  • In this video, I explain how I have made a modification to ensure that the elevator (tail plane) is properly connected to avoid fatal accidents.
Unfortunately, there have been issues in the past with pilots not connecting these properly and becoming disconnected during flight leading to fatalities.

Some of the main instruments fitted were:

    - LX Navigation ERA80
    - PowerFLARM Core with dual antennas and ADSB

Good video! Haven't assembled my Cirrus yet so this will help a lot. Thanks!

Glad you liked it. It goes without saying, but always get someone to check the glider (who knows the Cirrus) before you fly for a couple of times. Better safe than sorry. You’ll love flying the Cirrus.

Whatever happened to the “positive test “ whereby somebody holds the elevator while the pilot tries to move the stick , likewise with the ailerons.

I always do that and explain to the person holding the tail plane to make sure with a good force but it’s better to know it’s connected before the check rather than relying just on that. Valid point though.

I’ll do my best. But the last 20 seconds of the chapter has it in frame. Do you have a Cirrus already?
