Fleetwood Mac Fleetwood Mac (The 1st album with Lindsay Buckingham & Stevie Nicks) sold over 4 million at the time - not Rhiannon single. This special is fantastic- I can't wait till you see the rest.
I’m trying to look up if you guys have reviewed Fleetwood Mac’s Hypnotized that came out in ‘73, the year before Stevie and Lindsay joined the band. It’s not showing up that you have, but UA-cam is acting up today. If not, it’s worth a listen. I’ve always loved that song but had no idea til recently that it was their song. IMO you guys are the #1 🎶 reaction channel by a long shot.
Mick had re-married Jenny (Lindsey was best man). Stevie was dating and with other men. What Mick & Stevie had was a year plus non monogamous affair. Stevie's reaction about Mick choosing Sara was rather ridiculous. Stevie and Sara only met and became friends because Stevie had an affair with Sara's husband Jim Recor.
@@brandonboucher7090 Jimmy Iovine was Stevie's producer - they moved in together after about a week of meeting each other and were together off and on for a couple of years. Iovine was also Petty's producer. Petty was married.
So good!!! Yes, they're very famous for their messy relationships, their break-ups, cheating, sleeping with other bandmates (if I remember correctly), still in the band together, writing a song about one person & making them play and sing on it, lol. And while they did all that, they made one of the best albums of all time & subsequently more great music. They're legends. Can't wait for Part 2, thank you guys!
I remember being in middle school, maybe 15 years old, and the teacher asked us what music we were listening too. I mentioned this song Rhiannon from a band called Fleetwood Mac. I was excruciatingly embaressed when every other kids howled with laughter. I'm smiling right now thinking about those losers today😅
This album and group were pivotal in my teens. My eldest sister, now 78y, remembers the lyrics of each track, verbatim, to this day, because I played it every single night, and her bedroom was directly below mine. 😂 We still play it to reminisce. 💖
Yes!! I think they'd really like the documentary 'Sound City' directed by Dave Grohl, about the making of Nirvana's 'Nevermind' album but also showing all the history of the studio & bringing all the great artists who recorded there back into that studio, as it was about to be shut down. I love that Dave bought that soundboard for his own studio.
Please react to the rest of this soon. Still can’t understand how with relationships in the band falling apart, balls of coke getting done, these guys put the band and the recording of an astounding album first. As a kid, we pot punk kids called it hippy shit - we learned. Love your reaction ❤👍🏽👍☘️
This is my second favorite edition of the Classic Albums series. Elton John is probably my third. And if you can find it, watch the documentary on the rise and fall of Tower Records. I think I rose and fell right along with them! It really gives you a snapshot of what life was really like in the 70's.
@@airplay_movies I'll have attend a few games in Sacramento before they move on again. Can I take Amtrak? My first game was May 1969 against the Yankees. Rick Monday hit a Grand Slam in the 8th inning. A's won 4-3. It was Bat Day. Can you imagine that? 12,000 screaming kids, each holding a full sized bat in his hand? As hard to believe in this day and age as Nolan Ryan on a pitch count!! "What do you mean I'm coming out? It's only the top of the 3rd inning!" "Ya, but you've struck out 6, walked 5 and you're up to 112 pitches so you gotta go!" Have a great day guys!
RIP Christine
40 million copies worldwide.
👀
Gone from the relationship, stayed in the band.

As friends gave me their vinyl collections, I discovered that everyone had this album. Rumours crossed all genre preferences. 💜💜💜

I was late to the party but jumped on it. We had a ski boat with a tape deck. Rumors was the “boat tape”. Several years of memories 🥰
As of 2023 Rumours has sold 40 million copies.
It’s a complete clusterfluff. Stevie dated Mick after Lindsay. Then Mick started dating Stevie’s friend Sara. A total mess!
Don’t forget that Jimmy Iovine got a piece while he was mixing as an intern while she was dating Tom Petty

The drums alone on Rumors sound so friggin’ good. It’s the tone of the bass and snare.
Interesting rock history note: Some of this album was recorded at Sound City Studios, the same place where, in 1991, Nirvana would record "Nevermind."

There is a great documentary about the music that came out of that studio
@@Kipper-p9i Yes, it's so good. Called 'Sound City'.
3rd highest seller in history.
Thriller and Grease soundtrack I think,I might be wrong.

Excellent
They are re-opening the Record Plant in Sausilito
You can really tell the difference between the 'real' Classic Album episodes like this and the Aja one, and the poor copies, like the Rubber Soul one.
You should do this for Beach Boys Pet Sounds
BTW, today is the last A's game at the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Complex. Say a prayer and a fond farewell! 😥
Spent many days in that coliseum. Now the A’s are coming to my city. Sacramento!! Parking is going to be terrible. 😂

They aren't mentioning the drugs yet which had a lot to do with the problems.
