," so the speaks.
Mw2 was such a vibe it was so fun i played it last week and less hackers then mw3 its very loud

maybe its because its the first cod I've really played since bo3 or because I'm not the most amazing with movement but I really didn't hate this game. actually quite enjoyed it. And ever since mw3 has been on game pass I also enjoy that game (getting bored of bo6 which is unsurprising).
