The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was a mystical and esoteric society that came into being in 1888. Invented by Freemasons, Rosicrucians, and Qabalists, it heavily informed and continues influencing Western occultism. It functioned like a school, incorporating a fusion of approaches to spiritually, psychically, and intellectually advance Humanity. While that is addressed in my introduction to the Golden Dawn, my viewer, Sees Thunder, suggested I examine one of its central myths. Namely, that of the Fall. In this video, I do just that, discussing Qabalah, the Golden Dawn system, and more. Bro... that outro tune is SIIIICK! Mad scratch game, much respect. Excellent video too. I finally found an affordable copy of the 6th Edition ("Black Brick") of Golden Dawn, although I've only made it to the end of the Introduction at this time. Grateful for the content. Blessings Be. 🖤
Thanks man I really appreciate It! Scratching was my first passion, my firs original love, before Magick, personal-development, and even bodybuilding. I even competed and won a few titles. Then I started incorporating it into music: here's the outro track: peteonthebeat.bandcamp.com/track/as-above-so-below Otherwise, I suggest Golden Dawn Magic by the Ciceros.
@@POTB Awesome man, thanks! For the recommend as well. 😁 I've seen that one before, but the one that really caught my attention was "Self-initiation Into the Golden Dawn Tradition," also by the Cicero's. I think that one appealed to me because of the size, but also the print inside, which was very easy to read, bold lettering almost. The one you mentioned (at least the copy I saw) had lighter lettering. Lol, tiny problem I know, but I'm a stickler when it comes to print. Too many books have small, or light (almost grey instead of black) print. I am quite happy with the Black Brick tbh. It just arrived about a week or so ago, and I shift books often to suit mood, etc. I definitely intend to get back into it at some point, when the time's right. Am even thinking of buying the newer edition also, as it's a beautiful addition. Question: have you ever read (or heard of) "Mastering the Art of Ritual Magick," by Frater Barabbas? Definitely one of the best magick books I've read to date, I'd love to know your thoughts on it. Stay cool bro, have an excellent evening. Or... morning. 🤨 Time, have a great time. 😎😉
The problem is, the gendered point of view. Gendering the supernals as male or female is inappropriate. As a man, you may regard the universe as your feminine servant, but a female practitioner would definitely disagree. so why take a gendered approach at all when referring to archetypes? Genders belong to physical forms so it would only apply on/in the level of Assiah. Does anyone disagree? edit-- lol, i forgot you were a Crowley follower. I guess you guys are forced to view everything as gender because the main technique is sex magic.
Not just Crowley also Dion Fortune, and numerous scholar they influenced. I don't think you can get any higher than that with Hermetic Qabalah. I wonder if anyone disagrees. Thanks for commenting.
@@POTB All I meant here was-- A straight, sex positive woman would be attracted to the opposite gender-- it would rely on attraction via opposites. Remember, Dion Fortune lived a hundred years ago and back then, intelligent victorian women viewed all of mankind, including themselves, as "men"-- They did this because female voting rights were recently earned and they thought sexual liberation had occurred. Today we realize that instead of women earning their so-called manhood-- all "men" must earn their humanity and thus magical practice involves achieving polarity. This is what it means to be "human." Realizing that one's evolved nature is of both positive and so-called negative polarity. Everything is within the "man" that achieves this and the virgin is called that because ritual sex practice is not needed to birth this nature of one's being. On all levels, the supernals exist above the abyss. The abyss indicates death of physical form. We create thought forms in order to visualize the supernals. What they represent-- not how they appear-- is what counts. If you want to make it into a sex act, go right ahead. Please let me know if this technique works for you. I am trying to evolve myself, not score a pot of money so I guess it depends on what you are trying to achieve.
@@jfreeman2927 I agree that Sephiroth is part of your psyche, yet I do believe they are pairs of opposites. My final take on the discussion is this: Insulin and Glucagon are both secreted by the pancreas. Actually, by very similar areas. Technically, they are functions of the pancreas, yet they are also a pair of opposites. One builds the other destroys. I hope that makes sense. Regards.
@@POTB Thank you. I will have to contemplate this. If we uncouple gender from physical form maybe it behaves more like a fluid. If we examine the polarity of water, the unequal sharing of electrons (bi-polarity) creates a dynamism that could mimic sexual exchange-- but it is self contained. Each vessel of the supernal (each sephiroth?) would need to contain the possibility of both positive and negative. This is far from the victorian/jungian belief of female=negative and male=positive. The damage that last sentence has done to intellectualism... cannot be described in words alone. Do I need to invent a time machine so I can go back and kill Carl Jung? what can be done to correct this false code?

Excellent work. I like the fact you incorporate the golden dawn, Rosacrucianism, qabbalah, Jung and thelema in your videos.
Thank you so much! Yes, I believe they go hand-in-hand to a vast extend. One provides insights into the others, etc.
Very good video with deep knowledge , sure one of my favourites!!!
Thank you so much! It really means a lot!

yesss!!! Thank you!
Great content, very succinct, but other videos also go deep. Thanks for making these videos.
Thanks mate! I am so glad you find it valuable!
