as much as i want the next great MMO, it being set in the world of runeterra makes all the difference to me. no MMO can top my excitement for the riot MMO
Yup. It's not the MMO per se I'm excited about. It's the MMO's world that we know so well being portrayed outside of our imagination. Making it become real and true.

It does concern me a bit that there were a lot of big names rioters that were poached(?) to make these other studios and games. The reason I'm concerned, is if these large names are jumping ship per say to join projects that have less backing and are a lot less developed, it makes me worried about the RIOT MMO.
Then why would Riot sponsor these companies, that "poached" their own devs? Sounds kinda dumb, don't you think? Also, there are hundreds of people working on the MMO, just because few people left doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem. Not to mention, game is still really early in development.
concerning how greg street left riot's MMO to focus on family and retirement, but started his own studio within 6 months of leaving. really puts into question the the terms he left Riot on
He left work not to stop working, but to move home. He moved closer to his remaining (living family), so he can freely work in a different location, can he not?....Do a little research pal.
@@blame5907 He was leading an entire team you clown, and its not his studio, so no, working from him was not possible, as he had to be on site working with ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WORKING ON SITE....
I don’t know what it is about Riot and MMO’s. Considering they’ve never made one, with their two in development and then many off shoots making their own too. Riot breeds mmo devs.
What do you think of the other mmo's money making strat? We all believe that riot mmo is gonna be f2p but what do you think about Greg's new mmo and the Believer's one?
I can only guess and speculate. I do know GC is a fan of the Free2play model as it lets the most people get into the game (which is important for an MMO) and I would assume Believer to be similar just based on their ties to Riot. But I am mostly educated guessing here!
@@oheyspun thanks for the answer. I wanted to believe that too but i don't know what budget gc has nor the other company so i didnt want them to be sub based. Having to pay sub fee in a 3rd world country sucks 😕. I hope they all can publish them without an entry barrier.
Riot is just bleeding employees. A lot of them are also making their own mmos and if you’ve ever worked in mmo dev, you’de know stealing ideas is very much a thing. I’m rooting for riot mmo for now but I’m very skeptical. Hope we get an update by years end
I love Riot and I love Runeterra, but at the end of the day I love MMO's. I hope at the end of this, at the very least, we get a great MMO. No matter who makes it!
I had a boss, someone who benefited from keeping me working for them, tell me that the best way to get a pay raise was to move through promotion or moving to a new company. Pay raise isnt the only reason, but gaming is just like any other job. People change roles CONSTANTLY.

Yep that's what worries me we can question if he was 100% invested in riot games mmo if he already planned to make his own studio and his own game.

Diablo IV is the ultimate MMO, not boring, and won't be beat by nothin on ur list.
I’ve been playing D4 every day. It’s great. But none of these games are coming out any time soon. Plus, you can enjoy multiple games
