Hey Pat, hope you’re doing well! I know many people have said it but we all miss your videos. You have a great skill of conveying information and your x wing videos are leagues above other channels on youtube. I still watch your videos on 1e and am just now barely getting my fiancé into the game. She’s liking it so far! Let us know you’re doing alright some time! Cheers
Yeah I’m still here. Been thinking about starting up videos on a few different games... notably I’d love to do videos on Unmatched, Marvel United and Dice Throne. Not sure if I’d want to tackle X-Wing 2.0. The game is going through some pretty big changes right now so I’d probably want to wait until they get all of the rules changes worked out. But you never know. The biggest issue is the same as always - just finding time to work on creating new content.
@@thecardboarddungeon8770 Great to hear you’re doing good. I’m still subscribed so I’ll keep an eye out for any new content. I’d been curious what your thoughts were on 2e! I still play 1e casually and have been on the fence with 2e because the cost of upgrading everything I own would cost a fortune! Anyways, take care and have a happy holiday season coming up!
I find the lack of tyrants disturbing. Because of the board control aspect and minimisation of hand churn it’s one of the few deck building games I still enjoy after a lot of plays. It still has some “one card to rule them all” but outside of an early gif hand it can balance out.
Oh I can explain that one pretty easily. I am not a big fan of card-heavy games nor deck-building. I have some of each in my collection but they tend not to get much play.
understandable, having a couple of friends with near photographic memories causes the same in me for any game that minimises player interaction. Tyrants is still worth taking a look at, the board play softens the usual focus on over-optimised moves.
I find it strange that you do not have a single copy of Axis and Allies, not a single edition. I would argue that you shouldn't have that many board/tabletop games without a copy of it
To each their own, I guess. I played a lot of Axis & Allies as a teenager in the 80s. But I find that I enjoy the more recent war games like Kemet, Cyclades and Blood Rage a lot more.
You liked euros, you like dudes on a map, you like combat, and you need family friendly games: You are missing "Onitama" cheap, small, fast, but soooo much bang for your buck, check it out :-) PD: So jealous of your basement...
Great collection! Thanks for sharing! Your X-wing videos have helped me tremendously as a new player. Looking forward to more content!
Thanks! In looking forward to diving into the second edition content!
Great stuff! I don't have that many games, but I do have that same McFarlane Queen Alien :)

Everytime i thought "there can't be more then that"
Then you would pan to the right, and i was just "aaaaawwwweeee geeeez rick.
Haha yeah I have poor impulse control when it comes to buying board games...

Hello Dad
Hi Claire :)

you should live stream Twilight Imperium
That'd be pretty epic.

I've heard of it. I'll look into it.
