If you don’t already know Clone Hero’s hit window (the area where you can hit notes) is much much larger than Festival’s. Clone hero also has a bigger extended hit window range (being able to strum notes slightly before you hit them) and let’s you get away with a lot of spamming (where on hammer on sections you can fret a lot of wrong notes and you won’t break combo.) Overall CH is a much looser game which can create bad habits so I would not recommend learning the game on it. Of course keep playing festival but it would also be worth checking out Yarg which is closer to Festival and works just like CH does when it comes to downloading songs and your CH songs will work on it just fine. When on Yarg make sure to stick to the default engine as the casual engine is basically just Clone Hero’s which you wanna avoid as a beginner
@@BigManGhost You’ve already improved a lot in the few days you showed in the video. Keep playing and eventually you’ll just always play on expert without thinking about it. just thought I’d help out a little, always cool to see more people get into the 5-fret genre
@@ShadowL8er the video was 2 months ago and I just posted a updated video of me playing. I definitely improved lol. I think like the next day after I posted this video I went to expert just cause I felt it was easier to learn expert than work my way up
@@BigManGhost True the lower difficulties on Festival are really lacking. In general Festival isn’t great to learn how to play cause of lazy lower difficulty charting and no tutorials or anything
Funny vid 😂 after just always hitting fc experts, holding my keyboard like a guitar for pro mode and it’s like all the skill went away lmao. But ngl, once you go pro, you can’t go back, cause you feel more like a rockstar now
@@BigManGhostapparently on the PS5 riffmaster, if you hold down all 5 fret buttons and then plug it in it will be recognized as an Xbox controller. So I’m guessing from there, you’d be able to map the buttons onto pro lead controls in Festival
Broo I feel how you feel 😭 I tried learning prolead on keyboard and it’s been 2 months and I’m still dog shit ☠️I can play most songs on extreme but I can’t even comprehend songs with a difficulty 6 and above
@@BigManGhostI’ve been playing pro on controller and it’s been going alright for me (we aren’t gonna talk about how I broke one both of the bumpers by pressing too hard)

honestly its so refreshing to see the little fuck-ups and stuff - i lowkey wanna play with guitar now because of this video 😅
I got the hang of it now but God starting was rough😭
@@BigManGhost haha yeah I can imagine!
"this i can do" then right after "that i cant do" 🤣had me rolling

You can also tilt for Overdrive but depending on your Riffmaster it might not be the most reliable, mine kinda sucks so I use the dpad
@@ShadowL8er I'll definitely have to check out yarg, always saw people talking about it but never actually got around to downloading it

For sure, been using it ever since and got the hang of it fairly fast. It's so much fun. But I still like to go on controller every once in a while
Niceeee, I’m planning on buying one as well, have you check if it works on pc also?
