Kristoff's contemplation on his past, lost love, and the bittersweetness of memories resonates deeply. It's almost like a universal human experience, isn't it?
I'm a devout Catholic, and I can't overstate how much I appreciate your depiction of "Space Christians" almost all other science fiction uses it as an opportunity for a thinly veiled attack. It is quite refreshing to to be able to enjoy a science fiction story where space Amish are treated with a respectful gravitas, where lesser authors have used warmed over vitriol.
Thanks, Grehghost! Far too many brilliant people have been religious for it to make sense to be anything but respectful of the near universal human instinct for religious thought. You can't listen to Bach, simultaneously call his work ingenious (rightly) and completely dismiss the reality that he would likely consider divine inspiration a large part of the process, if not the totality.
Bach may well have believed that his musical talent was a God-given gift. That was a perfectly normal, reasonable, commonly accepted and widely held belief by the educated intelligensia of the time period he lived-in. He probably also believed that when married couples were not blessed with children - he had 8 or 9 - that was totally the wife's fault. Maybe he believed that witchcraft and slavery were totally normal things as well.
I think the most profound way a story can affect its reader is in finding they care for the characters. The Misfits series absolutely achieves this! Looking forward to learning more of our friends out there….
I ardently look forward to each thursday. Also. What do u get when you cross a dyslexic, an agnostic and an insomniac?? Someone who stays up all night wondering if theres a dog!!!
Thanks for tuning in to this month's audience-selected story topic! This one is an origin story for Juice from "The Misfits." You can check out all the Misfits origin stories here: ua-cam.com/play/PLWl-Jc_I2wPB5Ac8AZvlVyCNBxaof6Nif.html
Thursday is my favorite day of the week. From that morning till the following Thursday I see your characters personalities play out in the individuals that are part of my life. I actually have a friend named Carolina that says things that Carolina D would say.
Your well never runs dry. You touched many aspects of my own life and of someone's close to me. Possible near universal aspects of many peoples lives. . You're unbelievably amazing . from a vote to for that type of story and that story perfectly integrated with the Misfit saga is incredible. . Also the Canterbury Tales like structure of telling ones life story on a trip. ( or also Hyperion like ) was very engaging. I feel like you have more great stories on stand by, and/or you are just the most creative genius around or both. Either way I cant wait for the next one.
Thanks, MrIzzy! Appreciate such high praise 🙏 I only wish I had a few stories on reserve. That way I could spend some time catching up on some much needed housekeeping. I think I'm going to write another story instead, though 😀We'll see how that turns out next week this time!
Where are the maid bots already?! My house gets messy too , and i don't have the excuse of making great audiobooks! Can't wait for the next story. and remember its more efficient to leave the bed unmade!
Good question, MrIzzy! "The Letters" is their shorthand way of referring to the "Lettered Systems," which are so called because many of them were mapped and named with Greek letters before anyone explored the region--Alpha-Orrigi and Kappa-363 are examples. Earth is far from the letters (and the region more broadly). The map that everyone has been asking me for would explain it ... Rowe gets napkin 😂
PE that was a beautiful story. Thank you so much. I was a great way to interweave love and newfaith, pain and fledging faith, disaster and steadfast faith and finally acceptance and true faith. Thank you again my friend.
I binged my way up to date on the Misfits, then turned to Origins and have relished the 'times before', up till this one. Christoph's story was already well foreshadowed from the main well enough to suit me. I'll confess that I was at least reluctant to open this box. I put it off. Until I didn't. I found I didn't want to skip over it either. I finally did, of course, open it. You gotta do that with boxes, either to see if there's really a cat in it or dig deep enough to find some hope.
I very much enjoyed this one and even got my partner to listen. One of the great appeals to space for me is bringing life to the galaxy and I loved that I could empathize with the two sides of the biological needs of spreading living fields vs unchecked biology running amuck. I was raised in a very unyielding religion only to find out it was false well into adulthood but there is still a soft spot for those attempting to live by a code greater than themselves. I tend to think even us nihilist atheists can still choose to give meaning to what we hold dear. Anyway, thanks I am really loving all your work PE Rowe.
Hi @nickifiresnow1931, I do get sad every time I hear of people realizing the truth of religion and then write off God because of it, there is a huge difference between religion and believing in God (and I do mean God of the Bible and Jesus Christ), religion is a human product created by humans to manipulate, control and justify all sorts of actions, to put it in very simplified terms, believing in God is a person's choice or at least to be willing to seek the truth with a open and un-bias heart, when a person truly do that, God will find you, You do not need a religion to believe and trust in God. Regards Anton
This is my favorite. I always say that. One of my favorites.Does Christov know for certain that JahYaySah is gone forever? You know with all the time/ dimension traveling going on.Maybe there is a chance for them yet? Would love to experience what you would do with a reunion.A Christov Jr for JahYaySah . Hint hint
Mr. Rowe. Thank you for this. I really appreciate the time and effort that you put into writing and telling stories. I have been listening to you for the last six months. Thank you again, and greetings from northern Arizona.
I have to get back to that series, Martin! If only I had the time. I have one I've been trying to find the time to edit for weeks! We'll get there eventually, but analytical comments are always welcome 😃
Thanks, Lisa! Fortunately, there's been some first-hand research done by the Misfits 😃 Kristoff's story is scattered in pieces throughout the series (especially in the first episode). There's more to come soon as well...
Is juice one of the 2 young males who left their dad and the mining settlement? They left because they chased the women in the ship that visited their planet?
Thanks, Samuel. Glad you enjoyed! The playlist with the most continuity is "The Misfits" playlist, which is serialized. Also closely related is the "Misfits Origins" playlist that tells the backstories of characters from the main story. "Tales From the West Battery War" is broader, and though they're interrelated, a lot of the stories are stand-alone. And now that I'm writing this, I'm realizing wow, there are a lot of stories on the channel now! Hope you enjoy some of them 😃
By the way, I checked, and this time last year, I had only 20 subscribers. Now only 1 year later it's 20 plus 4K. Your early encouragement really meant a lot to me to help me to keep going! Not stopping now 🚀💫😃

Thanks, Johnny! Rest assured, I haven't completed them all yet. More to follow...😃

Thanks, GreenLight! I wish I did have a few in reserve sometimes 😃 I don't though, which means I do write these stories on a weekly basis.
That's incredible - gotta say that story has it covered for the religious and non-religious points of view. @@RoweLit

I'm a bit lost after this.
I can't recall being told what happened to Teshini or who Kristoff is. Is he part of the Yankee Chaos crew?
Thanks, Martin! Kristoff is Juice. The first "Misfits" episode introduces his story.
❤
😃🙏
An alternative title could be "The Effects of Thirst on the Brain" 😁
😅
Once again, I forgot this is fiction. I was getting ready to research the destruction of his people.😭

Is juice one of the 2 young males who left their dad and the mining settlement? They left because they chased the women in the ship that visited their planet?
Negative. Those were the Sinha boys in "The Prospectors." Juice was born and raised on Charris quite a while after Damon Mines became a ghost world.
Great story!
It’s the first story I had lisen to. And i’m a bit lost between the different Playlist.
