I am setting up my Etsy shop and the billing setup page is not working. I created my shop and I am at the setup billing page, I added my information but I can't advance to the next page. I don't see any errors or missed boxes, I cleared cookies, tried two different browsers, and restarted my computer. I am doing it on my PC. I am at a loss. I can't seem to find any info when I do a google search either and I searched Etsy forums with no luck.
Hi! I’m so sorry to hear about the issues you are having with getting your Etsy shop set up. That is very frustrating! It sounds like you have tried everything I would recommend doing. I suggest reaching out to Etsy support’s live chat to see if they can help resolve this issue. As long as you are filling out all of the required information correctly, you should run into no issues. It could have something to do with your location if you aren’t based in a country that is eligible for Etsy Payments. Thank you so much for this easy to follow instructional video. All was well until I realised, after saving my banner, I had typed Seapatards instead of Seapatcards. When I went back into the shop I couldn't just add the missing C, I could only choose to change the banner. I put up a single photo (which isn't as good as the original) but It will do for the moment as I'd be embarrassed to tell you how long I have spent on this. I'm still delighted to have the know how from your video to redo another day.

Hi Brenon, that was a great video, very simple and clear and easy to follow. My store is looking much better now. Just one thing I would like to do that you did not mention there but I saw it on that page, how do I hide sales so people can't see what designs are selling best? I clicked on it but I couldn't see what to do. I am new and have not made a sale yet.

Just opened my shop today but I do have a question 🤔 I think on the initial set up I clicked as a full time business because when I add a price when listing an item (I've only managed to do 1 as it's getting late and I've only just created my shop!) when I view the listing the price is higher?! I only want to sell as a passive income as a side line - hope you understand what I mean! Have I made an error when setting up initially? x
Hi Helen! Congrats on opening your shop! I'm excited for you! The full-time/part-time seller is just information that Etsy collects and the initial choice when setting up doesn't effect your shop in any way. I'm not sure what you mean by the price being higher; can you please clarify? I would love to help if I can!

@@helenhorley4811 It maybe local sales tax where ever you are in the world , VAT in the UK. It gets added to the price you enter in the product set up.

Hello Brenon its Tom and I was setting up my store policy and came across this policy called GDPR compliant privacy policy . What is this and do I need to have it up. If I do can I get so I can copy it. Thanks again

adding the shop icon isnt working and the default image is still there, even though its the right pixel size :/ how do i fix this?
Hi! I apologize for the late reply. Sorry it is not working for you. Is your image under 10 MB? If it is larger than this, you will not be able to upload your icon. If you still have not been able to get it to upload, you can try using a different browser as sometimes this can be the easy fix. Another idea is to create it in Canva. They have free templates you can use and this will ensure it is the right size: www.canva.com/create/etsy-design/
If still no luck and you are following all of the requirements, I recommend reaching out to Etsy customer support to see what the issue may be. I hope this helps!

Can u do this on a mobile
Hi! Yes, you can set up your shop page on mobile using the Sell on Etsy app. Open the app > click on the “More” icon with the 3 lines in the bottom righthand corner > Click on Settings > Shop settings > and there you can edit your Banner & Shop Icon, Info & Appearance, About Section, Shop Members, FAQ, etc. I hope this helps!
Everytime I click choose file the picture I clicked doesn’t pop up😩 ( and it’s enough pixels btw)
Hi! Are you referring to when uploading your banner or shop icon onto Etsy? Did you save the image as a jpeg? If this isn't the problem, you may have to go back to the basics and try restarting your computer or switching to a different browser.

I just got your email for how to set up payments for Etsy I would like to do free shipping but I heard that Etsy takes shipping cost out of your bank account as soon as the customer places the order which means you haven't got the money in your bank account from the order yet I don't know how true that is please let me know
Thanks for the questions! The only time Etsy will take money out of your bank account is if your current balance in your Etsy payment account doesn't cover your Etsy fees or Etsy ad spend. Shipping and material costs are all being paid to your print provider (Printful), not Etsy. If you set up your price point correctly, your Etsy balance should always cover your Etsy fees, unless you overspend on ads (which you don't need to do right now). You do need some money to pay for your first few orders. You are correct; when you make a sale, the money goes into your Etsy payment balance, where it then gets deposited into your bank account on whatever you set your deposit schedule to. If you're worried about not having the money upfront to pay the material and shipping costs for your first sales, you can set your deposit schedule to daily, but you do have to account for the processing time it takes for the money to actually be available in your bank account. Hi! It should be the same still. What does your screen look like? Are you using a computer or an iPad? If you're on an iPad, you'll have to click on "See detailed stats" in the top righthand corner for the shop manager column to show up on the left. Hope this helps!
